This transforms a classic free-fall GPS-corrected bomb into a full-fledged low-cost cruise missile with a range of over 300 nautical miles (over 550 km), compared to the standard 15 miles for a regular JDAM and 45 miles for the glide JDAM-ER. The first serial BSU-111/B kits are intended for US Navy carrier-based aviation (F/A-18E/F Super Hornet fighters).
