Kerr County Sheriff Larry Leitha just confirmed the grim reality of the catastrophic flooding in central Texas.
“Operations are ongoing throughout Kerr County.”
“We’re using assets from local, state, and national first responders.”
“Hundreds of trained first responders are working every aspect of this emergency.”
The death toll is staggering:
“As of 8:30 this morning, we recovered 75 deceased here in Kerr County, including 48 adults and 27 children.”
Identification is still underway:
“Of those 48 adults and 27 children, 15 adults and 9 children are pending identification.”
And the search for the missing continues.
“At present, there were 10 campers from Camp Mystic unaccounted for and one counselor.”
“We continue to offer our condolences to those affected. Reuniting the families remains our top priority here on this operation.”

But honestly, no one should be surprised.
CNN’s data analyst Harry Enten broke down the stunning shift in American pride along party lines...and the numbers don’t lie.
“Today, on our Independence Day, I’m looking into whether or not Americans feel proud to be an American.”
“As it turns out, Democrats....their percentage who say they’re proud to be an American has fallen through the floor.”
He explained just how steep the drop has been:
“In 2015, four out of five Democrats were extremely or very proud to be an American.”
“That number has PLUMMETED to just 36% now.”
It gets even worse among young Democrats:
“Generation Z Democrats proud to be an American or not....only 24%. 24% of Generation Z Democrats are extremely or very proud to be an American.”
“I just never thought I’d see these numbers based upon where we were a decade ago.”
And what about Republicans? The contrast couldn’t be clearer:
“Republicans’ pride to be an American...extremely or very proud....was 90% in 2015 during Barack Obama’s second term. Now, in Donald Trump’s second term, it’s basically the same percentage: 92%.”
In other words, Republicans have remained rock solid in their pride for America while Democrats’ numbers have fallen off a cliff.

BREAKING: President Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” has officially PASSED the House.
It’s done.
The bill now heads straight to Trump’s desk, ahead of his July 4th deadline.
After weeks of tense negotiations and late-night battles between the President, the House, and the Senate, the fight is finally over.
The final vote was razor-thin: 218 yea to 214 nay.
Only two Republicans broke ranks and voted no:
Rep. Thomas Massie (KY)
Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (PA)
Speaker Mike Johnson gaveled it in with the decisive words:
“On this vote, the yea’s are 218, the nay’s are 214, the motion is adopted!”
The Republican side erupted in cheers and “USA! USA!” chants filled the chamber.
Trump is expected to sign the landmark bill into law at some point in the next 24 hours.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent says Trump’s critics have simply swapped their old “Trump Derangement Syndrome” for a new version he’s dubbing “Tariff Derangement Syndrome.”
“Well, Joe, as I’ve said over the past few weeks, TDS, which used to mean Trump Derangement Syndrome, has turned into ‘Tariff Derangement Syndrome.’”
Bessent pointed out these same critics were sure the economy would stall or inflation would spike.....none of which happened.
They were wrong....again.
“None of that has happened. And as a matter of fact, we’re taking in substantial tariff income…”
“Some Democrat made the mistake of asking the CBO to score tariff. Over the ten-year window, that’s $2.8 trillion based on the current deals. And I can tell you that the deals that are coming out will be slightly higher than that.”
“So again, I don’t like CBO scoring, but $2.83 trillion over the ten-year window substantially eases the deficit.”
Not exactly the catastrophe Trump’s critics were hoping for.

This is satisfying to watch.
BASH: “You’ve seen and heard a lot of the concern, including and especially from Republicans, who are the most vocal in Congress, about the fact that those work requirements are going to be very cumbersome to actually prove and it will inevitably force the people who need that Medicaid coverage off the rolls.”
BESSENT: “Well, first of all, the Republicans are not the most vocal on this. It is a group of Democrats who, unfortunately, seem to think that poor people are stupid. I don’t think poor people are stupid. I think they have agency, and I think to have them register twice a year for these benefits—that is not a burden. But these people who want to infantilize the poor and those who need these Medicaid benefits are alarmists.”
BASH: “But I do want to move on because—”
“NO, NO, NO,” Bessent interrupted firmly.
“We’ve also wanted to put in work requirements, which somehow was very popular under Bill Clinton, was POPULAR under President Obama… But work requirements even poll well with the median Democratic voter, maybe not the fringe.”

🔥 HASSETT: “This bill is going to put JET FUEL into the U.S. economy.”
National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett was asked why it was so critical to pass President Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill.
His answer was absolutely electric.
“Look, this bill is going to put jet fuel into the U.S. economy and give us the greatest economy any of us have ever seen.”
He reminded everyone what happened last time Trump pushed major tax reform:
“Last time we gave you 3% growth and $6,000 in the pockets of the typical family. We’re looking at growth much higher than that and more than $10,000 going into the pockets of the typical family because of the incredible effects of this bill.”
But the best part is how clear the benefits are for everyday Americans:
“There are direct and indirect tax benefits that are very, very easy to understand so it will be almost impossible for anyone to disagree it will be great for the American people.”
“If you don’t have the tax on overtime, then the 90 million workers that are hourly workers in America aren’t paying tax on overtime.”
“Same thing with no tax on tips and no tax on social security benefits.”
“What President Trump has done is he’s taken the REALLY powerful supply side stuff that he had in the previous bill and he’s doubled down on stuff that has really clear direct benefits for blue collar workers.”

This is going to be one for the history books. 🇺🇸
President Trump just announced that tomorrow, on America’s 249th birthday, he’ll hold a patriotic signing ceremony for the newly passed Big Beautiful Bill in Washington, D.C.
And in true Trump fashion, it won’t be your typical photo op.
“So we are signing at about 5:00—at about 5:00, we're going to have B-2s and F-22s and F-35s flying right over the White House,” Trump told reporters.
He said the event will include Speaker Mike Johnson, Senator John Thune, and a huge lineup of Republican lawmakers.
“It's going to be a great day.”
“So we will be signing with those beautiful planes flying right over our heads.”
