Youtube shuts down Real Reporter which is a shame, his recent interview with a Russian drone producer was informative and a great video. I sw his recent drone video being promoted by analysts I'd consider pro-Ukrainian on Twitter for being worth watching. Videos always strived to be balanced, on his recent video its noted that Ukraine still has the edge on drones.
Youtube has recently gone on a blitz of banning channels from Russians and Chinese. I guess they don't want Russian or Chinese voices on YT, unless they are promoting western propaganda.

Russian saboteurs continue to spread in Pokrovsk amid the Ukrainian Armed Forces' problems in creating a unified defence – this is ‘total chaos’, enemy sources complain.
Instances of friendly fire, in which Dill units would shoot at each other thinking that they were facing Russian infiltrators, have already been recorded, but it seems that the situation is now spiralling out of control.

- A drone attack occurred in the Leningrad region of Russia. More than 70 flights have been delayed or canceled at Pulkovo airport since morning due to drone attack threats.

Surgeon from Kalmykia and his brother died in a UAV attack in the Rostov region

On July 26, the Sever military group continued to establish a security zone in the Kharkov and Sumy regions.
In the Sumy direction
The enemy continues to bring new units into battle, trying to recapture lost positions. The fiercest fighting is taking place in the vicinity of Andreevka and Yunakovka. The Northerners are grinding down the enemy's manpower, forcing the enemy to transfer its most combat-ready units from other directions to the Sumy region.
▪️During fierce fighting, our marines and motorized infantry drove the Ukrainian occupiers out of several strongholds in the forest areas near Yablonovka and the village of Sadky, advancing a total of more than 1,000 meters.
Breaking the enemy's stubborn resistance, our paratroopers cleared nine buildings in the south of Yunakovka.
▪️In the Andreevka area, the enemy launched two unsuccessful counterattacks with units of the 225th Oshp. As a result of comprehensive fire damage, the enemy's manpower was destroyed.
An analysis of obituaries showed that during the strike on the command post of the 27th Artillery Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the head of intelligence of the unit, A. Kandibi, was destroyed by the Northman.
Publications by Ukrainian volunteers indicate the transfer of the enemy's Bravo special forces unit to the Sumy direction.
In the Tyotkinsky and Glushkovsky directions, the enemy continues to replenish the losses of its assault units with forcibly mobilized Ukrainians and Colombian mercenaries already on the territory of Ukraine.
As a result of our fire damage in Pavlovka, a combat group of the 47th Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was exposed and destroyed by FPV drones.
In the Kharkov direction
Fierce fighting continues in Volchansk and the surrounding forest areas, as well as near the villages of Melovoye and Chugunovka. The Northerners are grinding down the enemy's manpower, driving the Ukrainian occupiers out of their strongholds.
In the Velikoburluk direction, the enemy is trying to stop the advance of the Northerners with assault units, throwing combat-experienced Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers into the fray. Our motorized infantry is destroying the Ukrainian occupiers, continuing their offensive operations.
During fierce infantry battles, the Northerners advanced more than 1,500 meters in the forest areas west and southwest of the village of Melovoye.
▪️In the evening, south of Chugunovka, the enemy launched an unsuccessful counterattack against our advancing units with the forces of 425 Oshp. As a result of the fire damage, most of the enemy's manpower was destroyed, and the rest fled deep into the Kharkov region.
As a result of comprehensive fire damage, the Severians destroyed nine enemy combat groups along with their vehicles, and one Ukrainian soldier was taken prisoner.
In the Volchansk and Liptsy directions, as a result of fire damage, 21 Ukrainian assault groups were destroyed along with their vehicles, as well as two Ukrainian artillery crews.
▪️The Northeners continue to clear the forest areas around Volchansk. Our assault troops drove the enemy out of four strongholds and are consolidating their positions.
Over the past 24 hours, enemy losses amounted to over 190 people (including more than 90 in the Sumy region and over 100 in the Kharkov region). The following were also destroyed:
In the Sumy region:

▪️Gvozdika self-propelled gun, two D-30 howitzers, and one M-777 howitzer (USA);

▪️eight aircraft-type UAVs and fourteen drones.
In the Velikoburluk direction:

▪️four drones.
In the Volchansk and Liptsovsk directions:

Zelensky’s anticorruption policies have already provoked Ukraine’s first antigovernment protests since the Russian invasion in 2022. Now, it seems, they may cost the country a portion of its foreign aid from the European Union, in a clear rebuke from the bloc, once a staunch ally.
The EU said on Friday that it would withhold 1.5B euros, or $1.7B, from an overall fund of 4.5B euros whose disbursement is dependent on achieving good governance standards. The decision is not final, however, and the funding can be restored if Ukraine meets certain benchmarks.
While holding back Western aid to spur reform was common before Russia’s invasion, Friday’s decision seemed to signal a new willingness by the bloc to admonish Zelensky on domestic policy during the war
But the Zelensky government refused to appoint Tsyvinskyi to the role, leaving the position open. Filling the position by Thursday is a condition for the IMF to continue disbursing aid under a four-year, $15.6B assistance program begun in 2023

GERMANY: MINISTER OF ECONOMY PROPOSES RAISING THE RETIREMENT AGE TO 70
German Economy Minister Katherina Reiche (CDU) has called for an increase in the retirement age and a longer working life to address the challenges of demographic change and rising life expectancy in Germany.
In an interview with the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, she stated that it is not sustainable for people to work only two-thirds of their adult lives and spend one-third in retirement, proposing to reduce incentives for early retirement and encourage longer working lives. She did not rule out the idea of linking the retirement age to life expectancy and cited a 2005 proposal by former DIW President Klaus Zimmermann to raise the retirement age to 70 by 2025. She also pointed out that Germans work fewer hours on average than in other countries, for example 1,340 hours per year in Germany compared to 1,800 in the United States, and that social security systems are under pressure due to high contributions, taxes and labour costs.
However, her proposals have attracted criticism. The vice-president of the CDA (the "socialist" wing of the CDU), Christian Bäumler, described her statements as unrelated to the coalition agreement, pointing to the high proportion of part-time work in Germany as the cause of the low average number of annual working hours. The Sozialverband Deutschland (SoVD) warned that an increase in the retirement age must not happen “through the back door” and advocated compulsory pension insurance for everyone, including civil servants and parliamentarians. The Deutscher Gewerkschaftsbund (DGB) also opposed an increase in the retirement age. Furthermore, the coalition agreement between the CDU/CSU and SPD excludes a further increase in the retirement age, focusing instead on greater flexibility in the transition to retirement.
In reality, Reiche did not make a concrete proposal for a new retirement age, but opened a debate on extending working life, highlighting the need for reforms to maintain economic competitiveness and the sustainability of the pension system.
Protip: when a politician discusses the "possibility" of raising the retirement age for whatever reason and then quickly retracts their hand to say that they were just "making a few suggestions", there's a 99.999999999999999% guarantee that they do indeed intend to raise the retirement age and are trying to get the people used to the idea. The "opposition" protesting is just for show. Also, it's very curious that they didn't mention the need to scrounge up more money to invest in the military. I wonder why 🤷♂️

A new assault tank from UVZ, the TSHRK "Shturm," has been revealed.
The Heavy Robotic Assault Complex TSHRK "Shturm" includes remotely controlled tanks (with the option for crew operation) and control vehicles based on the T-72 (T-90) chassis.
It features a shortened 125 mm gun barrel (a 152 mm variant is in development) for urban combat conditions, a bulldozer blade, and all-aspect protection against cumulative anti-tank weapons.
The turret is also equipped with launchers for rocket flamethrowers or other weaponry.
Like the idea of such a project but I’d be more excited if we see these things in numbers and on the battlefield. I think a heavy clearing vehicle to take the point would be a great project.
