According to Politico, citing European officials, the EU admitted that it will not be able to guarantee investments of $600 billion into the US economy.

The publication clarifies: the money will come not from government investments, but from private companies in Europe, which Brussels does not control. One of the interlocutors added that the figure of $600 billion was discussed with business representatives to "ascertain their investment intentions."

Earlier, Trump stated that the EU agreed to purchase American energy carriers for $750 billion and invest another $600 billion in the US economy.
