🚨 Indian crypto exchange #WazirX has been hacked via a multi-signature ETH wallet.

Exchange assets totaling $234.9 million were transferred to the address: 0x04b2. All transactions were processed through the Tornado Cash mixer.

Total stolen from the exchange:
🟣 5.43 trillion SHIB ($102 million)
🟣 15,298 ETH ($52.5 million)
🟣 20.5 million MATIC ($11.24 million)
🟣 640.27 billion PEPE ($7.6 million)
🟣 5.79 million USDT
🟣 135 million GALA ($3.5 million)

Wallet "0x04b2" started dumping these assets on the market. It has already sold 640.27 billion PEPE tokens for approximately $7.6 million and 35 billion SHIB ($618,000), currently holding 5.4 trillion SHIB ($95.45 million).

After the attack, the hacker transferred assets to 2 additional wallets:
🟣 0x35f
🟣 0x90c

Currently, the perpetrator has transferred all PEPE, GALA, RNDR, COS, OGN, REQ, and other assets to these 2 wallets. They have already sold some, receiving 5,270 ETH ($18.14 million) in return, and continue to sell the remaining assets.

📉 Who controls the cryptocurrency market?

Market makers and funds have access to insider information and vast resources. They play a key role in managing the market.

🔽 In addition to news, today’s market dump may be directly linked to these large transfers. The biggest players have moved significant amounts of ETH to exchanges. This creates selling pressure and can lead to price declines.

Since August 3, five leading market makers have transferred over 130,000 ETH to centralized exchanges (CEX), totaling approximately $300 million.

🟢 Wintermute transferred 2,691 ETH ($6.1 million) to CEX, sending ETH to block builders, Robinhood, Cumberland DRW, and wrapping it in wETH.

🟢 Jump Trading transferred 28,000 ETH ($63.6 million) to CEX.

🟢 Flow Traders transferred 1,900 ETH ($4.3 million) to CEX, sending ETH to other addresses, including B2C2 Group, VanEck, and WisdomTree.

🟢 GSR Markets transferred 292.1 ETH ($663,959) to CEX.

🟢 Amber Group transferred 12,310 ETH ($28.0 million) to CEX, sending ETH to other addresses.

Key indicators to pay attention to:

🟣 The U.S. government transferred 0.041 ETH ($96) to a new wallet 16 minutes ago, which may be an address verification. The U.S. government currently holds 50,524 ETH ($117.8 million).

Update: 300 ETH were transferred.

🟣 Altcoin prices are lower than at the beginning of the bear cycle in 2022-2023.
🟣 In the last 24 hours, market liquidations amounted to nearly two billion dollars.
🟣 Bitcoin dominance today was 58%, a new record in over 700 days!
🟣 Panic and total liquidations are forcing many traders to sell altcoins at a loss.
