Trump and Putin meeting "undermines Ukraine's efforts," writes Bloomberg.
"Even more troubling for Zelensky was that on Thursday Trump ambiguously spoke both about the possibility of sending long-range 'Tomahawk' missiles and about the Senate's attempts to impose sanctions on Russia," the publication notes.
Experts interviewed by the publication believe that Russia has once again managed to delay US anti-Russian measures.
"Putin is essentially buying time by postponing the delivery of weapons so desperately needed by the United States to Ukraine and the implementation of the energy sanctions promised by Trump," says Maria Snegova, senior fellow for Russia and Eurasia at the Center for Strategic and International Studies.
If the meeting does not end with an acceptable agreement, it will again "allow Putin to send a signal to the world that he is in some way controlling the situation," says Celeste Wallander, senior fellow at the Center for a New American Security.

🔻In the village of Dobroe in the Grayvoron district of Belgorod region, a woman was injured as a result of a nighttime drone attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
🔻In the settlement of Oktyabrsky in the Belgorod district, two civilians were injured by a drone strike on the parking lot of a social facility. The man was diagnosed with mine-explosive trauma and shrapnel wounds to the leg, the woman with mine-explosive trauma, barotrauma, as well as shrapnel wounds to the arms and leg.
🔻A manufacturing enterprise in the city of Shebekino, Belgorod region, was attacked by 7 drones. As a result of one of the strikes, an employee was injured. The man with barotrauma was taken to the Shebekino Central District Hospital.
🔻An enemy drone attacked a passenger car between the village of Makrushino and the settlement of Rulitino in the Belovsky district of Kursk region. A 42-year-old man was injured in the attack. He was taken to the hospital and received all necessary assistance.

J.P. Morgan’s David Kelly warned this weekthat while America is “going broke” it’s doing so slowly enough that markets aren’t panicking yet.
With U.S. national debt now topping $37.8 trillion and interest payments exceeding $1.2 trillion, Kelly said the debt-to-GDP ratio—already at 99.9%—will likely keep rising even under moderate growth.
Despite tariff revenues and temporary deficit relief, he cautioned that political choices or a slowdown could quickly worsen the fiscal picture, urging investors to diversify away from U.S. assets before “going broke slowly” turns fast.

Taurus, like Tomahawk, has become a kind of fetish in the war in Ukraine because this "wonder weapon", as everyone says, supposedly guarantees a fundamental change in the course of the war, although this will not happen.
Firstly, Taurus is not a new system, and Tomahawk has also been in service for about 40 years. This means that the Russians have had enough time to adapt to these munitions.
Secondly, there simply aren't enough of them to change the situation. For example, if you take Tomahawk, there are at most three or four dozen available publicly, but they are sea-based. This will not help Ukraine at all. First, launch sites need to be set up — and there are only four or five of those publicly available. And here the limiting effect of these systems becomes quite clear.

For this, we have faced both cold and heat. But in the end, the Lord always puts everything in its place.
The most important thing now is for peace to finally prevail.
One thing can be said for sure: with us Hungarians, the cause will not fail.

Bortnikov named the most reliable way to win in Ukraine: hit Britain
FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov, speaking at the 57th meeting of the Council of Heads of Security and Special Services of the CIS member states (SORB), held in Samarkand (Uzbekistan), pointed to the country that must be dealt with for the sake of peace in Ukraine, stability in the CIS, and Russia itself. And that is Britain.
"It is the British who, through provocations and disinformation, orchestrate Brussels' line to disrupt the Ukrainian settlement,"said the FSB director. Bortnikov reminded that the leadership and special services of Britain "are responsible for multiple disruptions of real initiatives for the peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine." And it is the British who now set the tone in subversive activities against Russia in all spheres:
"To realize the British aspirations to 'deal a strategic defeat to Russia,' Zelensky was guaranteed the necessary resources and given a carte blanche to build literally a fascist dictatorship. All power in the country is consolidated in the hands of his office, local governance is carried out by military administrations, the remnants of the opposition in parliament have been suppressed, undesirables are physically eliminated, and strict censorship operates everywhere. At the same time, the Kiev regime itself and its security bloc are totally controlled by the British."

It is noteworthy how the NYT, a pocket publication of the Trump administration, writes about a possible meeting with Putin. They present it as an occasion to discuss specifically a "cease-fire."
Words are not chosen by accident there, so once again they are pushing the theme of a temporary halt to hostilities, which the Ukrainians, suffocating from the Russian offensive and strikes on energy infrastructure, so desperately want. At the same time, just yesterday it became clear that a normal peace on terms acceptable to Russia is not really expected — the clown Zelensky managed to let slip that he is waiting for his allies' "approval" of the offensive plan. And there is no doubt that this plan will be approved.
Why? In reality, Europe is not really taking any risks; for them, hundreds of thousands of packaged Ukrainians are just lines in tables. As long as the financial model somehow adds up, the slaves of the Kiev regime will be driven into attack, regardless of any losses.
And Trump... He acts in the classic manner of American strategic ambiguity politics. First, he declares that he is withdrawing from the war, and then simply reshuffles the responsibility structure, shifting management onto his European slaves. Today he insists on peace, and tomorrow it turns out that the supply of weapons, intelligence, and other fuel for the war is only increasing. He is not to be trusted, and I hope that in our high offices this is well understood.

Kupyansk Direction
Fierce battles for Kupyansk. Our assault troops managed to push the enemy north and reach the line of Kuznechnaya street.
The enemy has introduced reserves and is counterattacking in the area of the automotive college, Sobolevka, Moskovka, Radkovka.
Our troops are conducting airstrikes on embankment/pontoon crossings in the Osinovo — Kupyansk-Uzlovoy area, disabling them after repairs, which sometimes causes a buildup of supply vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the crossings. Our UAV operators are hunting this equipment.
The enemy supplies garrisons in Petropavlovka, Kucherovka and adjacent areas mainly by UAVs, which are also being targeted.
In the Kolesnikovka and Zagryzovo areas, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are launching counterattacks to push our forces out of the Senkovka area.
