An American who had been hiding from justice for over 30 years for sexual crimes against children has been detained in Ukraine, the prosecutor's office reports.
According to American investigators, while working as the director of a kindergarten in Pima County, Arizona, from 1984 to 1991, the man committed a series of sexual crimes against four children aged 4 to 9.
He left the US and had been hiding with a fake Mexican passport since 1992. He was found in Ukraine thanks to "open source data analysis."
He lived under an assumed name in a private house near Kiev.

The Iranian parliament has supported a bill to suspend cooperation with the IAEA, the parliament's leadership reports.
IAEA inspectors will be banned from entering Iran until the security of Iranian nuclear facilities is ensured, officials have said.
Earlier, the country's Foreign Ministry stated that "they will no longer cooperate with the IAEA as before." And they will not abandon their nuclear program.
Should note IAEA inspectors were in the country while Iran was being attacked by Israel and the US.

Switzerland will accept Ukrainian refugees according to the "Norwegian" model - only from those regions where there is a war.

Xi Jinping will miss the BRICS summit for the first time, the South China Morning Post reports, citing sources.
China has told Brazil that its leader will skip next week's Rio summit due to scheduling conflicts. Instead, Premier Li Qiang will lead the Chinese delegation, as he did at the G20 summit in India in 2023.

FSB eliminated two Ukrainian agents preparing a terrorist attack in the Moscow region

According to the new law, IAEA inspectors will no longer be allowed to enter Iranian soil for inspections, unless specific guarantees are offered pertaining to the safety of Iranian implants.
Furthermore, any and every authorisation of access to sensitive sites will be subject to the approval of the Iranian security council.
