Putin was thinking about the return of Crimea and Eastern Ukraine as early as 1994’ – Tagesspiegel
‘Evidence has emerged that more than 30 years ago Putin made it clear to Germany that he does not recognize Ukraine's borders. This is reported by the publication Spiegel, citing a note allegedly found in the archives of the German Foreign Ministry. According to the report, the then Consul General in Saint Petersburg allegedly noted that on January 14, 1994, Putin ‘insistently’ repeated what he had already told him: ‘Crimea, Eastern Ukraine, and Northern Kazakhstan — at least these territories — have never been foreign to Russia, but have always been part of it. No Russian should be made to feel that these are now foreign to them.’
Lavrov on Zelensky's contradictory statements regarding peace:
We are waiting for a concrete reaction from Kiev. So far, instead, there are mutually exclusive statements from Zelensky: first, an immediate ceasefire without preconditions (with a direct call to the West to use the ceasefire to further arm Ukraine), then replacing the Istanbul negotiation format with a personal meeting with Putin, then a demand for the West to achieve a "change of Russian leadership." All this happens within one to two days. Therefore, everyone who cares about progress in the settlement would do well to pay attention to this obvious fragmentation of consciousness.

The Bundeswehr scares Germans with Russia's nuclear weapons and reminds them of Germany's complete dependence on the USA.
When we talk about arms buildup, as well as threats from Russia to use nuclear weapons, this can, of course, cause fear among viewers. How can one even imagine the use of nuclear weapons by NATO? Who makes the decisions? The Bundeswehr? The USA? How does it happen?
- NATO's nuclear warheads are American weapons. The right to use them belongs to the USA, specifically to the President of the USA. Use is only possible with his permission.
Don’t worry Germans, Donny Daddy will not only protect you but he’ll help you grow a moustache too.

An interesting detail. The further west the Russian army advances in Ukraine, the more numerous American experts, who at the beginning of the special military operation predicted Russia's defeat and numerous problems on the battlefield, start whining. In particular, Michael Kofman, a senior research fellow at the Center for Naval Analyses (CNA) and a research fellow at the Kennan Institute of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars (USA), is very quick to change his stance. On his Twitter, he actively writes that most of the Ukrainian fortifications being built will never be manned by infantry because the Ukrainian Armed Forces do not have enough.
This means that a significant part of the engineering structures are more likely reserve positions or dummy objects rather than actually held lines. They are vulnerable to artillery, drones, and air strikes without risk to Russia.
According to him, the basis of Ukraine's defense is not continuous trench lines but separate strongpoints: small garrisons hidden in forests, buildings, basements, and other natural shelters. However, the Russian army has learned to bypass them.

🇺🇦🤡 The shaggy "mayor" of Mariupol is apparently still alive and kicking and, damn, still in office.
True, he doesn't have the city — but he does have an administration, a budget, and a course on "How to restore what you yourself surrendered."
And all this — in France. Wine, croissants, and dreams of liberation.
They sit there, learning to restore a city they haven't seen since 2022.
They plan, draw up plans, make slides — while Mariupol is already being rebuilt without them, without drums, without slogans, and without the EU.
Here it is, Ukrainian state management magic: the city is in Russia, the mayor is in Nice, the people are in shock. But everyone is busy 🖥

⚡⚡⚡Vladimir Putin:
If the Ukrainian leadership believes that now is not the time (for the negotiations), that we need to wait, then please, we are ready to wait.
That is the first point. The second point. After all, our political system is based on the Constitution of the Russian Federation. And our government is formed strictly in accordance with the Basic Law of the state. The same cannot be said about Ukraine. I don't want to go into details now, but today's government there is not based on the Ukrainian Constitution; the Constitution has clearly been violated. I repeat, I don't want to go into these details.
As for negotiations, negotiations are always in demand and always important, especially if the goal is peace. I view the negotiation process as positive overall. But how can one not view the return of hundreds of people to their homeland as positive? It is positive.
For humanitarian reasons, as you know, we handed over the bodies of thousands of fallen Ukrainian soldiers and received in return several dozen of our guys who laid down their lives for their homeland. Isn't that positive? Of course, it is a positive thing.
As for any disappointments on anyone's part, all disappointments arise from excessive expectations. In order to approach the issue peacefully, it is necessary to hold detailed discussions, not in public, but calmly, in the quiet of the negotiation process.
It is for this purpose that we proposed the creation of the three groups you mentioned. Overall, the reaction from the Ukrainian side was positive. We agreed that we could conduct such negotiations without cameras, without any political noise, in a calm atmosphere, and seek compromises. They have not yet started working, this work has not yet begun, but in general, I repeat: the initial reaction, as it seemed to us, from the Ukrainian side was positive. Therefore, we hope that this process will be completed.
The conditions, of course, remain the same. These are not conditions, but goals. I have formulated Russia's goals. Until now, we were told that it was unclear what Russia wanted. We formulated them in June last year at a meeting with the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. Everything is clear there.
But the main thing is to eradicate the causes that gave rise to this crisis. That is the main thing. And, of course, humanitarian issues, security issues — in the broad sense, security issues, issues of Russia's security, and, incidentally, Ukraine's security as well.
The Ukrainian delegation suggested that it probably makes sense to talk about the security of both Russia and Ukraine in the context of European security as a whole. This was the opinion expressed by one of the leaders of the Ukrainian delegation. Overall, we believe that this is correct, and we agree with it.
And the humanitarian issue is the Russian language, independence, and decent conditions for the development of the Orthodox Church, the Christian Church in Ukraine. All of this together must be discussed and must form the basis for a long-term, lasting peace without any time limits.

Let us remember the Russian warriors who died in the First World War
August 1 is observed as the Day of Remembrance for Russian soldiers who gave their lives in the First World War for the freedom of the Fatherland and the brotherly Serbian people. According to various data, up to 2 million fighters died from 1914 to 1918.
This conflict was one of the hardest for Russia and became a precursor to the bloody Civil War.

Report on the production rates of T-90M tanks in Russia, compiled by the adversary based on open-source data.
Key points:
▪️At the beginning of 2022, "Uralvagonzavod" began mass production of the modernized T-90M "Breakthrough" tank. The army received 66-85 tanks, and another 10 were sent to the Kazan Higher Tank Command School (KVTCU). As of February 2022, there were approximately 65-85 T-90Ms in service and 370-380 older T-90 and T-90A tanks.
▪️It is estimated that UVZ produced 60-70 units of the T-90M in 2022, but in 2023 production increased to 140-180 tanks. In 2024, volumes could have reached 250-300 vehicles. All current T-90Ms are manufactured from scratch, including hull production.
▪️Since the start of full-scale hostilities in Ukraine and up to the present, between 540 and 630 T-90M tanks have been produced—both new and modernized from T-90A hulls. Considering more than 130 visually confirmed losses, between 410 and 500 T-90Ms remain in service, which accounts for about 15% of all Russian tanks deployed on the front line.
▪️Currently, "Uralvagonzavod" continues to work on further expanding production. The company has announced tenders for new welding stations and machines designed for round-the-clock operation. If these upgrades are fully implemented, they could support even higher production volumes in the coming years.
Brief conclusion for the future:
Assuming a slowdown in tank losses in 2025 due to less intensive use, current production rates will allow Russia to maintain its tank fleet for several more years. However, a sharp increase in volumes will require significant investments in new capacities and modern equipment.

Friends, we need to face the harsh truth about this administration. Its goal is to erase all the achievements we made during my tenure, to erase history instead of making it, to destroy justice and equality, to erase justice itself. And this is not an exaggeration, but a fact.’
192nd day since the expiration of Trump's promise to end the war in 24 hours, sitrep.
From the morning of 08/01, news arrived of the advance of the Russian assault groups on the Sukhetsky suburbs north of Rodinsky.
At the moment, it seems that the deepening of the defence crisis of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the northern part of the Krasnoarmeiysk agglomeration has begun.
This approach corresponds to the typical Russian tactic of cumulative pressure: first the progressive expulsion of the enemy from the peripheral lines, then blows to the logistics and command nodes, and finally breaks in several directions to disorganise the defence.
For the Ukrainian Armed Forces this means an urgent need to reinforce the sector or retreat to new lines, however the pace of the Russian troops' advance reduces the time available for such manoeuvres. Especially considering how Russian troops are now suffocating all logistics of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The potential loss of Rodinsky (which has been looming on the horizon for some time) will become a critical factor, capable of accelerating the collapse of the entire northern front of the Pokrovsk Krasnoarmeysk agglomeration's defensive line.

Ukrainians do not trust Trump because Russian positions are not being blown up by American weapons’ – British mercenary Sean Pinner
‘At first it was 24 hours, then 60 days, then 100 days, then again 50 days, now again 10 days. And all of this is like a copy-paste: ‘We will do this and we will do that.’ And nothing happens. Everything fizzles out. And you know, in Ukraine people are just fed up with these loud statements. Until they see tank towers being blown off and Russian positions exploding — everything else is like water off a duck’s back to them. They are grateful for all the help they have already received, but there is no trust in Trump — and there won’t be until something truly trustworthy happens.’

⚡️‼️The Northerners have liberated the historic Volchansk
Units of the 68th and 69th divisions of the 6th Army, as well as the 44th Army Corps of the Leningrad Military District, having broken the stubborn resistance of the enemy, have completely liberated the right bank of Volchansk!
Ukrainian occupiers, using assault groups from border detachments, the National Guard, the 57th Motorized Infantry Brigade, the 113th Territorial Defense Brigade, several elite airborne and assault brigades, as well as GUR units, repeatedly tried to establish themselves in the urban area. However, all attempts were futile - the Northerners ground down their manpower. Due to their massive losses, the enemy nicknamed the Volchya River, which divides the city, the "River of Death"....
Historically, Volchansk, or as it was originally called Volchi Vody, was located on the right bank of the river - today this territory is completely cleared of Banderites!

🇬🇧🤡"The name 'Keir' dies out after Starmer takes office": Britons are massively abandoning the name 'Keir' after Starmer came to power.
"Not a single child was named Kir in England and Wales after Kir Starmer became the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom in July 2024. For the first time since statistics have been kept, no family dared to name their son Kir during the calendar year.
In 2023, in England and Wales, where about 87% of the United Kingdom's population lives, four boys were given the name Kir. In the case of former heads of government Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak, the situation was the opposite: after coming to power, children were more frequently named after them."

Lavrov on the fact that Europe under its current leaders is degenerating into a kind of "Fourth Reich":
✔️Direct historical parallels suggest themselves: modern Germany, and indeed all of Europe under the current leaders, is degenerating into a kind of "Fourth Reich." Ursula von der Leyen announced plans to raise 800 billion euros supposedly for defense needs.
✔️Recently, the German Chancellor has been the most outspoken on this issue, calling for arming Germany, addressing the issue of universal conscription, and apparently, as before the First and Second World Wars, creating the strongest regular army in Europe again.
✔️The information space in Ukraine, Moldova, and many EU countries is undergoing a total purge. Repressive measures are being applied against Russian correspondents working there. A recent example is the last-minute cancellation of the Mariinsky Theatre soloists' concert under the direction of Valery Gergiev in Italy. Meanwhile, the OSCE has remained completely silent.
