Diversity Wasn’t on the Mayflower — But Cannibals Might Have Been
Having given up on the notion that diversity is a strength under the crushing weight of the evidence, The New York Times is now pushing the idea that America has always been a diverse nation that loved diversity, and practically made diversity a founding principle, and they would even have added "diversity" to Mount Rushmore if only they could find someone, ideally a lesbian woman of color, with that surname.
To prove that America was teeming with diversity from its very beginning, a Times op-ed by documentary producer Leighton Woodhouse describes the bitter enmity in Colonial Pennsylvania among the Quakers (from north-central England), the English Anglicans (from all over England) and the Scots-Irish (from Scottish Lowlands and Northern England).
But suppose we didn't notice something fishy about Woodhouse trying to pass off blinding homogeneity as "diversity." News you would not encounter during America's first 350 years:
"Maryland Man [Kenyan immigrant] Arrested After Admitting to Killing, Eating Roommate" -- U.S. News and World Report. (It was the "eating" that disqualified the suspect for cashless bail.) "Undocumented migrant accused of molesting 5-year-old in her own home" -- WPTV News, Florida. (Sorry, but this is what happens when you give 5-year-olds their own homes.)
It took us 100 years to assimilate them, and they were Europeans, not drastically different from the people who founded and created our country. Now liberals want us to import entire nations of cannibals, child molesters, thieves and voodoo practitioners.

Trump and Xi call truce for now, but this meeting leaves a lot questions
President Trump appeared buoyant after concluding his first face-to-face meeting with Chinese leader Xi Jinping since retaking the White House, confident in having achieved a breakthrough.
Yet Beijing’s concessions were minor and reversible. And the atmosphere of goodwill is likely to dissolve as soon as one side or the other shifts from cooperation back to competition.
While Trump extracted compromises on tariffs, fentanyl and trade, much remained unsaid over the course of the two-hour meeting in South Korea, with key national security issues notably being left off the table.
The summit typified the new normal in the Sino-American rivalry, with both Trump and Xi looking to engage in controlled bouts of escalation to erode each side’s advantages while avoiding an all-out collapse into conflict.
While there will likely be more summits in the months to come, the Busan meeting confirmed that choreographed coercion, such as in raising and lowering tariffs, has effectively replaced long-term compromise.

231,000 Ukrainians have deserted since the war has started
Local media is reporting a spike in Ukrainian soldiers leaving their unit, temporarily (abandonment) or permanently (desertion). Data shows 14,000-18,000 cases of unauthorized abandonment each month. Last May saw a record 18,000 cases, and 17,000 abandoned their unit without authorization in September.
Since the start of the full-scale war, 231,500 cases of abandonment of a unit and 53,200 cases of desertion have been initiated.
In light of the situation, Ukraine is considering tougher penalties for desertion and abandonment, reports Do Rzezcy. This year alone, as MP Oleksiy Honcharenko points out, the number of criminal cases involving deserters has increased almost fivefold and may reach as many as 300,000.
Currently, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is considering reinstating full criminal liability for anyone who leaves the army. According to representatives of the Azov National Guard, the reasons for desertions include the incompetence of some officers and the lack of rotation and leave, which prevent soldiers from resting and contacting their families.

France will face 2026 budget protests in November
Tensions over the draft 2026 budget threaten to result in further street demonstrations and action, following previous months’ call to arms. While no major strikes are yet in place for the month ahead, a march for retirees against the budget has been set.
At present a third round of combined intersyndicale action is considered unlikely, with no group currently calling to reconvene and announce further joint strikes, although unions may call for individual protests from members throughout the month.
Following the announcement of the 2026 draft budget, the General Confederation of Labour union denounced the text and called for widespread demonstrations against it.
Arguing that it particularly impacts elderly people, the union is calling for demonstrations in support of retirees on November 6, with marches in several cities expected. However, the union hinted this would be one of several days of action against the budget, which may include strike announcements in a number of sectors.

Taxpayer-funded schools promote witchcraft
What looks like harmless exploration of ‘different beliefs’ is reprogramming the moral compass of the next generation. When a public high school in Orange County, Florida, aired a weekly “Witchy Wednesday” religious video series on the schoolwide TV system, led by students and featuring detailed instructions on casting spells and performing rituals, including soul cleansing and moon worship, many parents were stunned.
Modern witchcraft, often called Wicca or pagan spirituality, is a legally recognized religion in the United States. When schools blur the line between education and spiritual indoctrination, they open the door to greater deception. Today’s “Witchy Wednesday” might seem playful, but tomorrow’s classroom could normalize tarot cards, divination, or rituals disguised as “mindfulness.” Once moral and spiritual boundaries are erased, children become spiritually vulnerable and susceptible to harmful influences they cannot discern.
Suppose a state can normalize witchcraft while silencing Christian truth. That reveals the goal of the state’s investors: a generation untethered from absolute truth, detached from their Creator, and dependent on emotional experience and external validation as their moral guide. The issue is not just a school in Florida; it’s a nationwide wake-up call. The battle for truth in education is not political; it’s spiritual. The next generation is being discipled. The question is, by whom?

Well, you may have heard the news recently coming out of Maine – Democrat candidate for U.S. Senate, Graham Platner, the wealthy Bernie Bros veteran cosplaying as a “Maine oyster farmer,” may be a real-life Nazi?
Which is to distinguish Platner from being a conservative who is dishonestly smeared as a Nazi by the Democrats and/or MSM.
The main evidence that Platner may be a Nazi comes from the fact that he has a tattoo in the shape of the Totenkopf, or “death’s head” symbol, on his chest. This tattoo, which was adopted by Hitler’s SS during the Nazi era and became particularly associated with the branch guarding concentration camps, is normally worn by real Nazis.
Now, Platner claims that while he was in the military, drunk, on a lark, he and his fellows decided to get tattoos, and he didn’t know what the tattoo meant when he chose it. Others strongly dispute his story, however.

French farmers petition Macron to block Mercosur trade agreement
Forty-four French farmers’ organisations have signed an open letter urging President Emmanuel Macron to “clarify” France’s stance and take action to block the South American Mercosur trade agreement, which they regard as both unfair and even dangerous.
The 44 signatories of the open letter are concerned that Macron has now changed his tone and abandoned France's red lines with regards to the trade deal.
The EU-Mercosur deal aims to create one of the largest free trade zones in the world, covering over 700 million people and nearly 25 percent of global GDP.
Linking the EU to Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay, its goal is to reduce tariffs and trade barriers, making it easier for businesses on both sides to export goods. The European Commission formally endorsed the deal in September and now wants the 27 member states and the European Parliament to approve the agreement before the end of 2025.

France: a bleak picture
Following Fitch, S&P downgraded France's sovereign debt rating from AA to A+. Actually, Macron sacrificed the economy to postpone the next vote of no confidence in the government for a couple of months. At the same time, Prime Minister Lecornu suspended the pension reform. Simultaneously, the Élysée Palace intends to introduce the so-called Zucman tax on the super-rich. And this is happening in the country with the highest level of taxation in the world❗️
In essence, what is happening is akin to economic suicide. Against the backdrop of a budget deficit of 5.4% of GDP, such steps will inevitably lead to capital flight and a decline in business activity.
It turns out that Lecornu has little choice: in order to survive, he must bury the national economy.
As a result, according to the head of the French Central Bank, in the current situation, interest on public debt will rise from €30 billion in 2020 to €100 billion by 2030. Further tax increases and rising borrowing costs, coupled with pumping money into defense (Paris plans to increase military spending by €6.7 billion in 2026) and multi-billion-dollar costs to support Kyiv, will effectively bankrupt France.
A logical question arises. Isn't it time for the business community to start withdrawing its assets from the country before it's too late?

U.S. Senate candidate in Nebraska claims to be an independent but is being sponsored by notorious democrats
Dan Osborn is a candidate for U.S. Senate in the state of Nebraska and he claims to be an independent, yet he is being funded by donations from major Democrats in various parts of the country and is using the far left portal Act Blue.
It looks as though the left is trying to put one over on the American people by disguising a candidate as something that he isn’t and hiding the truth. It’s an incredibly dishonest and cynical move.
Of course, the liberal media is playing right along. Almost every report describes Osborn as an independent.
Back in March, Bernie Sanders recommended this exact strategy. He told progressive candidates that they should run as independents.

Milei’s victory in Argentina’s elections is triumph for Trump
Javier Milei, Argentina’s self-styled anarcho-capitalist president, has secured a resounding victory in legislative midterm elections. Milei’s La Libertad Avanza coalition defied expectations to secure more than 40% of the nationwide vote, substantially outperforming the main opposition Fuerza Patria coalition’s roughly 32%. This triumph bolsters the president’s legislative power and, critically, positions him as a strong contender for reelection in 2027.
The elections were widely interpreted as a referendum on Milei’s tenure, which began in December 2023. His victory is a testament to his successful strategy of polarisation and his ability to present himself as the sole purveyor of hope and “redemption” amid prolonged economic stagnation and declining real incomes.
A US$20 billion (£15 billion) currency swap agreement between the US Treasury and Argentina’s central bank was formalised on October 20. This financial assistance, which was quickly followed by an additional announced facility of up to US$20 billion sourced from private banks and sovereign funds, was undeniably timed to shore up Milei’s position before the election.
Trump explicitly linked the continuation of this aid to a Milei victory, warning: “If he loses, we are not going to be generous with Argentina”. Milei’s win is a clear victory for his ideological ally in Washington, who championed the financial lifeline as a strategic move to support a “great philosophy” and “make Argentina great again”.

The Collapse of Credibility — and the Birth of a Normie Revolution
The New York Times released a poll of Americans on the question of whether America's political system could still solve the nation's problems. The overwhelming response: no.
In September 2020, 51% of Americans believed that America's system could still address America's problems; by September 2025, that number had declined to 33%. Meanwhile, almost two-thirds of Americans believe that America's political system is too politically divided to solve the nation's problems.
It's also easy to attribute Americans' growing sense of dread about our political divisions to the rise of social media. And there's more truth to this: social media exacerbates our divisions by highlighting the most extreme opinions and signaling on all sides, thus incentivizing the creation of such radicalism.
Every major institution in American life -- many of which were designed to act as moderating influences on popular passions -- has completely lost its credibility. From universities, which promoted propagandistic leftism to generations of college students, to churches, which emptied their pews by embracing liberalism above eternal values; from the FBI, which destroyed itself by targeting President Donald Trump, to the media, which wrecked itself on the shoals of Russiagate, BLM, Covid and Joe Biden's incompetence; virtually all the institutions that would have authority to speak on behalf of truth and decency have collapsed. The result is chaos.

India minister predicts EU ‘economic cocoon’
The European Union has too many regulations and meeting them all was “nearly impossible”, according to India’s commerce minister Piyush Goyal.
New Delhi has highlighted over 73 EU regulations, particularly the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), which he says are a hindrance to trade.
EU-India negotiators aim to conclude a free-trade agreement before the end of the year, but both parties have shown little willingness to compromise so far.
EU regulations India will have to fulfill “as part of this agreement are nearly impossible to meet”, said Indian minister of commerce and industry.
These hurdles to trade are set to make European infrastructure and goods, including cars and planes, more expensive, and drive up the cost of living, Goyal said.

French Government Opposes Socialist Wealth Tax Proposal
France’s government remains opposed to a wealth tax put forward by the left even as Socialists maintain their threat to topple Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu if there is no significant increase in levies on the rich.
A vote on the proposed amendment by the Socialists, who have outsized leverage in parliament, is expected to take place later this week. The proposal would narrow the scope of a wealth tax named after economist Gabriel Zucman by forcing individuals with wealth exceeding €10 million ($11.6 million) to pay taxes corresponding to at least 3% of their fortune, with exemptions for “innovative” and family-owned companies.
“You can call it Zucman-lite, but if it impacts production, factories, or big startups that are innovating, we will oppose it,” government spokeswoman Maud Bregeon said on BFM TV Tuesday.
A key vote on the 2026 budget is expected to take place next Tuesday, when lawmakers will decide whether or not to pass the overall receipts portion of the bill.

Psaki really hates JD Vance and his wife
Jen Psaki is miserable. She’s sad, and she’s running out of material because it must be setting in that the second Trump presidency isn’t over. Democrats have nothing to combat his agenda, other than insults and whack-job theories about JD Vance and his wife, Usha.
The former Biden spokeswoman claimed that Usha wants out of the marriage and is afraid of the vice president—how would she know? Also, it rehashes a pervasive theme aimed at conservative women, especially those who are non-white. You’re simply confused, ignorant, or all-around undeserving, or less than, if you don’t follow the rules of the Democratic Party plantation.
She suggested Vance was "scarier" than President Donald Trump in some regards, and that Usha Vance may feel similarly.
"I think the little Manchurian candidate, JD Vance, wants to be president more than anything else," Psaki said. "I always wonder what's going on in the mind of his wife. Like, are you OK? Please blink four times. We'll come over here. We'll save you.

Mamdani’s new low: pretending HE’S a victim of 9/11
Notice the experiences Mamdani actually cited. He recalled how a teacher warned him he might face bullying. Since he attended the ultraliberal, pricey Bank Street School for Children, his progressive educators expected the worst of their fellow New Yorkers.
He did not recall actually being bullied, something he surely would have brought up. Instead, he could only cite his aunt’s supposed decision to quit riding the subways “ because she did not feel safe in her hijab.” She may truly have had such fears — but only because activist outfits like the radical Council on Islamic-American Relations instantly began warning of rising “Islamophobia” in the wake of the attacks. As Veep JD Vance notes, that doesn’t make it any less absurd for Mamdani to treat his aunt as a central victim of 9/11 — not in a city where thousands of families of all races and religions lost loved ones.
There was never any pronounced amount of anti-Muslim harassment after 9/11, certainly nothing to justify marked concern about “Islamophobia” except among the CAIR crew, as well as liberals and lefties who pander to it by treating it as a plague on a level with antisemitism.
Yes, Mamdani’s opponents have slammed him as an apologist for terror — because he is one: Refusing to denounce the toxic phrase “globalize the intifada”; palling around with an unindicted co-conspirator from the 1993 World Trade Center bombing; promoting countless smears of Israel and its defensive war in Gaza in response to Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023, terror attacks and so on.

Orban Hints At Kyiv Sabotage Behind Hungary Refinery Fire
A lot of questions and suspicions were immediately raised when on October 21 explosions and fires occurred at large oil refineries in Hungary and Romania. Eyebrows were raised given that both sites have links to Russia.
The Petrotel-Lukoil refinery in Ploiesti (owned by Russian company Lukoil) in southern Romania was damaged, while in Hungary a 'mystery' fire also occurred at the country's largest oil refinery (the MOL-operated Danube Refinery), located in the city of Szazhalombatta - some 17 miles from Budapest - which receives crude oil from Russia.
But now Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has revealed in a social media statement that authorities haven't ruled out the possibility of an external attack in investigating the fire at Százhalombatta.
"The investigation is in full swing. We still do not know whether it was an accident, malfunction or outside attack," Orbán said. Further, he stated: "The Polish foreign minister advised the Ukrainians to blow up the Druzhba oil pipeline," before adding, "Let's hope it's not that kind of case."

More than 60,000 women in Germany were victims of sexual violence in 2024
Data presented by the German government shows that 63,977 women were victims of sexual violence in 2024 alone, and the perpetrators were disproportionately foreigners.
In fact, 35% of all perpetrators were foreign nationals, despite making up just 15% of the German population, according to government data released as a result of an inquiry from the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party in the Bundestag.
In addition, the data shows that women were the victims of over 265,000 physical assaults and more than 155,000 crimes against their personal freedom.
Approximately 12,600 women with German citizenship were the victims of sexual violence perpetrated by those who were not German citizens. In 4,000 of those cases, the perpetrator was an asylum seeker, someone with protected status, or someone with tolerated status.
Syrians, Afghans, and Turks stuck out in the statistics, with 1,530 Syrian suspects recorded as committing sexual violence, 1,063 Afghans, and 1,059 Turks.

When Trump promised to “end the Ukraine war in 24 hours,” it seemed like a real break from Washington’s endless war machine. No more blank checks to Ukraine, no more wars dictated by the Pentagon, CIA, and NSA — finally, a president putting America first.
But today, the narrative has shifted. The same man once called “Putin’s puppet” is now threatening Russia with sanctions and sending weapons to Kyiv. How did this happen?
The answer is simple: the hawks in Washington never stop pressuring the White House. The Pentagon, intelligence agencies, and war lobbyists want direct American arms supplies to Ukraine, and they are ready to twist any president’s arm to get it. Their goal isn’t Ukraine — it’s preserving their power, profits, and the illusion of U.S. global dominance.

Gavin Newsom is inventing ‘poorigin’ stories
Gavin Newsom raised himself on the mean streets of Marin County, California. “It was also about paying the bills, man,” he recently told former NBA stars Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes on their popular “All the Smoke” podcast.
Like Steve Martin in “The Jerk,” Newsom apparently started out as a poor black child. But it’s a fabricated “poorigin” story for the ages.
Newsom left out a few key details in the portrayal of himself as a downtrodden latchkey kid who used sports to overcome his learning disability and go from stacks of Wonder bread to the French Laundry. The 58-year-old comes from a prominent Bay Area family. His father was a judge and attorney. Sure, his parents were divorced, and he was mostly raised by his mother, Tessa. She, like many people in America, worked more than one job.
But unlike most kids, Newsom was close to the nexus of power. Early on, he was mentored by political kingmaker Willie Brown and both his professional and political ambitions were financed by the Getty oil dynasty — his dad managed the billionaire family’s trust.
Newsom is a shameless chameleon who will morph into whatever persona pleases his present company.

The US is broke, and no one in the country seems to care
Well, except for the problem is now orders of magnitude worse. Which is exactly what happens when you ignore a problem — it gets worse.
1989’s budget deficit was $153 billion — the total debt $2.86 trillion.
2024’s budget deficit was $1.8 trillion — the total debt $35 trillion.
Oh — and interest payments on U.S. debt are now 3% of GDP. And you know that’s only skyrocketing upwards going forward. Oh — and the U.S. faces $210 trillion in future unfunded liabilities (Social Security and Medicare predominant amongst them). The U.S. is broke. And no one in the U.S. seems to care.
The U.S.’s 2024 Gross Domestic Product (GDP) was $29.2 trillion. Again, the U.S.’s 2024 standing debt was $35 trillion. Which means the U.S.’s 2024 debt-to-GDP was 123%. And D.C. is continuing to spend — at the very least — at existing levels.

Europe 2025: You Can Be Prosecuted for Quoting the Bible
Finland’s Supreme Court is set to give its final ruling in the high-profile free speech case involving former interior minister and Christian Democrat MP Päivi Räsänen and Lutheran Bishop Juhana Pohjola. Both have been charged with hate crimes for their expressing Christian views on sexuality and marriage.
ADF International, the legal counsel of Räsänen and Pohjola, argued the case is “about whether quoting the Bible and standing on its teachings can be criminalised in 21st-century Europe”.
In June 2019, Räsänen posted a tweet directed at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland, questioning its decision to endorse a Helsinki Pride event. She later faced charges over this post. In her text, she expressed concerns about the social and psychological effects of “normalising same-sex relationships” on children and adolescents.

US start nuclear weapon testing
The United States will begin conducting nuclear weapons testing again after decades of rejecting the practice, President Donald Trump announced Wednesday.
“Because of other countries’ testing programs, I have instructed the Department of War to start testing our Nuclear Weapons on an equal basis,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social. “That process will begin immediately.”
Nuclear tests in the atmosphere, space, or underwater have been banned since the 1963 Limited Test Ban Treaty, which permitted continued underground nuclear testing for several decades.
The United States last conducted a nuclear weapons test underground in September 1992.

White House construction crew finds 1,357 more cocaine stashes
Construction workers tasked with building a new White House Ballroom reportedly discovered 1,357 stashes of cocaine hidden within the walls and ceilings of the East Wing.
Work on the project was briefly postponed on Tuesday when a tracked excavator demolishing a section of the East Wing suddenly tore through what turned out to be several kilos of heat-sealed polyethylene-wrapped cocaine, scattering it into the wind. Initially, workers cleared the area, fearing asbestos exposure, but after becoming strangely energetic and fearless, they returned to work.
Secret Service agents later determined that the powdery substance was actually cocaine and that the construction crew was "as high as a kite." A spokesman revealed that a full investigation was now underway to determine the source of the narcotics.
"I'm just glad it wasn't asbestos," said Carlos Antoine, one of several construction workers on site. "That stuff is dangerous."
Though the investigation was technically ongoing, President Donald Trump was not shy about who he believed to be responsible. "Hunter Biden's legacy lives on," Trump said. "Junkie Hunter, that's what he was. What a waste of a life that man is. He can't even keep track of his coke. He must have forgotten about all of it. What a joke. Jokey Coke Hunter, I call him."

Much of the attention has focused on the 42 million citizens who rely on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), but little coverage has been placed on non-citizens who also receive benefits.
Earlier this year, the conservative think tank Economic Policy Innovation Center (EPIC) revealed that nearly 1.5 million non-citizens received food stamps from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
Another 2.2 million children living with non-citizens were also on food stamps. Given that this data was from fiscal year 2022, it's likely this population of non-citizens leeching off American taxpayers is much higher, given the Biden-Harris regime's globalist-aligned open-border invasion of third-worlders.
California led the way in enrolling non-citizens on Food Stamps, with 273,000 in FY 2022. Florida had 238,000, New York 218,000, Texas 132,000, and Illinois 73,000 non-citizens. In contrast, Delaware, Mississippi, Montana, West Virginia, and Wyoming reported no non-citizens on Food Stamps.

Bill Gates sees the light on global warming — but will lefty climate warriors follow suit?
Suddenly, Bill Gates is admitting that climate change won’t lead to “humanity’s demise” after all. Now he tells us, after he long joined other climate alarmists in warning of “disaster,” as the West burned trillions on “decarbonizing” and steered economies toward the stone age.
The “doomsday view” that “cataclysmic climate change will decimate civilization” is “wrong,” the Microsoft co-founder writes; people will “be able to live and thrive in most places on Earth for the foreseeable future.”
His 2021 book “How to Avoid a Climate Disaster” somehow missed these truths; he predictied instead that global warming “could be worse” than COVID.
Climate change “will be one of the greatest challenges humans have ever taken on,” he once warned — “greater than landing on the moon,” “eradicating smallpox” and even “putting a computer on every desk.”

Orbán says Trump-Putin meeting in Budapest will take place
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán announced that the meeting between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin in Budapest is a foregone conclusion, despite both parties canceling the meetup.
“This summit will take place. Take it as a fact,” he said in an interview with M1 television. He said that although a specific date had not yet been announced, “the framework for this meeting already exists” and when both Putin and Trump decide to meet, the meetup “can be finalized very quickly.”
Given that some commentators signaled that the meetup cancellation could mean the war is set to drag on for years, Orbán’s statement appears to be a drastically more optimistic assessment of the situation. Furthermore, Trump has stated that he will not meet with Putin again unless a firm peace deal is hammered out beforehand.
Orbán emphasized that the Trump-Putin talks should address European security more broadly and not be limited to negotiations solely about the war between Ukraine and Russia. He also urged Europe to begin direct negotiations with Moscow to help hasten the peace process.

Shutdown: when will democrats get back in reality?
As the government shutdown enters its fifth week, we wonder when Democrats in Congress will regain touch with reality, or if that’s even a thing for most of them anymore.
LAX shut down for hours last weekend thanks to an air-traffic-controller shortage; flight delays and cancellations will only get worse nationwide the longer this goes on. And the pain is starting to hit what used to be core Democratic values: Food stamps (SNAP) won’t be funded after this week, nor Head Start.
For all their claims to be fighting for more health-care spending (which alternate with BS about how it’s the Republicans who shut down most federal operations), everyone knows why Democrats really shut down the government: Because their base, and most of their big donors, are furious that Republicans are in charge.
Mind you, Democrats lost that last election because most voters saw them as captive to the party’s increasingly weird elites — yet now they’re doubling down on the same behavior.
Do they want to keep losing?
