Ворота консульства России в Сиднее протаранил автомобиль, передает телеканал 9News.

Сообщается, что водитель был арестован после того, как машина въехала на территорию генерального консульства России в Сиднее. Утверждается, он протаранил ворота на своей машине.

По данным канала, жертв нет, но пострадал полицейский – у него травма руки. 39-летний подозреваемый сотрудничает со следствием. Мотив его поступка пока неизвестен СМИ.

A suspicious vehicle was reported to be parked in the driveway of the consulate on Fullerton Street in Woollahra about 8am on Monday.

❗️Police apprehended the driver of a white Toyota Kluger SUV, who rammed his vehicle into the consulate’s gates and onto the property.

The 39-year-old man was arrested under the Russian Consulate's flag mast taken to Surry Hills police station.

During the police response, a 24-year-old police officer sustained an injury to his hand.

NSW Ambulance confirmed the man sustained a cut to his hand, but it’s not yet clear how he was injured.

Following the arrest, the vehicle could be seen on the grass with broken glass in the front drivers and passenger doors. Police officers could be seen searching the vehicle.
