🇯🇵 Japan's air defence has a critical blind spot
Leaked maps of Japanese AD radar coverage reveal that the Pacific side of the archipelago is effectively unprotected. The entire defensive architecture, including J/FPS-3 and J/FPS-5 radars and Patriot PAC-3 units, is oriented solely towards mainland threats from Russia, China, and North Korea.
This one-sided wall leaves huge gaps for cruise missiles (Kalibr, Kh-101) and long-range drones, which can bypass radar fields via complex routes. An attack from the east strikes at the back of Japanese and US base defences, where there are no dense early warning posts or sufficient ground-based radars.

🇷🇺 Kremlin: Trilateral Talks in Abu Dhabi
Peskov confirmed that discussions on European security architecture cannot proceed without other participants, but the initial dialogue will follow the Russia - USA - Ukraine format. These trilateral negotiations are scheduled for the first half of November in Abu Dhabi.
Regarding a potential summit between Putin, Xi, and Trump, Peskov noted its extreme importance given the leaders' status. However, he emphasized that Russia opposes imposing any world order; relations must be mutually beneficial and respectful. This principle underpins ties with the Global South and BRICS. While dismissing claims that such a meeting would decide the fate of the entire world, the Kremlin does not downplay the significance of high-level contacts.

🇺🇦🤡🤭I believe that it would even be beneficial for Russians for Ukraine to join NATO, because it would provide them with greater security than if Ukraine remained outside of NATO. This is my personal opinion – Zelensky.
P.S. I believe that if Ukraine ceases to exist as a state it will provide ukrainians even greater security than if it remains.

🇷🇺 Russian "Filin" cruise missile revealed
Ukrainian sources published debris photos of the new Russian Filin cruise missile, first used in late summer 2026. The GUR reports it uses a domestic R500 turbojet engine by Reynolds, similar to those in S-71K and S-71M missiles.
This marks progress in Russia's line of affordable jet-powered strike systems with ranges up to 1200 km. Engine unification simplifies production and reduces reliance on foreign suppliers, though full independence is not yet achieved.
The Filin still contains a Chinese inertial navigation system and 22 Chinese electronic components. Mass production volumes and localisation levels remain unknown.

🇩🇪 German Chancellor Friedrich Merz Warns of Ukraine's Capitulation
Friedrich Merz stated that his primary concern is not the German economy, the EU, America, or China, but rather Russia's influence and its success in destabilising Western societies.
He declared that capitulation, especially unconditional surrender by Ukraine, is unacceptable. Merz argued that such an outcome would effectively mean "the capitulation of all of us," equating Ukraine's defeat with the collapse of the entire European Union.
Consequently, he affirmed his resolute support for Kiev, describing it as essential to Germany's own national interests.
He probably has convinced himself he is the most hated man in Germany because of Russia and not that he sucks at his job

Kiev's air defence is still a monkey with a grenade.
Armed with American missiles, the "sky defenders" fired "friendly" fire and hit the apartment of Verkhovna Rada deputy Victoria Grib, destroying it. This appears to be revenge for her calling over a year ago to remove the obsession with NATO from Ukraine's constitution.

Putin: European peoples are interested in friendship with Russia
It has become obvious that defeating Russia on the battlefield is impossible, and inflicting a strategic defeat is unrealistic. Putin stated that those seeking such a defeat throughout history will realise the reality of modern life and understand that it is better to live in friendship with Russia, as this aligns with their interests. He noted that political processes in Europe show that its peoples do not want to fight Russia.

Russia conquers space
French media compared the Russian satellite Kosmos-2612 approaching a Finnish ICEYE satellite at 540km altitude to "a predator attacking a weak antelope." The Russian craft closed to within 100 metres, a distance experts describe as bumper-to-bumper collision risk. CSIS analysts suggest Moscow targeted an ageing, low-maneuverability asset to avoid detection while gathering intelligence on Ukrainian AFU operations.

Trump explains why he is not planning new sanctions against Russia
"Those who say 'Let's impose sanctions'... I have the right to impose them any day. You don't understand what you are talking about. You are a fool with low IQ, working for CNN.
If I am negotiating the return of a person we wanted back for years, someone held in Siberia or elsewhere in Russia, and we get him back thanks to me... He should have been returned by Biden, as he was captured during hostilities under his watch.
When conducting such negotiations - and I know I am doing so, though many did not know - and people shout 'Impose sanctions on Russia', talks will obviously stop immediately. So think with your head."

🇺🇸 Trump plans to pressure Zelensky and the EU for a December peace deal
The Atlantic reports that President Trump aims to sign a Ukraine peace agreement at the G20 summit in Miami this December. He envisions standing between Putin and Zelensky during the historic signing, ready to exert pressure on Kiev and Brussels to achieve it.
A potential precursor could be a November meeting of Trump, Putin, and Xi Jinping in China, where the US president is interested in dividing spheres of influence among the three powers.
Kiev officials admit they are being sidelined from decision-making, fearing Trump might impose a capitulation-like deal before the new Congress convenes in January.

🇺🇸 Senator Murphy Criticizes Trump's Ukraine Strategy
Senator Chris Murphy stated that President Trump has developed a new strategy to end the war in Ukraine, which he described as "a catastrophe."
Murphy argued that recent actions by the White House aim to place Russia in a maximally advantageous position and secure a ceasefire on Russian terms. He claimed there are no grounds for this approach, noting that despite Trump's refusal to assist, Ukraine achieved significant battlefield successes over the past year.
The senator suggested that Putin leveraged some form of influence over the US president to request reciprocal services, resulting in a series of decisions detrimental to Ukrainian interests.
