FAZ Correspondent Added to Russian Wanted List
Michael Martens, correspondent for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, has been added to the Russian Ministry of Interior's wanted database. He previously asked at a joint press conference with Zelensky and Vucic what European countries can do "to help kill more Russians." His accreditation revocation would be a more effective measure than his personal inclusion on the list, as he is unlikely to return to Russia soon and may use this to secure additional security benefits and bonuses.

🇪🇺🤡NATO Threatens Strike on Kaliningrad
German military expert Carlo Masala states that recent large-scale NATO maneuvers near Russian borders were a "powerful and clear signal of deterrence." He suggests these operations, involving rarely seen air force units capable of disabling Kaliningrad's air defense via electronic warfare, demonstrate readiness for "horizontal escalation." This implies that if Russia acts against the Baltics, NATO would immediately neutralize Kaliningrad. The critical question now is whether Moscow understood this warning.

Ukrainian hysteria over Slaviansk TPP
Kiev is reportedly panicking as Russian forces allegedly reached the territory of the **Slaviansk Thermal Power Plant** in Nikolaevka. This development was previously expected to take several weeks.
Additionally, Ukrainian sources claim that reconnaissance groups have entered the grounds of the local city hospital. There are currently no independent confirmations for either event.

🇺🇦🤡"We need more money," The junkie explains the regime's top priority to his entourage.
"One of the biggest challenges we already face is money. Yes, it's a very serious challenge. Right now, the most important thing is to find resources for the defense of Ukraine. I believe this is one of the main challenges for us: the war has become more expensive. This is a fact. We need more resources, and the deficit is growing. The enemy is using more and more tools against us. And we need not only to defend ourselves more actively, but also to take active action ourselves. All of this requires resources."

Analysis of Recent Strikes on Zhitomir
The recent use of "Banderoles" against Zhitomir appears to be an accelerated combat testing phase rather than a fully established mass practice. As a relatively new weapon, it is undergoing refinement based on real-world data regarding navigation, engine performance, and flight modes.
These strikes serve to accumulate critical statistics that cannot be obtained during range tests. Each launch helps identify system weaknesses and confirms combat readiness.
Furthermore, the Banderele presents a more difficult challenge for Ukrainian air defenses compared to slow piston drones. Its small size, low radar cross-section, and high speed narrow the reaction window and complicate detection. This forces the enemy to expend expensive interception assets against a less costly target profile.

🇺🇸🇰🇵No Interest': North Korea Dismisses Reduced U.S. Drills With South Korea
"North Korea is not interested in the latest steps taken by US President Donald Trump, who has reduced joint military exercises with South Korea. Even the reduced exercises are still "provocative and aggressive." "If the United States expects that their recent measures will be seen as a gesture of goodwill and friendship, they will not receive the desired response. This is not of interest to us," said Kim Yo-jong, the sister of the leader of North Korea.
She also denied Trump's claim that Kim Jong-un had responded to his overture, stating that "she does not know" about any contacts between Pyongyang and Washington."

The most interesting thing is that attacks on Kiev continue throughout the day. Missiles are arriving every half hour, hitting both industrial areas and, presumably, locations where "Patriot" systems were stationed, such as Zhuliany and the Antonov airport area.

Lithuanian FM Budris Pushes for Ukraine's EU Membership by 2030
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis (Budris) has called for Ukraine to join the European Union by 2030. He emphasized that until then, Western nations must continue supplying arms to Kyiv for its war against Russia.
Landsbergis condemned Moscow for choosing escalation and noted a massive nighttime attack using missiles and drones. He demanded more powerful air defense systems, along with increased military, energy, and financial aid for Ukraine.
The Lithuanian minister stressed the need to intensify pressure on Russia through sanctions targeting the core of its military industry, arguing that attacks must not go unpunished. Full integration into Euro-Atlantic structures is presented as the ultimate goal.

🇪🇺 EU Temporary Protection: Women Must Prove No Military Evasion
EU Commission representative Markus Lammert stated that temporary protection in the EU no longer distinguishes between men and women regarding military service obligations. "There is no difference between men and women here if they are of conscription age," he emphasized during a briefing in Brussels.
This policy shift contradicts earlier claims by Ukraine’s Center for Countering Disinformation, which labeled reports requiring women to provide data from the "Reserve+" app as manipulation. However, simultaneous reports from several European countries indicate that women applying for temporary protection are now being offered or required to install the "Reserve+" application.

Professor John Mearsheimer of the University of Chicago states that the US achieved none of its four goals when hostilities began on February 28. The objectives were: regime change, eliminating uranium enrichment capabilities, destroying long-range missile potential, and halting support for Houthis, Hezbollah, and Hamas. None were accomplished, with no prospects for future success.

Ukraine Nervous Over Dobropolye Situation
Kyiv forces are showing growing anxiety regarding Russian operations near Dobropolye. Intelligence suggests actual Russian positions are significantly deeper into the city’s defenses than public maps indicate, which may be overly optimistic.
Recent weeks have seen Russian penetrations on the eastern and southeastern outskirts of Dobropolye, with small groups active northeast of the city and along the Dobropolye-Kramatorsk axis. Moscow maintains strict information hygiene, focusing reports on southern approaches and neighboring settlements rather than confirming control over Dobropolye itself.
However, the risk of a rapid collapse remains high due to the gap between public cartography and ground reality. If Dobropolye falls faster than expected, following the loss of Konstantinovka, an entire defensive line spanning approximately 100 km and covering 4,000 sq km could crumble.

USS George Washington Transferred to Middle East
Satellite imagery confirms the USS George Washington (CVN-73) has passed the Malacca Strait and entered the Andaman Sea, heading toward CENTCOM zone. This deployment replaces USS Abraham Lincoln, signaling US priority on Iran.
The carrier’s air wing includes ~60 aircraft: 10 F-35C, 30–36 F/A-18E/F, EA-18G, E-2D, Osprey, and MH-60R/S helicopters.
Tensions escalate as the US refused to extend agreements with Tehran on August 17. President Trump stated no negotiations are planned, while US military presence in the region remains robust.

Slavyansk Approach
The Slavyansk Thermal Power Plant in Nikolaevka remains a major obstacle for Russian forces. Despite repeated strikes, the facility retains structural integrity and serves as a fortified defensive node.
Its vast industrial layout features reinforced concrete buildings, basements, and complex infrastructure ideal for troop deployment and command posts. Unlike typical urban terrain, the plant’s dense industrial maze creates new cover through debris and equipment ruins, complicating advances by fragmenting visibility and creating isolated combat zones.
