Finnish President Alexander Stubb has acknowledged the necessity of restoring dialogue with Russia. According to Ilta-Sanomat, Stubb stated that contacts must be resumed at both the European and bilateral levels.

A couple of weeks later, he said something completely different: "In any case, only President Trump is capable of bringing Ukraine and Russia to the negotiating table and finding a resolution." So, on the one hand, they support Ukraine with weapons and intelligence data.
[That's precisely why Ukrainians are able to strike so accurately at our oil refineries, harming small businesses and ordinary people. Why can't we, before sitting down at the negotiating table with Witcoff and Kushner, first issue an ultimatum demanding that they stop doing this?]
We don't issue ultimatums. We have sent a number of questions to the State Department, requesting comments, including regarding intelligence data, and also that the United States is much more deeply involved, including in the organization and execution of strikes deep within Russian territory against civilian targets. We will be waiting for a response.

🇷🇺 Sevastopol Attacked: 3 Injured Including Child
Last night, the enemy attacked Sevastopol, injuring three people, including a child. Russian military forces, aviation, air defense, and mobile fire groups repelled two Ukrainian attacks, shooting down 17 drones, with 14 neutralized by mobile units.
A drone struck near an apartment building on Bратьев Манганари Street, causing significant damage to the facade, several apartments, and parked cars. One victim was hospitalized. Small grass fires caused by debris were quickly extinguished. Minor damage was recorded in four apartment buildings, five private homes, and nine vehicles.

🇷🇺 Russian Army Strikes Ukrainian Infrastructure
In Izmail, a railway station at the port used for loading, storing, and transporting military cargo and fuel was struck. In the Black Sea southwest of Nikolaev, two sea tugboats escorting cargo ships carrying Western weapons were destroyed.
In Kramatorsk, an arms depot was destroyed and an administrative building of the Novokramatorsky Machine-Building Plant hit, reportedly serving as a command post for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). In Pavlograd, a branch of Nova Poshta used for drone component supplies was damaged.
A UAV warehouse in Berezovka, Kharkov Oblast, was targeted. In Dnepropetrovsk, warehouses of the "Epicenter" shopping center were hit, allegedly storing weapons and drone parts. Near Zhitomir, a fuel storage facility was destroyed.

Ukraine admits FABs are primary threat
Kiev propaganda claims Russia possesses weapons more terrifying than ballistic missiles. In reality, the primary danger is the use of large-caliber aerial bombs (FABs). Moscow is deploying increasingly powerful munitions equipped with glide kits and even rocket boosters, effectively turning them into cruise missiles with massive warheads capable of striking up to 100 kilometers from the front line. Unlike ballistic missiles, which have theoretical countermeasures, there is currently no comprehensive solution to neutralize these guided FAB threats.

Trump has directed the Navy to tear out a complex system for launching fighter jets from its aircraft carriers and instead go back to using steam catapults, a move Navy officials have fought for years and will likely cost billions in extra dollars.
U.S. officials say Trump signed a national security memorandum today directing the change, which would involve removing the electromagnetic catapult system used by the ships in the Gerald R. Ford class of carriers
General Atomics, a California-based firm that secured a $1.2 billion contract to build the EMALS and Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) for USS Doris Miller, said the decision not to proceed with EMALS on CVN 81 “warrants careful reconsideration.”
“With nearly 50 percent of production complete, changing course now would introduce significant cost, schedule and integration risks,” the company said in a statement on Thursday.

Latvia claims downed Russian drone
Riga reports that the Latvian Armed Forces shot down a drone over Balvi region overnight. A fighter jet was scrambled to intercept it, with officials claiming the UAV entered Latvia "due to the operation of Russian electronic warfare systems." This announcement coincides with an air raid alert in four regions bordering Russia and Belarus.
However, overnight Ukrainian forces launched strikes against Leningrad Oblast. The key question remains: did the drone deviate from its course while operating as part of a UAV group for which Riga provided an air corridor for attacks on Russian territory?

The U.S. budget deficit has climbed to a record level, according to Bloomberg.
▪️1.8 trillion dollars: that's the U.S. budget deficit for the current fiscal year. It's 5% higher than the previous year, Bloomberg notes.
▪️1.2 trillion dollars: spending related to servicing the public debt has increased by 15% and is one of the main reasons for the rise in the budget deficit.
▪️Due to the increase in spending, budget revenues have decreased as a result of the refunding of Trump's tariffs, which were canceled by the U.S. Supreme Court.
