❗️A Queensland man accused of threatening to kill Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has been refused bail, with a magistrate describing his alleged threats as "deeply disturbing".

Norman Dean Lake appeared via video link in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Thursday, charged with using a carriage service to make threats to kill.

It is alleged that on September 19, Mr Lake posted on Facebook: "mark my words, I will kill the Australian prime minister".
