You mean hold it like you hold ada or btc? No. They just mimic the USD. But they're useful for people to exit the market. Instead of selling your crypto for your currency and transfer it to your bank, you sell crypto for stable coins and withdraw them to your wallet, where no stupid bank manager will make you questions. It's also usually easier and faster to deposit stable coins to the exchange and buy crypto
