What makes this situation interesting?

💰 Both exchanges have a funding rate every 8 hours, but Bybit's funding was applied at 7 PM, while Kucoin will apply it at 11 PM.

Here’s how our user profits from this:
1. They went long on Kucoin.
2. They went short on Bybit.
3. At 11 PM, the funding was accrued, profit from it 0.4% on Kucoin from the funding and paying 0% for funding on Bybit.
4. Close the deal.
5. Open a long position on Bybit and a short position on Kucoin, then wait for the funding again.

What nuances might this strategy have?
🔵The price spread will likely be negative, so the funding percentage should cover any potential losses from the deal.
🔵The funding can vary significantly over these 8 hours, just like the price spread. By the time the funding is accrued on one of the exchanges, it may change considerably.
