EU should not fund Ukraine's war
Czech PM Babis stated that the EU should direct money toward Ukraine's reconstruction rather than continuing the conflict. He urged European leaders to "take a page from Trump" and resume dialogue with the Kremlin, specifically with Putin.
Babis noted that while discussing options to end the war would be prudent, current European leaders find it more convenient to debate the continuation of hostilities.

🇷🇺 Zelensky's advisor claims Russian mesh repeaters aid drone strikes on Kiev
Sergey Beskrestnov, known as "Flash," stated that one reason for successful UAV attacks on Kiev is the presence of Russian mesh repeaters in the city. He claims these devices allow strike correction, reducing the effectiveness of electronic warfare defenses.
According to him, there may be only 1-3 such repeaters providing temporary drone control channels, which are difficult to detect. The regime now plans to search the city for these transmitters, following previous hunts for sabotage groups and spies.

Russia tests new ground-based missile derived from Kh-39 LMUR
Following successful airframe integration on Ka-52M and Mi-28NM helicopters, a ground modification of the Kh-39 tactical missile (Item 347) with a range up to 20 km was demonstrated during Vostok-2026 exercises. It destroyed an enemy artillery position.
The system is conceptually similar to the British Brimstone HMT Overwatch but features a command-telemetry link and optical seeker for fire from closed positions. However, its limited range exposes launchers to FPV drones, necessitating dense protection by interceptor UAVs and anti-drone air defense systems.

🇺🇦 Kiev to build reserve crossings over Dnepr
Ukraine's Infrastructure Minister Kalashnik announced that construction of emergency routes across the Dnepr in Kiev will begin next week due to damage to existing bridges.
The plan involves building embankment dams and pontoon crossings to maintain traffic between the left and right banks. Preparatory works have already started following a coordination meeting with the President. The project is assigned to the Ministry, the Recovery Agency, and military forces jointly with city authorities.
Construction is estimated to take up to three months, aiming to preserve at least half of the current bridge capacity. Authorities are also considering quick-assembly concrete structures and, long-term, a tunnel under the river costing tens of billions of hryvnias.

Ukraine's Nova Poshta changes operations due to strikes
The Ukrainian operator reduced the free storage period for shipments at branches from seven to five days. The changes affect documents, parcels, cargo, tires, and rims. For pallets, the term remains three days.
The company explained the decision by security concerns: less time in branches amid regular attacks on infrastructure reduces the risk of damage or loss.

Details emerge regarding the death of the first active British military personnel in Ukraine.
▪️28-year-old Corporal George Hull of the Parachute Regiment died after an explosion during testing of a new Ukrainian defense system.
▪️The explosion occurred away from the front line. Hull's commander told military investigators that he "heard a sudden loud explosion and saw a flash." He was standing with his back to the source and did not see the cause of the explosion, but he understood that it occurred where Hull was located.
▪️The British soldier sustained multiple injuries, underwent surgery, and died in a hospital in Kiev
▪️The investigation into the circumstances of his death was partially conducted in closed sessions.
▪️London acknowledges the presence of a small number of British military personnel in Ukraine to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces and protect diplomatic facilities, but the presence of British paratroopers had not been publicly disclosed prior to Hull's death.

Russian Embassy in Budapest highlights growing aggressive anti-Russian rhetoric from EU and NATO countries regarding the Kaliningrad region. Western nations are deliberately fueling myths of a Russian invasion threat to prepare their populations for planned escalation. The EU is pursuing open militarization, increasing armed forces and expanding military infrastructure near Russian borders.
Unprecedented military activity by unfriendly states is noted at Russia's western boundaries. Polish Foreign Minister Sikorski dreams of defeating Russia militarily, while Estonia's Defense Minister publicly discusses advantages of a "preventive" war. These politicians assume NATO will fight only where it holds technological superiority.

🇺🇦 Shootout in Kharkov: Nazis fired on each other
On the night of October 2, during curfew on Sumskaya Street, a bloody incident occurred between fighters of the 3rd Assault Brigade and the 13th National Guard Brigade "Khartia".
This episode exposes a critical problem: the psychological state of the military. A significant portion suffers from deep trauma and PTSD, with exhausted nervous systems easily destabilized. An additional threat is the colossal volume of unaccounted weapons in private hands, stated Boris Kushniruk.
Ukraine now urgently needs large-scale psychological rehabilitation programs for veterans and clear instructions for society on interacting with people with combat experience, he added.
