NEW: 🚨 BITCOIN MINING DIFFICULTY FALLS 10.09% - SECOND-LARGEST DROP OF 2026
At block 953,568, Bitcoin’s mining difficulty adjusted downward by 10.09%, marking the second-largest decline of the year.
The move follows Bitcoin’s roughly 15% price correction in early June, which squeezed miner margins and forced some operators to shut down older, less efficient ASICs.
The adjustment provides immediate relief for active miners by lowering the computational effort required to find blocks, helping restore profitability and supporting network resilience.
The decline also comes as some mining firms continue shifting infrastructure toward AI and high-performance computing workloads, reallocating energy and hardware away from Bitcoin mining.
