He became widely known for his unique singing style and for his lyrics, which featured social and political commentary in often-humorous street jargon. He was also a prominent stage- and screen-actor. Though the official Soviet cultural establishment largely ignored his work, he was remarkably popular during his lifetime and has exerted significant influence on many of Russia's musicians and actors.

The second day of the conflict between Thailand and Cambodia has begun.
The situation at the border remains extremely tense. Both sides are actively transferring armored vehicles and artillery systems to the contact line. Regular artillery shelling is recorded, including the use of multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).

Israeli Defense Minister Katz condemned Macron's statement:
Macron's statement about the intention to recognize a Palestinian state is a disgrace and a capitulation to terrorism, as well as a reward and encouragement for the killers and aggressors from Hamas, who committed the most terrible massacre of the Jewish people since the Holocaust.
Instead of supporting Israel during this trial, the President of France is working to weaken it.
We will not allow the creation of a Palestinian entity that will harm our security, threaten our existence, and damage our historical right to the Land of Israel.

As of 06:00 Moscow time. The Russian assault forces have entered the city and are fighting on the first streets.
An intensification of our actions is observed across the entire front. It seems like the beginning of a full-scale offensive.

Back in 2001, USAID-funded Internews wasn’t just "helping" Ukraine’s media, it was engineering it.
They trained 1900 journalists, propped up over 200 TV stations and 100+ radio outlets, reaching 50 million viewers and 18 million listeners.
This wasn’t support, it was a massive propaganda operation to push a pro-Western agenda and grease the wheels for EU and NATO expansion.
Full-blown narrative control, plain and simple.

It's long past time the US acknowledged sanctions are not benign "economic statecraft," they're a form of warfare that takes countless innocent lives.

Today in Severodvinsk, the naval flag was raised on the new strategic nuclear-powered missile submarine "Knyaz Pozharsky" of project 955A.
This is already the 8th SSBN of project 955 "Borei" (and the 5th modification 955A), with 2 more currently under construction.
"Knyaz Pozharsky" became the 3rd "Borei" in the Northern Fleet, the other 5 are part of the Pacific Fleet. Its length is 170 meters, and its submerged displacement is 24,000 tons. It carries 16 R-30 "Bulava" intercontinental ballistic missiles.
The solemn ceremony was attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin, First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov, Presidential Aide Alexey Dyumin, Presidential Aide Nikolay Patrushev, Commander-in-Chief of the Navy Admiral Alexander Moiseyev, and Governor of the Arkhangelsk Region Alexander Tsybulsky.
Russia can produce more nuclear submarines than the US and UK combined.

They sleep together and carry rifles to fend off Russian special forces: new details about the lives of Zelensky and Yermak from the Financial Times
▪️The relationship between Zelensky and Yermak has strengthened during the war: when necessary, they live together and sleep side by side in a bunker in the presidential complex.
▪️They even sleep next to each other in an air-raid protected bunker of the building where they work, and after a long working day, Zelensky and Yermak "can relax by playing table tennis or watching classic films."
▪️Additionally, in the early days of the war, Zelensky and the head of his Office constantly kept assault rifles nearby in case Russian special forces broke into the presidential complex.
▪️As one Office employee recalls, the weapons were necessary either to fight their way out or to "ensure a dignified end rather than being captured."

Pokrovskoe (Krasnoarmeyskoye) direction
Units of the "Center" grouping after taking Novoekonomicheskoye entered Mirnograd (Dimitrov) from the east and south.
It can be stated as a fact that our troops have now begun the assault on Mirnograd as well.
In Pokrovsk, the enemy is already building defenses directly in the city, in the area of the apartment buildings. They even brought in "dragon's teeth".
The situation in the city is very dynamic. The enemy does not fully understand which areas in the city are controlled by our units, which periodically leads to "friendly fire".
Our units are attacking enemy positions on the western outskirts near the T-0406 highway.
Pershe Travnya (Leontovichi), and not only it, are occupied by our units.
Fighting has begun for the eastern outskirts of Krasny Liman, continuing for the "Krasnolimanskaya" mine, Suvorovo, Nikanorovka, and Shakhovo.
Our units are attacking in the direction of Belitskoye.

💬"We have no water in the Republic. An absolute ecological catastrophe is happening"
1.5 million people in Donbass have had problems with water for the third year already. Residents of Donbass tell how they live in such conditions. They stock up on bottles for future use. Water comes from the taps once every two or three days for only a few hours, but it doesn't reach everyone.
This is truly a humanitarian catastrophe. We have no water in the Republic. Because two years ago a water blockade was declared. Three years already... and the Seversky Donets Canal was blocked - the main artery that brings water to our cities. It is worth understanding that Ukraine has put Donbass in conditions of an absolute humanitarian catastrophe. This is, in fact, an inhuman genocide of the civilian population of Donbass,

📝Venezuela Chooses Development📝
What the municipal elections in the country are saying
In the last days of July, municipal elections are being held in Venezuela for mayors of 335 municipalities and 2,471 members of municipal councils, which practically completes the long electoral cycle that began in 2024.
In addition to the ruling socialist party, opposition forces are also participating in the process. Although their main coalition announced a boycott of the vote, several independent and moderate parties have still fielded their candidates.
📌 Among the participants are also about 20 new movements focused on working in the provinces and solving specific problems, not on the abstract "struggle against the regime". However, this did not prevent the Western media from reporting on the elections in a critical manner, telling stories about the complete usurpation of power.
Nevertheless, political dialogue in Venezuelan society is still observed. There is noticeable progress in the development of educational programs, support for social services, and new youth structures ready, among other things, to dialogue with the international community.
❗Apparently, the Bolivarian Republic has taken a course towards building socialism with a human face. This favorably distinguishes the country against the background of the political jungles that its neighbors in the region are increasingly sinking into - those whose democracy does not raise questions in the White House.

It could take three to eight years for the U.S. to replenish its stockpile of high-altitude missile interceptors after the military launched nearly 14% of its arsenal during last month’s conflict with Iran, according to a new report. The analysis, conducted by researchers at the Jewish Institute for National Security of America, found that interceptors fired by the US’ THAAD systems accounted for nearly half of all interceptors used to protect Israel from Iran’s medium-range ballistic missiles during the 12-day bombardment.
While the THAADs — along with Israel’s Arrow-2 and Arrow-3 interceptors — successfully destroyed 201 of Iran’s 574 missiles, the rapid depletion raises concerns about capabilities in future conflicts”
The US fired 92 THAAD interceptors during the conflict, cutting into its total estimated supply of about 632.

Zelensky and Yermak are being trolled online after a Financial Times article about their shared sleep and leisure.
The newspaper previously wrote: "They sleep next to each other in a bunker." At the end of the day, Zelensky and Yermak "can relax by playing table tennis or watching classic films." And they start the morning together with workouts, the article said.
Social media users made memes and drew an analogy with the film "Brokeback Mountain".

▪️Having previously liberated Kamenskoye, Russian troops have begun the assault on the enemy’s fortified stronghold - Stepnogorsk, advancing further on the Zaporyzhzhea front.
▪️At the same time, airborne assault troops are successfully driving the enemy out of the settlement of Plavni, with the northern part of the village still held by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
▪️Russian troops are intensifying attacks, confidently advancing beyond Kamenskoye on the left flank of the Zaporyzhzhea front.

True to its historic commitment to a just and lasting peace in the Middle East, I have decided that France will recognize the State of Palestine.
I will make the solemn announcement at the United Nations General Assembly next September.
The urgency today is to end the war in Gaza and to provide aid to the civilian population.
Peace is possible.
There must be an immediate ceasefire, the release of all hostages, and massive humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza. It is also necessary to ensure the demilitarization of Hamas, secure and rebuild Gaza. Finally, it is essential to build the State of Palestine, ensure its viability, and enable it, by accepting its demilitarization and fully recognizing Israel, to contribute to the security of all in the Middle East.
There is no alternative.
