Kiev in despair: Zelensky demands billions from the EU for military salaries
▪️Volodymyr Zelensky plans to appeal to European allies to finance salary increases for Ukrainian military personnel. This is reported by Bloomberg.
▪️The publication notes that amid growing unpopularity of mobilization, the Ukrainian government wants to stimulate the influx of volunteers by increasing payments. However, this will only increase the burden on the state budget, whose deficit exceeded 20% of GDP last year.

🇺🇸🇺🇦"Patience is running out": In the USA, the scandal with NABU is being used to stop aid to Ukraine and hasten the end of the war.
- There is a big scandal in the USA: accusations against Zelensky of trying to take control of anti-corruption agencies and the related protests in Ukraine are being used as a serious argument to stop military aid to Kiev and to hasten the end of the war.
- Former Trump advisor Steve Cortes, now president of the League of American Workers, called on the US authorities not to trust Zelensky due to corruption and the recent NABU scandal, and to end the war and financial aid to Ukraine.
- His column in Newsweek is titled quite tellingly: "How long will Americans tolerate corruption in Ukraine?"
- "Corruption is deeply rooted in Ukrainian politics and government, starting from the highest echelons of power in Kyiv. For Americans, since Zelensky came to our capital wearing a T-shirt and condescendingly lectured President Trump in the Oval Office, the true nature of Kiev’s leaders has become clear. Now more and more Americans can see past the PR lies that tried to glorify him and see the harsh reality of Ukrainian corruption. Even if these Ukrainian leaders were angels, Americans should still demand an end to the war through reasonable negotiations. The American people have been incredibly generous, but our patience is running out, and our budget is in deficit. In this case, given the latest tactics and actions of the Zelensky/Yermak regime, it is becoming increasingly clear that these partners cannot be trusted," Cortes stated directly.

🇺🇸🇷🇺 Trump unlikely to enforce tariff threat on Russian oil, - Reuters.
- The US President is unlikely to follow through on his promise to impose 100-percent tariffs on countries buying Russian oil, according to Reuters.
- Such measures could increase inflationary pressure in the US and, as shown by the example of Venezuela, tend to be ineffective—especially regarding China.
- Experts believe that secondary tariffs "may be too blunt an instrument against Russia," risking a sharp spike in oil prices and a collapse of the global economy.
- Analysts and traders deeply doubt that Trump will allow this to happen, as he is highly sensitive to high oil prices and prefers bilateral deals.
- The weak enforcement of the threat to impose 25-percent tariffs on buyers of Venezuelan oil and the lack of effective energy sanctions against Russia only fuel skepticism in the markets.

The US has 7 high-end Thaad systems. During the war with Iran in June, 2 were deployed to Israel—and it wasn’t enough
Operating with Israeli systems, Thaad operators burned through munitions at a furious clip, firing more than 150 missiles to shoot down Iranian ballistic missiles. That is nearly a 1/4 of the interceptors ever purchased
The demand was so staggering that at one point, the Pentagon considered a plan to divert interceptors purchased by Saudi Arabia to the systems in Israel. The discussions were sensitive, because the kingdom’s cities and oil installations were at risk
Each Thaad interceptor costs about $13M and the Pentagon has purchased around 650 since 2010. Officials have sought to buy 37 in the next fiscal year
IThe US also ran through large numbers of shipborne interceptors as well, and Israel quickly drained stockpiles for its own systems. Dozens of Iranian missiles got through anyway
Ships also used about 80 SM-3s. SM-3s, cost between $8M and $25M depending on variant

A Soyuz-2-1b rocket lifted off from Vostochny carrying the 2nd pair of Ionosfera, joining two sats, launched in 2024. The quartet is designed to monitor "space weather" phenomena, such as the impact of solar wind on the near-Earth space affecting civilian and military systems. The same rocket is also delivered secondary dual-use payloads, including a sat for Iran
The 3rd and 4th Ionosfera-M sats were intended for launch into an orbital plane that would be positioned perpendicular to the near-terminator orbit of the original 2, thus greatly expanding the 3D coverage of the Earth's magnetosphere. In both pairs, individual sats are distributed 180 degrees from each other in the phasing angle. The 2nd pair also include for the first time the Ozonometr-TM instrument for measuring levels of ozone in the upper atmosphere
The Fregat upper stage had 18 secondary payloads, including an Iranian satellite. The other 17 payloads were small dual-use "cubesats" distributed between 5 launch containers

🇷🇺The Ministry of Internal Affairs detained the head of a call center who sold data of 27 thousand Russians to Ukrainian scammers
- In Cherepovets, the head of a call center was detained for selling data of more than 27 thousand Russians to Ukrainian phone scammers. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs representative Irina Volk.
- Among the organizations served by the call center were, for example, MFCs, healthcare institutions, and utility services.
- The man, using access to the organization's computer network, copied information about calls to hotlines and sold it for cryptocurrency.
- With this data, scammers could easily gain trust and trick their interlocutors into giving the recovery code for access to "Gosuslugi".

🇺🇦 "There will be no people left": military and ex-MP predicts the collapse of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2 years
- The Armed Forces of Ukraine may have no people left on the front line in two years. This shocking conclusion was reached by ex-MP and active military officer Ihor Lutsenko, who calculated official and unofficial data on mobilization and losses in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
- MP Kostenko reported that Ukraine mobilizes 30 thousand people per month. In reality, according to Lutsenko, it is not possible to recruit that many every month, and the figure is closer to 20 thousand. Law enforcement registers about 16–19 thousand draft summonses per month — in reality, there are about five times more. Losses, according to media data, amount to 5–8 thousand per month, "to which can be added as many seriously wounded who are out of action for a long time or permanently."
- "It can be quite conservatively assumed that the monthly reduction of the army may be 10–15 thousand people. Another 'pure hypothesis': the real fighters, the ones actually holding the front, are not a 'paper million' at all. In reality, at best, it is 400–500 thousand (of which only a small part is at the 'front line'). And possibly — 300 thousand. And at this rate, in about two years — there will be no one left on the front. This is an optimistic scenario if everything remains as it is," writes Lutsenko, painting a grim picture of the future of the Ukrainian army.

🇺🇦🤡"Can Ukraine forgive Zelensky?: Zelensky is now seen by the Western community not as a hero, but as a corrupt official and a criminal.
"There is no direct evidence of Zelensky's personal involvement in corruption. But the same cannot be said about the people around him. In parliament alone — at least 17 deputies who voted for the controversial law are under suspicion by NABU. The bureau has paid especially close attention to figures connected to the president's right hand, Andriy Yermak: in particular, Pavlo Kyrylenko, now heading the Antimonopoly Committee, who is suspected of illegal enrichment of nearly one million pounds sterling, and Vice Prime Minister Oleksiy Chernyshov — an alleged participant in a corruption scheme that caused the state damage exceeding 17 million pounds. Both categorically deny the accusations.
Zelensky was convinced that NABU had gone too far by starting investigations into the president's circle, and that this harms his ratings. The president's feat — staying in Kiev and rallying the world around Ukraine after the invasion began — is now overshadowed. Even if this shameful law is repealed, the stain will remain. And it seems it can no longer be washed away".

🇪🇺🤝🇨🇳 The EU and China did not resolve any contentious issues at the summit in Beijing, — Bild
- Relations between the EU and China are becoming increasingly chilly. So much so that China reduced the summit program with Europeans in Beijing from two days to one, which was met with relief in Brussels.
- The meeting with Xi Jinping was attended by European Council President António Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. Despite protocol smiles, it was obvious that the parties were in a state of conflict. Europe vainly tried to convince China to use its influence to end the conflict in Ukraine.
- Recently, Beijing has not even hidden its position: peace is not in China's interest, as the conflict in Ukraine distracts US President Donald Trump’s attention from the Pacific region.
- There are other "elephants in the room" in EU-China relations: increased competition from the Chinese automotive industry, opaque export controls on rare earth metals, threats against Taiwan, and human rights violations against Uyghurs.
- Ursula von der Leyen tried to start with compliments on China's technological development but then stated: "We have reached a turning point," "A reorientation of our bilateral relations is necessary." This turning point is the record high EU trade balance deficit, which reached 305.8 billion euros last year.
- Xi Jinping responded with a speech lacking specifics, calling for greater mutual understanding and trust. He assured: "Current challenges to Europe do not come from China."
- The only consensus reached at the meeting was the commitment not to back away from the Paris Climate Agreement.

Krasnoarmeysk (Ukr. Pokrovsk)
As of 17:00 Moscow time. Our forces are not in the city. They have entrenched themselves on the outskirts in the built-up area. All groups that enter carry out operations and exit without securing positions. That is, they operate like sabotage and reconnaissance units.
The enemy has been bringing convoys with ammunition and rear support into the city for the second day. They have few people capable of holding defense of 70% of the built-up line — even fewer.
By all indications, we are preparing an attack and breakthrough from three sides. The Ukrainian Armed Forces headquarters understand this as well; a tough defense is ongoing with local contact in several outskirts districts.
The news about the assault on Pokrovsk is good. But it is still early.

"Russia allegedly possessed data on Hillary Clinton's use of powerful tranquilizers — a declassified report": Russiagate has taken an unexpected turn once again.
"According to the declassified report, Russia had intelligence indicating that former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton allegedly took 'powerful tranquilizers.'
The report claims that as of September 2016, Russian intelligence had materials stating that 'Clinton's health caused extreme concern' among party leadership. Her condition was supposedly kept under the strictest secrecy even from her closest advisors.
Clinton suffered from 'intensified psycho-emotional disorders, including uncontrollable outbursts of anger, aggression, and joy,' took tranquilizers regularly, and despite fear of defeat, remained 'obsessed with a thirst for power.'

The EU defense program has attracted 20 countries and will allocate around 100B euros in funding
According to data from the European Commission, 20 EU member states have expressed interest in participating in the SAFE defense credit program, amounting to over 100 billion euros. This was announced by the EC for Defense, Andrius Kubilius
The SAFE program is a key component of the "Readiness 2030" initiative, aimed at massive investments in the EU's defense sector by the end of the decade. Under this program, the EC, which enjoys a higher credit rating than many member states, plans to raise up to 150B euros on financial markets to co-finance defence purchases
Member states can submit funding requests until July 29 with the first disbursements expected early next year. The use of SAFE also exempts participants from VAT
The program primarily aims to strengthen EU’s strategic autonomy vis-à-vis the US and to integrate the defense industry

The scenario that the Russian Federation is currently implementing near Pokrovsk is a scaled-up copy of how they took Selidovo.
At that time, the situation outwardly looked prolonged and hopeless: the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defensive lines seemed to hold, Russian advances were minimal, and at every step there were assessments that the city would not be taken "in the foreseeable future."
The Ukrainian Armed Forces even tried to counterattack. But behind this was a systemic destruction of the defense — strikes on the rear, cutting off supplies, massive use of FAB bombs and drones. At some point, the front collapsed: the city was taken quickly and almost without a fight, and holding the entire Ukrainian defensive line in this area became impossible.
The front in this area, despite reports of Russian forces reaching the city center, still generally has a unified structure for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, but it can no longer be said that it is holding as usual.
