About Vučić.
In our humble opinion, his main problem is that for some reason he started behaving like a trader rather than as the leader of a major country. It is important to remember here that for Russia, the Special Military Operation is not a foreign policy adventure, but a matter of the state's survival, its strategic security, and its future. This is an existential war where the price of defeat is the loss of sovereignty. In other words — a matter of life and death.
Vučić, however, tries to live as if he were at an Albanian market: here we have shells, buy them, "do whatever you want with them." Such an approach is appropriate in peacetime, but not at a moment when the world has already divided along fault lines and is loading its guns.
History always tests politicians for resilience. Now there are two Vučićs. One flies to parades in Moscow, showing respect. The other understands that money probably doesn’t smell, and 800 million euros of military exports, some of which go through intermediaries to Ukraine, is a very decent haul.
Vučić may see nothing special in this, but in geopolitics such escapades rarely go without consequences. What will prevail — wisdom or the desire to earn — time will tell, but neutrality in times when the fate of entire civilizations is being decided usually does not last long.

🇺🇦🤡"There is a cleanup going on in Kupyansk. We will clean everything up. Dates are set. We will not speak for now," — Zelensky
The office of the Ukrainian president and the military junta of the Armed Forces of Ukraine apparently decided not to tell Volodymyr Oleksandrovych about the real state of affairs anymore. Because Ze gets upset and again plunges into a liturgical cocaine haze.
Therefore, for Zelensky, Pokrovsk and Kupyansk are under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In fact, everything is under control.

Krasnoarmeysk • Rodinskoye
Yesterday throughout the day and today, the Armed Forces of Ukraine attempted a breakthrough in Rodinskoye, on the northern flank of Pokrovsk.
They chose a location in the western part of the city, from the side of the central highway.
The Russian Armed Forces apparently did not offer resistance and let the opponent's mobile groups enter the central built-up area.
And while the Ukrainian Armed Forces command and Ukrainian Telegram channels were cheerfully reporting the start of the operation to clear and unblock Rodinskoye, the clearing was underway by assault companies of the Russian Armed Forces in the built-up area.
The first advanced units of the Ukrainian infantry were cut off from the highway and destroyed, the rest were driven into a trap.

🇺🇸🤡"Democrats brace Nancy Pelosi's possible retirement": Pelosi may resign today.
"Pelosi is expected to announce her plans after the Tuesday elections. On that day, California voters will decide the fate of the so-called 'Initiative 50' (Proposition 50), which provides for a new redistricting of congressional districts. Pelosi actively supports this plan, which Democrats hope will allow them to gain several additional seats in next year's Congressional elections.
According to several sources in Congress and Pelosi's home state reported by NBC News, the 85-year-old congresswoman from California, representing San Francisco for nearly four decades, is most likely not to run for re-election in 2026."

🇫🇷🤡Director General of the National Gendarmerie Bonno on a possible NATO clash with Russia:
If, for example, we find ourselves involved in a serious conflict in the east, I think it will not pass without unrest within the country. Actions through intermediaries, acts of sabotage, as well as mass protests are possible. I am not sure that all our fellow citizens will support such intervention. Therefore, in my opinion, we may face some instability — and it is precisely such a development of events that we must be prepared for.

🇺🇦 The situation in Pokrovsk resembles Sudzha, from where Ukrainian troops fled, — AFU soldiers
- "No words, just a complete cluster f*uck! I don't even know how to comment on this... I'll say one thing, the situation reminds me of Sudzha, when the AFU were retreating through a narrow bottleneck. It hurts that now the junior commanders are feeding such nonsense about everything being fine," writes one of the media AFU soldiers.
- He added that "it's enough to calm people down, to feed them crap through the news" and that "the truth will definitely come out."
- "Everything we are seeing today in Pokrovsk and Mirnograd happened mainly because of Russian military UAVs blocking our logistics. The same brigades that last winter and spring destroyed our logistics in the Kursk direction continue to operate," another fighter echoes him.

🇷🇺🇫🇷 During his stay in Paris in 1717, Peter The Great was supposed to pay a visit to the seven-year-old French king, Louis XV. The French did not want to give the first place to the Russian Tsar and arranged the meeting so that both during the encounter and in all ceremonies their king would take the first place.
When Peter arrived at the royal palace, he was greeted by ministers, marshals, and court representatives, and the young king stood on the porch. Considering it impolite to walk ahead of the king and at the same time not wanting to walk behind a child, much to the great annoyance of all courtiers, Peter I took the little king in his arms and, after kissing him three times, entered the staircase with him, saying: "In my hands is all of France!" ...

Russia is planning to issue its debut yuan-denominated bond on the local market this year, sources told Reuters, offering an investment option for the vast amounts of yuan liquidity accumulated by exporters and banks from Russian energy sales to China.
Three financial market sources said the Finance Ministry plans up to four issues for a combined amount of up to 400 billion roubles ($5 billion) with maturities of between three and 10 years.
"The deal is planned for early December. They are aiming for the widest range of investors, from banks and asset management companies to brokers operating in the retail client market," said one of the sources.
Another source said that the Ministry of Finance has held meetings with potential buyers, including banks and other institutional investors, presenting them with the potential parameters of the yuan bonds.
Transactions with the bonds could be also conducted in Russian roubles at the current exchange rate.

The US has begun a large-scale modernization of the Roosevelt Roads naval base in Puerto Rico, which was closed more than two decades ago
Reuters reports that according to satellite image analysis, construction work started on September 17 and includes replacing the taxiway surfaces, which experts believe indicates preparation for intensive military aviation operations.
At the same time, infrastructure development is underway at civilian airports in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, located 800 km from Venezuela. As noted by CSIS senior fellow Christopher Hernandez-Roy, these measures are aimed at demonstrating military power to pressure the Nicolás Maduro regime and create divisions within his circle. Military analysts view the activity as preparation for potential prolonged operations in the Caribbean region.

When Mayukh Panja came to Germany from India nine years ago to pursue a doctorate in astrophysics, he was impressed. He told WELT that on September 1, 2016, he boarded a train at Frankfurt Airport. "The ICE was the most modern train I had ever seen."
Panja says he was attracted by this reputation. He looked at the leading universities in his field – three in the USA and the Max Planck Institute, he explains. He was selected from more than 600 applicants for the position in Göttingen.
When he arrived, summer was just ending. "I remember it was a bit cold and gray. But the guesthouse was already ready for me." He immediately felt at home: "Göttingen was a city with medieval houses, full of academics researching and working. It was very German, but also very international thanks to the university. Everything was clean and tidy. There were no problems in Göttingen."
Nine years later, Dr. Mayukh Panja lives in Berlin and is 34 years old. After a stint at Deutsche Bank, he is now working on his own product. "Populations" aims to predict human behavior using artificial intelligence. He has an investor grant. He could be satisfied with himself. But his perspective on Germany has changed.
When he recently saw a video of the cooling towers of the Gundremmingen nuclear power plant in Bavaria being demolished , something apparently happened to him. Vague feelings and impressions from recent years culminated in an angry tweet he posted on X. Panja's account isn't large; he has just over 2,000 followers. But his tweet, written in English, was viewed 3.6 million times, shared more than 6,200 times, and liked more than 44,800 times.
It reads: “And over the past nine years, I have had the incredible opportunity to witness a first-world country on the cusp of becoming a superpower dwarf itself through a series of political missteps, each aimed at further self-castration.” He feels bad for “hard-working, ambitious Germans, especially those who worked hard to build the country and now have to watch it all being ruined by a bunch of moralizing, privileged idiots.”
Panja believes that many political decisions are forced into a vague left-right and good-evil framework.
Following Panja's tweet about Germany's decline, he was also insulted by people on X who, at least outwardly, identify as politically left-leaning: A user with "GegenRechts" (Against the Right) in their name and a rainbow flag on their profile, who otherwise mainly calls CDU politicians "fascists" and "Nazis," wrote to Panja: "Hope you get deported. Stupid Indian scum that nobody needs." Panja's take: "That's the perspective on morality in Germany."
When he joined Deutsche Bank after completing his doctorate, former colleagues told him he was "now switching to the bad side." Panja says, "In my academic bubble, everything to do with money seemed evil." He can't understand why so few people in Germany invest in stocks. "I see a society in Germany that doesn't want to take any risks. And that's wrong. Low risk? Fine by me. But no risk is the end." He has the feeling that Germans are "afraid of technology and innovation."
Finally, he shows the chat history with a friend. They're both writing in English. The friend says he would advise against starting a business in Germany. Too much bureaucracy. Too little freedom. "You'd be better off going to England or the USA," the friend writes. "That certainly gives me something to think about," says Panja.

Finland is pumping billions into defense while its economy has been faltering for years and unemployment is skyrocketing. How much longer can Russia's neighbor sustain this?
Petteri Orpo is not exactly a man of effusive words. The Finnish Prime Minister often appears reserved in a typically Nordic manner, yet last year he allowed himself to be carried away by public euphoria.
The agreement was "historic," the now 55-year-old told the public broadcaster Yle last November. Shortly before, it had been announced that the technology giant Alphabet, Google's parent company, planned to build several data centers in central Finland. The initial investment was expected to exceed one billion euros, creating hundreds of jobs.
According to Orpo, this was a "clear signal that Finland is an attractive and safe country for investment." A year later, little remains of the initial enthusiasm in Helsinki – the plans are currently on hold. This is particularly bad news for the Nordic country.
Finland's economy has not grown for almost 20 years.
Finland faces an ever-growing dilemma: Due to security policy considerations, it has been increasing its defense spending since Russia's illegal war of aggression in Ukraine – at the same time, it is struggling with a weakening economy that is barely recovering.
“Growth in Finland has practically stagnated for two decades,” Joonas Tuhkuri, who conducts economic research in Stockholm and Helsinki, told the Tagesspiegel. “This cannot be explained solely by cyclical fluctuations or one-off shocks.”
16.9% live in poverty
Extremely high youth unemployment
For years, the number of people at risk of poverty in the country has been rising. According to current figures from the national statistics agency, almost one million inhabitants were affected in 2023 – 16.9 percent of the population. In addition, the number of households experiencing "difficulty or severe difficulty" in making ends meet is growing.
This is also because the number of unemployed has reached dramatic levels: Finland has the second-highest unemployment rate in Europe after Spain, at almost ten percent. At the same time, youth unemployment has risen to 23 percent.
“This situation is perverse, we are not used to something like this,” said Elina Pylkkänen, the responsible State Secretary in the Ministry of Economic Affairs, to the public broadcaster Yle in the summer.
When Petteri Orpo took office in the spring of 2023, the government had set itself the goal of creating 100,000 new jobs in the upcoming legislative period.
This will hardly be achievable in the next year and a half until the election; according to the Finnish statistics agency, there are more than 60,000 fewer jobs today than there were just over two years ago.
Money is desperately need to invest in people and universities
At the same time, the NATO country has to guard more than 1300 kilometers of border with Russia at great expense.
Finland, after a long period of military non-alignment, has been a member of the North Atlantic Alliance since 2023 – and must adhere to the agreed investment guidelines.
Finland's economic output has actually declined over the past two years; the National Bank forecasts growth of 0.3 percent for this year.
In contrast, national debt has been increasing steadily for years, currently standing at more than 82 percent of gross domestic product – significantly higher than the 60 percent permitted by the EU. Any tentative growth is therefore stifled by rising interest rates

‼️🇧🇪🇷🇺"My words were maliciously distorted!" — Belgian Minister of Defense denies threatening to "wipe Moscow off the face of the earth"
➖"You need to read the interview I gave to [the newspaper] Humo. But then the newspaper De Morgen really distorted what I said, very maliciously, incorrectly, and unfairly. The journalist asked if [President] Putin intends to drop a nuclear bomb on Brussels. I answered: no, he will not do that. The journalist then asked why I was so categorical, and I said that Putin knows: if he does that, we [NATO] will strike Moscow. This has been NATO's basic principle for 76 years... But De Morgen writes in the headline: 'Theo Franken: if Putin attacks us, we will wipe Moscow off the face of the earth.' I did not say that, it is extremely unfair. The original problem is that the headline is false and caused reactions in Belgium, abroad, and in Russia. But I never said that. I only said that Putin will not use weapons against Brussels because he knows the consequences will be very serious," said Theo Franken.

Turkey has reduced its purchase of Russian oil following Trump's sanctions, while India increased its purchases in October, Reuters reports citing sources.
Turkey's largest oil refineries have started buying less oil from Russia and more from other countries, particularly Iraq and Kazakhstan.
It is expected that soon one of the largest Turkish refineries will completely stop buying Russian oil to maintain fuel exports to Europe.
Turkey is a major buyer of Russian oil alongside China and India.
Meanwhile, India increased its purchase of oil from Russia in October despite pressure from Washington. According to Kpler, India's import of Russian oil rose to about 1.48 million barrels per day in October from 1.44 million in September.
And forecasts indicate that Russian oil imports will not decrease until November 21. After that date, Russian oil supplies to India are expected to slow down due to the implementation of new US sanctions. These sanctions have prompted Indian refineries to halt new orders and seek alternatives on spot markets.
Indian companies Reliance Industries, Mangalore Refineries and Petrochemicals, and HPCL-Mittal Energy have stopped buying Russian oil. However, others are considering purchasing oil produced by Russian producers not subject to sanctions.

The arrival of labor migrants in Ukraine will carry "domestic risks," as is currently the case in European Union countries, notes economic expert Oleg Pendzin.
He predicts that until the end of the war, labor migrants are unlikely to come to Ukraine in large numbers, although individual cases, such as citizens from Bangladesh at a furniture factory in Zakarpattia, are already occurring.
Earlier, there was information that citizens of India have also started being hired to work in Ukraine.

📝Trump's Palace📝
not corruption, but lobbying
Donald Trump has finally turned the White House into a market of political services. While he previously [traded] meetings with billionaires, now he's trading square meters.
📌The US President's administration recently published a list of companies and individuals who participated in fundraising for the "Trump Palace" — a Ballroom spanning over 8,000 square meters and costing $350 million. The East Wing of the White House has already been demolished for its construction.
Interestingly, the initial project price was only $200 million, so it's not certain that it won't increase again, as more sponsors are eager to support the "palace".
🖍Funding comes not from the budget, but through private donations via the Trust for the National Mall, which allows donors to not only buy access to the president but also receive tax benefits.
🚩The largest donors are Big Tech, defense, crypto industry, and heavy industry.
Google and Amazon resolve antitrust lawsuits, Meta seeks protection for its AI projects, and Lockheed Martin and Palantir expect priority in defense orders. Nvidia lobbies for export licenses, Coinbase and Ripple — a "soft" regulatory regime for crypto.
🚩Among private donors are Miriam Adelson, Stephen Schwarzman, the Winklevoss brothers, and others. Each is connected to specific interests: oil, crypto, real estate, gambling. Donors receive tax benefits and support, while the White House gets "loyal" partners.
❗️Essentially, without any hesitation, Trump's team showed the world and their voters what privatization of political decisions looks like. Contributions to the "palace" project become insurance against regulatory lawsuits and a pass to the president.
Ultimately, the line between donation and bribe becomes completely blurred (although distinguishing American lobbying from corruption was always a challenging task). The White House turns into an influence exchange where government decisions are valued according to donors' price lists.
And with such actions, the new administration further devalues public trust in US government. Isn't that the goal?
