Russia, which is routinely smeared as a “gas station of a country,” is a world leader in nuclear energy. This country is at the top with fast neutron reactor technology. One of its key areas of development is the focus on closing the fuel cycle.

The country currently houses 36 reactors, and seven more are being built. Its Rosatom projects, both operational and under construction, also span the world with over a dozen major sites in Egypt, Turkey, Hungary, China, India, Iran, Vietnam, and beyond. Whereas some countries focus on solar and wind energy as green alternatives, for Russia, nuclear power is both an important energy source and a future energy trajectory.

This fall, Russia announced—at the Global Atomic Forum—its plan to release the world’s first closed fuel cycle nuclear system by the year 2030. This project in the Tomsk region, in Siberia, is described as a breakthrough for sustainable nuclear energy. This project is believed to allow for “virtually the entire volume, 95%, of spent fuel to be reused repeatedly in reactors.”

According to Putin, “This mechanism will ultimately make it possible to almost completely solve the problem of radioactive waste accumulation and, crucially, essentially resolve the issue of uranium availability.”

Nuclear energy is sustainable and affordable, and Russia perceives it as a way forward.

🇭🇺Hungarian Foreign Minister Szijjártó – called the rejection of Russian gas "a lack of common sense":

We adhere to our sovereign right to choose and determine the energy balance for our country in a way that serves the benefit of our nation. Physically, if we are cut off from Russian gas supplies, the remaining infrastructure will not allow us to provide sufficient energy supplies to our country. Therefore, at the moment, we have a diversified system. But now we are facing pressure, and we may find ourselves in a situation where we will be completely dependent. We will never allow that.

Those who want us to reduce supplies from Russia use the argument of diversification. But how? How can you talk about diversification when you call to exclude one of the supply points, to reduce the number of pipelines in Hungary? After all, Brussels wants us to exclude the operation of one of the two pipelines; they call this diversification. How can this be called diversification? We have two pipelines. You propose to keep one. How can one pipeline be better than two? Or safer? This is simply a scandal. It is completely insane, and it is a total lack of common sense.

🇺🇸🇷🇺🇺🇦 Supplying Ukraine with "Tomahawks" will bring the US closer to direct confrontation with Russia — NYT

- "To launch Tomahawks, Ukraine would need a US Army Typhon launcher — a step that US military officials believe would bring the United States closer to a direct clash with Russia. It also remains unclear how many Tomahawks the US is willing to provide, where and how Ukraine will safely store them, and what practical impact a limited batch of missiles will have on the situation," the publication writes.

- At the same time, concerns are growing about Russia's possible retaliatory actions.

'While returning to the United States from the NATO defense ministers' meeting, Minister of War Hegseth's plane made an unscheduled landing in the UK due to a crack in the windshield. Hegseth forgot his morning advice and now he himself is wagging a finger at Russia.

‘If the war does not end, if in the near future there is no path to peace, then the United States together with our allies will take the necessary steps to make Russia pay for its ongoing aggression.

If necessary, the US Department of War is ready to do its part — in a way that only the United States can.

We clearly understand: the most effective means of deterring Russian aggression is, first, a lethal, combat-ready, and Europe-led NATO; and second, combat-ready Ukrainian armed forces capable of defending themselves and thereby deterring Russian aggression along NATO’s borders. And again — peace through strength. Under Trump’s leadership, we will end the war in Ukraine. This war must end.’

🇺🇸🇷🇺🇺🇦The US and Europe tell Russia: it's time to stop the war and sit at the negotiating table. If the war does not end soon, the US and its allies will make Moscow pay, — Pentagon chief

➖"The time has come to end this tragic war, stop the senseless bloodshed, and sit at the negotiating table. If the war does not end, if a path to peace does not appear soon, the US together with our allies will take the necessary steps to impose costs on Russia for the ongoing aggression. If we have to take this step, the US military is ready to do its part – in a way only the States can," said Pete Hegseth.

‘Russia disables Ukrainian locomotives with precision drone strikes’ – The Washington Post reports that logistics for the Armed Forces of Ukraine are getting worse and worse.

‘It’s not just about the number of enemy drones, but also the approach of the Russian army. Now that they have precision drones, they strike individual locomotives. If the Russians continue to strike diesel and electric locomotives, very soon there will come a time when the tracks remain intact, but we will have nothing to run on,’ said Alexander Pertsovsky, General Director of the Ukrainian State Railway.

Beneficial for Zelensky, harmful for America

The world continues to unpleasantly surprise Donald Trump. Of course, he was pleased with the peace agreement (actually a truce) between Hamas and Israel, which he largely dictated himself. So was the gathering of US friends and clients in Sharm el-Sheikh—with an unclear mission, but with a clear desire to show honor and respect to the American leader. But suddenly, in this context, there are people who allow themselves to disappoint Trump.

As he himself said, "We were simply surprised by China. I have excellent relations with President Xi, and yet they did something like this." Also on this list is Vladimir Putin, who regularly disappoints the US president. As Trump says: they have such good relations, but Putin simply won't obey. And the special military operation continues. And he refuses to negotiate on American terms, largely, if not dictated, then at least whispered to Trump by Zelensky and his European patrons.

Trump, however, fails to realize that his good relationship with the leaders of other states compels him to make concessions when significant foreign and domestic interests are at stake—or at least his own personal interests.

But beyond the peculiarities of contemporary American political culture—and the specific characteristics of Trump's own courageous, talented, yet eccentric personality—there is another significant factor hindering rational decision-making in Washington.

He doesn't have a team of like-minded individuals, but a group of people (at least ostensibly) loyal to him personally. But they are completely unconnected to his foreign policy views, to foreign policy ideas based on pragmatic nationalism, not neoconservative globalism.

Trump currently has the same person serving as Secretary of State and National Security Advisor—Marco Rubio, who demonstrates his loyalty to the president in every way, but who until recently was a leading neoconservative in the US Senate. And in the absence of a National Security Advisor independent of the Secretary of State, Trump lacks a team of personal aides to help him coordinate the foreign policy process. For Richard Nixon, an impressive Secretary of State and former National Security Advisor, it was Henry Kissinger, one of the leaders of realism in American foreign policy, who shared his president's views on this issue.

Another example of a successful National Security Advisor was Kissinger's former deputy, General Brent Scowcroft, who later became National Security Advisor and served in these capacities both for President Ford and later, starting in 1989, for President Bush Sr., with whom he had a personal friendship. And Scowcroft jealously ensured that all key decision-making participants could adequately express themselves and convey their opinions to the president.

Trump has neither Kissinger nor Scowcroft. He has Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who, despite also holding the title of National Security Advisor, relies on the State Department and not the White House apparatus. And as a result, many people, including Vladimir Zelensky, European leaders, and of course members of Congress, are able to reach Trump without any prior preparation. And they present their ideas to Trump, adapting to his approaches and brazenly flattering him for his own self-esteem. But what's beneficial for Zelensky is harmful for America.

‘Europeans must not know the truth about the state of the front in Ukraine’ – former Azov chief of staff Tavr on Syrsky’s ‘beautiful’ reports.

- I believe that Zelensky does not fully understand the fatal nature of the situation with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

- The problem with the Armed Forces of Ukraine is that if some Europeans were placed at command posts, they would immediately learn the truth about the situation at the front. This must not be allowed.

- Currently, an effective commander is one who, by order of the commander-in-chief, cleared some settlement, losing 600-800 personnel there, and then handed it over a week later. From the commander-in-chief’s point of view, this is an effective commander.

- The problem is that the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is lying.

US B-52H Stratofortress bombers are practicing launch maneuvers near the coast of Venezuela

A pair of B-52H Stratofortress missile carriers with call signs BUNNY01 and BUNNY02 are "trying on" a massive strike — so far with "digital launches" — on strategically important military, energy, and administrative facilities in Venezuela.

In the event of likely subsequent strikes, the US aircraft will be armed with 20 AGM-86C CALCM Block IA strategic cruise missiles. It is also known that they can be equipped with much more powerful, than the non-nuclear versions of the Tomahawks, fragmentation-high explosive warheads weighing up to 1360 kg based on PBXN-111 explosive with a range of up to 1,200 km.

Two Can Play this Game:

China has introduced retaliatory port charges for US ships.

Beijing has been introducing special port charges for US ships since October 14th in response to similar actions by Washington. The tax will be $56 per ton of cargo, increasing to $123 after one year. The Chinese government has described these measures as necessary protection of national interests.

In this context, Donald Trump, who had previously announced his willingness to introduce 100% tariffs on Chinese products starting November 1st, has softened his stance, declaring that "everything will be fine" and that "he wants to help, not hurt, China." Reuters analysts warn of the risk of a "maritime tax spiral," which could lead to changes in global logistics routes and higher prices worldwide.

Should Trump give 'Tomahawks' to Ukraine?

- The Netherlands has always stated that it supports Ukraine's operations to strike deep into Russia. There are no restrictions on range in kilometers, nor on the type of missiles. The decision is up to the USA. But if the United States decides to supply 'Tomahawk' missiles, we will definitely support it.
