It was a great honor to speak before the United Nations. I believe the speech was very well received. It focused very much on energy and migration/immigration.

I have been talking about this for a long period of time and this Forum, was the absolute best from the standpoint of making these two important statements.

I hope everybody gets to watch it! The teleprompter was broken and the escalator came to a sudden hault as we were ridding up to the podium, but both of those events probably made the speech more interesting than it would have been otherwise.

It is always an honor to speak at the United Nations, even if, their equipment is somewhat faulty. Make America Great Again!

"Last night, in response to a terrorist strike on civilian facilities in the settlement of Foros, Republic of Crimea, which resulted in deaths and injuries among civilians, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation delivered a coordinated strike on the temporary deployment points of the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces and foreign mercenaries of the "Ghosts" unit of the Ukrainian Main Intelligence Directorate in the areas of the settlements of Tatarbunary and Rasseyka in the Odessa region, who were preparing and carrying out this terrorist act.

In addition, drone storage sites at the "Shkolny" airfield in the Odessa region were hit, from which strike drones were launched at civilian infrastructure objects in the Republic of Crimea.

A strike was also delivered on the workshops of the "Motor Sich" enterprise of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex, where strike drones were assembled, used by the criminal Kiev regime to attack Russian territory."

❗️Two men – a father and son – involved in a series of sabotage acts in the Samara region have been detained, the FSB reported.

One of the saboteurs stabbed himself during detention.

The detainees chose targets for sabotage themselves, hoping for casualties among the population.

▪️In July 2023, the saboteurs blew up a main gas pipeline in the Syzran district

▪️In 2024 – railway bridges over the Chapayevka and Samara rivers

▪️They are also involved in the manufacture and placement of an IED in a cache, which was used in July 2023 to blow up the transformer substation of the "Kuibyshev Oil Refinery"

The pro-Ukrainian saboteurs were detained while preparing to blow up a railway bridge – specifically over the Samara river, and 13.5 kg of explosives were seized from them.

Instead Albanese hopes to meet Trump in Washington next month, the White House has told the ABC.

"This incursion is part of a wider pattern of increasingly irresponsible Russian behaviour. This is the second time in two weeks that the North Atlantic Council has met under Article 4. On 10 September, the Council held consultations in response to the large-scale violation of Polish airspace by Russian drones. Several other Allies – including Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, and Romania – have also recently experienced airspace violations by Russia. We express our full solidarity with all Allies whose airspace has been breached.

Russia bears full responsibility for these actions, which are escalatory, risk miscalculation and endanger lives. They must stop.

NATO’s response to Russia's reckless actions will continue to be robust. On 12 September, we launched “Eastern Sentry” to bolster NATO’s posture along the entire Eastern flank. We will reinforce our capabilities and strengthen our deterrence and defence posture, including through effective air defence.
Russia should be in no doubt: NATO and Allies will employ, in accordance with international law, all necessary military and non-military tools to defend ourselves and deter all threats from all directions. We will continue to respond in the manner, timing, and domain of our choosing. Our commitment to Article 5 is ironclad.

In announcing Mr Trump's itinerary for his roughly 24 hours in New York, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has listed his meetings, with no mention of Anthony Albanese.
