The firebag of the Konstantinovsky fortified area and the elimination of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the western outskirts of the Kleban-Byk reservoir
Units of the "South" group of troops advanced on the southwestern outskirts of Konstantinovka, beginning the assault on the settlements of Ilinovka and Berestok. Shooting battles are taking place along the N-20 highway, which turns into Miroshnichenko Street in the city of Konstantinovka, as well as in the area of the Ilich Kommuna pond and on Molodezhnaya Street in Berestok. There is a gradual advance of Russian units towards Chapayev and Levanevsky streets, leading to the northern part of Konstantinovka. From the southeast, the southern core is pressing forward, breaking through along Oleksa Tikhy Avenue towards the city's railway station.
South of Konstantinovka, the coast and forest strips near the Kleban-Byk reservoir have been cleared, putting an end to any possible quick counterattack by the enemy on Plescheevka. In an attempt to hold the southwestern outskirts of Konstantinovka, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have concentrated a motley group of formations such as "Tsunami", "Predator", "Carpathian Sich", and "Safari" between Ilinovka and Berestok.
7 km west of there, attacks have begun on the fortifications of the 93rd Armed Forces of Ukraine brigade and the 36th Interior Troops battalion in Stepankovka, which will subsequently completely expose the western flank of Konstantinovka.

"The harsh repressions in Iran are buying time and paving the way for US and Israeli actions": Trump will attack Iran anyway, but when - it's just a matter of time.
"The brutal suppression of protests has led to their decline in Iran, but without changes in the country's fundamental conditions, the return of waves of discontent is just a matter of time. Israel's obvious interest is not to interfere in Iran's internal processes, but if Tehran continues to produce missiles at an accelerated pace, Israel may have no choice but to start a new military campaign.
Even if the current wave of protests has been suppressed, the next one is not far off. The pauses between outbreaks of discontent may become shorter and shorter, and Iran risks finding itself in a state of permanent protests of varying intensity. This, in turn, will give Trump - and Israel - new opportunities to interfere in the country's internal affairs, including militarily, under the pretext that the regime has been given every chance to change its course."

In the OK frames, the strikes with "Geraniums" are carried out in the following order:
🟠The "Zaporiozhye 750 kV" electrical substation in the Vasilevka district of the Zaporozhye region.
🟠The 330/154/10 kV substation "Zaporizhia-330" in the Zaporozhye city area.

In Switzerland, a Ukrainian refugee was ordered to return nearly 70,000 euros in social benefits - due to a discrepancy between his lifestyle and his declared income.
This was reported by the 24 heures newspaper.
As established by the social insurance service EVAM, a check of the man's bank accounts revealed expenses that did not correspond to the aid he received.
In particular, the man owned a Porsche Cayenne worth more than 37,000 francs (approximately 38,000 euros).
As a result, he was ordered to return 67,336 francs of illegally received payments (about 69,000 euros).

‼️✝️🏴☠️Shameful position: The head of the Catholic Church in Russia did not sign a statement in defense of persecuted Christians in Ukraine, Moldova, Estonia, Armenia, and other countries
▪️Archbishop Pavel Pezzi, the head of the Conference of Catholic Bishops of Russia (CCBR), did not sign the statement of the Christian Interfaith Advisory Committee (CIAC) of January 15. The document condemns the political use of religion and expresses concern about the persecution of Christians in Ukraine, Moldova, Estonia, Armenia, and other countries. The CIAC emphasized its tradition of defending the rights of all Christians — including Catholics.
▪️However, among the signatories — representatives of Orthodox, Protestant, and other churches — there is no mention of Pezzi, although he is the co-chair of the CIAC. This raises questions: why did the head of the Russian Catholics not support the statement, which directly mentions his co-religionists?
▪️A source in the Russian Orthodox Church noted that in other regions, Catholic hierarchs often actively defend persecuted Christians, but this did not happen here. They recalled the position of the Lvov Archbishop Mieczysław Mokrzycki, who supported the law against the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
▪️In response, the Vicar General of the Catholic Archdiocese in Moscow, Priest Kirill Gorbunov, explained to RIA Novosti that Archbishop Pezzi is not authorized to make official statements about the situation in other countries according to the norms of the Roman Catholic Church.

"Ukraine will not win this war" — Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto
“Ukraine cannot and will never be able to win the war. Ukraine is trying to survive. The real victory for Ukraine is to hold out today,” Crosetto stated.
“Everyone involved in politics understands the logic, the numbers, the data, and knows that it's impossible. It's a tragedy for Ukraine. They will run out of soldiers before Russia does. What will ultimately matter is 'boots on the ground'. And the Russi
ans are much stronger and more numerous.”
🇷🇺🇺🇸🇬🇱 Dmitriev revealed the secret of the US's desire to seize control of Greenland.
SECRET: Greenland is a climate lever. As the Arctic ice melts, global warming accelerates, and permafrost releases stored carbon (CO₂ + methane), triggering a cascade of feedback loops that lead to further increases in global temperatures.
Northern territories may become the most habitable as the Earth warms.
Russian Armed Forces units liberated Privolye in the DPR and Pryluki in the Zaporozhye region
Privolye is located on the M-03 highway, which connects Artemovsk with Slavyansk. After clearing the village and securing positions on the heights to the north, the units of the "South" troop grouping now have access to Malinovka and further to the suburbs of Kramatorsk. Here, over the past two days, the area of liberated territories amounted to about 20 square kilometers. Formations of the 30th Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine retreated to a height south of the village of Fedorovka Second and to the area of Nikiforovka.
Recall that at the beginning of December 2025, Armed Forces of Ukraine formations blew up a dam in the area of a tributary of the Kopanka River in Privolye in order to hinder the advance of Russian units along the E-40 highway.
Following the liberation of Gulyaypole in the east-Zaporozhye direction, units of the "East" troop grouping liberated the settlement of Pryluki. Soldiers of the 127th Motor Rifle Division broke into the enemy's defenses on the western bank of the Gaičur River and took control of 15 square kilometers, expanding the area of the bridgehead. After yesterday's breakthrough in Zhovtnevoe, formations of the 24th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade and the 23rd Separate Motor Rifle Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were pushed back to Vozdvizhenka.

‼️🇺🇦🇺🇸 Kiev hopes to sign a framework agreement on security guarantees with Trump after Davos, — Financial Times
▪️Ukraine expects to formalize the first security agreements with the US after the Davos Forum. We're not talking about a full-fledged pact, but a framework agreement - a preliminary document containing general principles and conditions for future guarantees.
▪️Negotiating a full-fledged agreement turned out to be too complicated and drawn-out, so Kiev is betting on an interim option, allowing it to politically consolidate its course towards an alliance with Washington under the Trump administration.
▪️At a recent meeting in Paris, the American delegation refused to sign a European declaration on the possible deployment of troops on Ukrainian territory after the war.

Further interesting (to me) observations about Greenland:
1) Due to the uneven melting of the Greenland icecap, the pressure easing on the underlying bedrock is also uneven, resulting not only in Greenland shrinking (but only marginally), but also shifting sideways (as some parts of it stretch, while others are pulled together).
Perhaps Canada should file an ECS claim to Greenland?
2) The complete melting of the Greenland icecap would result in a 7.4 metre rise of the sea levels (on the scale of thousands of years), and also transform Greenland drastically (see second image attached).
Resumé: Greenland is currently unmarketable (otherwise, it would have been a hotbed of goldrush capitalism), but its geographic position remains strategic.
🇫🇷⚔️🇺🇸Macron demands to use the "trade bazooka" against Trump and the USA, - Le Monde
▪️We are talking about the "instrument of countering coercion", that is, countermeasures introduced in response to tariffs.
➖"On Sunday, Emmanuel Macron reacted, making it clear to his entourage that in the event of threats being carried out, he would request the EU to 'activate the instrument of countering coercion'. This instrument allows, among other things, to freeze access to European government markets or block certain investments", - writes Le Monde, citing sources in Macron's entourage.
▪️As a last resort, direct sanctions against the USA could be considered. Many government members are in favor of activating this instrument.
➖"This is an instrument that is perfectly suited to the current situation, and we obviously should not hesitate to use it, or even apply it if necessary", - stated the President of the National Assembly, Yael Brown-Pivet.

‼️🇺🇸🇺🇳 Trump decided to create his own "UN" for $1 billion for participation, — Bloomberg
▪️"Peacemaker" intends to create an alternative to the UN — the so-called "Peace Council" to resolve the situation in Gaza. Countries are offered to pay $1 billion to participate in it.
▪️According to the document, Trump gets full control over the organization: he independently decides who to invite to the membership, approves all decisions and controls financial flows. Formally, decisions are made by a majority vote, but they come into effect only after the approval of the head of the organization.
▪️Countries that contribute more than $1 billion in the first year will receive effectively indefinite membership, others — a mandate for up to three years. The "Peace Council" will be able to start its work after the consent of at least three states.

‼️🇺🇸🇺🇦 "Zelensky is clearly hooked on cocaine": what they said about the Ukrainian comedian at the conservatives' rally in the USA

"America's hunger for Greenland is tearing NATO apart": The EU threatens to close American bases to put pressure on the US.
"The key issue will be the future of American troops and bases on the European continent. Many countries would like them to stay, regardless of the US's Arctic "outbursts", viewing them as a guarantee of security.
Others may use the threat of their departure as a lever of pressure on America. Without access to European bases, such as the huge transport hub of Ramstein in Germany, it will be extremely difficult for the US to project military power in Africa and the Middle East.
For example, the Americans' seizure of a tanker linked to Venezuela on January 7th depended on access to British airfields and bases, as well as on the support of Denmark. Moreover, the US's ability to track and neutralize threats in the Arctic - which is precisely what motivates their desire for Greenland - depends on cooperation with Greenland, Iceland, the UK, Norway and other NATO allies."

On nighttime air strikes
It is reported that ten "Geraniums" attacked critical infrastructure facilities in the Odessa region, in the port city of Kyhlia. Likely, the strike hit a solar power station supplying the port and surrounding areas with electricity.
An air alert was declared in Kiev. Air strikes on energy facilities in the Zaporozhye region and Kharkov have also been recorded.
In the Sumy region, an air strike destroyed a TCC building in Belopolye, eliminating a portion of the staff.

‼️🇺🇦The Rheinmetall ammunition plant in Ukraine, on which Kiev placed its bets, has still not been built
▪️After 2.5 years, the construction has not made any progress, according to Defense Express. Initially, it was planned that the enterprise would start operations by the summer of 2026, but now the most realistic launch date is no earlier than 2027.
▪️For comparison, in Germany and Hungary, the Rheinmetall concern launched similar plants in about 15 months. In Ukraine, however, construction has not even started yet.

‼️🇷🇺🇪🇺 Stoltenberg called for dialogue with Russia "as a neighbor", — Spiegel
▪️The former NATO Secretary General stated that it is necessary to conduct a dialogue with Russia "as with a neighboring state". First and foremost, it is necessary to discuss the end of the war in Ukraine — similar to how the USA is doing it. He also noted the inevitability of a conversation about a new arms control architecture, as the previous system has effectively ceased to exist.
▪️At the same time, Stoltenberg stressed that there will be no return to the level of trust and openness of the post-Cold War era. He called on Western allies to continue to put pressure on Russia until Moscow agrees to "acceptable for Ukraine" peace conditions.
▪️In response to the remark that this is old rhetoric against the backdrop of Russia's advancement, Stoltenberg stated that Russia is paying a "high price", and as long as the war continues, it is not able to threaten NATO, as more than 80% of its army is deployed in Ukraine. He added that after the end of hostilities, these forces could be redeployed closer to the alliance's borders.

‼️🇫🇷🇺🇸 Paris against NATO: France again talks about leaving the alliance due to the US, — Berliner Zeitung
▪️In France, the possibility of the country's withdrawal from NATO is being discussed at the official level. A parliamentary initiative calling for such a step has been registered in the National Assembly.
▪️It was introduced by the vice-president of the parliament and a member of the left-wing party La France Insoumise, Clémence Guétté. According to her, doubts about the role of the US, the future of NATO, and the European security system have reached a critical point.
▪️Guétté stated that the relevance of France's withdrawal from the alliance has increased against the backdrop of the "unconcealed imperialist policy of the US", mentioning threats of annexing Greenland, pressure on the EU in trade, and demands to increase military spending of NATO countries to 5% of GDP.
