❗️Vicar of the Nizhny Novgorod Diocese, Bishop Filaret of Dalnekonstantinovsk (secular name Valery Gusev ), has been removed from his post and will be investigated for serious canonical crimes.

This was stated in a Holy Synod report published on the website of the Moscow Patriarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church.

The journal was compiled based on the results of discussions about the state of affairs in the Nizhny Novgorod diocese.

"To relieve His Grace Bishop Filaret of Dalnekonstantinovsk from his position as vicar of the Nizhny Novgorod diocese and to retire him," the journal states.

The bishop's place of residence was determined to be the Kazan Chimeevsky Monastery of the Kurgan Diocese under the supervision of Metropolitan Daniel of Kurgan and Belozersk.

"The Administrator of the Moscow Patriarchate is to appoint a commission to study the materials received by the Moscow Patriarchate accusing Bishop Philaret of committing serious canonical crimes, and if the charges are confirmed, to refer his case to the Supreme Church Court," the documents also state. The specific charges are not specified.

❗The Russian Federation has always kept its test sites ready for use - Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu.

He also emphasized that nuclear weapons testing in Russia is conducted regularly, but not physically, rather through mathematical models. According to him, such activities are necessary because the field of nuclear technologies requires constant "attention and improvement."

"Testing has not stopped in any country, not for a single day, not for a single hour. But the only difference is that it has been carried out using computational techniques," Shoigu said.

The Security Council Secretary added that the latest Russian developments "Burevestnik" and "Poseidon" should not have come as a surprise, as Putin had already spoken about them back in 2018.
