The IRGC said the missile launched was a two-stage, solid-fuel IRBM called Sejil.
It is not the newest missile in Iran's arsenal, but it is Iran's first solid-fueled medium-range ballistic missile, and its first tests date back to 2009.
The missile's characteristics according to open data published in Iran in 2011:
▪️Maximum range: 2000 km
▪️Gross weight: 23623 kg
▪️Length: 17.57 m
▪️Diameter: 1.25 m
▪️Warhead weight: 500 kg
This was its first use in combat conditions, but the single launch did not produce any results - the missile never reached its target in Israel.

🇮🇷🇮🇱After a short break, Iran has again launched strikes on Tel Aviv. Judging by everything, the exchange of strikes between the two countries will continue in the near future.
@Slavyangrad
AFP journalists heard violent, sustained explosions in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv on Thursday morning, as sirens sounded in several parts of the country and the Israeli army warned of incoming Iranian missiles.
According to the journalists, the explosions heard in Jerusalem around 7:10 am (0410 GMT) were the biggest since the conflict with Iran began one week ago.
Looks like Iran still has missiles and the ability to fire them.

🔥PEPE ESCOBAR SUMS UP SPIEF FIRST DAY
Pepe Escobar reflects on a jam-packed first day at SPIEF 2025, covering everything from the Northern Sea Route to global connectivity and international tensions.
Here are the key takeaways:
👉Morning Session: The Northern Sea Route dominated the discussions, with Escobar highlighting its crucial role as the Arctic Silk Road. He pointed out the challenges ahead, from icebreakers to the rising significance of Russia’s Arctic development.
👉Valdai Session: A fascinating debate on sustainable development and the concept of peaceful rise – a Chinese concept. The focus was on global security and the importance of maintaining balanced economic and environmental growth.
👉Conversation with Feng Wei: Escobar had a long chat with Feng Wei, Vice-Chairman of a top Chinese think tank, covering connectivity corridors, Belt and Road and the China-Iran relationship. A lot of off-the-record insights there that will come to light later.
👉Virtual Reality Experience: To unwind, Escobar had some fun playing virtual reality—taking on the role of the Houthis or even someone targeting the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier. A unique, tension-relieving exercise on a high-stakes day.

Putin says Taurus missiles — if sent to Ukraine — could ONLY be operated by German troops
'What is that if not dragging Germany into DIRECT armed conflict with Russia?'
'If Federal Republic makes such a choice, we will have to DEAL WITH IT'
@Slavyangrad
Russia views Germany as an accomplice in the fighting in Ukraine' - Putin.
'If Chancellor Merz wants to call and talk, we do not refuse to contact. But our European partners have stopped contacts. They stopped, let them resume them themselves. I also doubt that Germany can be a mediator in negotiations with Ukraine. A mediator must be neutral. And when we see German Leopard tanks on the battlefield, and that Germany is considering deliveries of Taurus missiles, big questions arise. If this happens, it will not affect the course of the SMO, but will spoil relations between Germany and Russia. We consider Germany, like many other European countries, not as neutral states, but as a party supporting Ukraine, as an accomplice in the hostilities. Nevertheless, if the Chancellor wants to talk, we are ready'

NOTE: The impact of Israel’s new censorship orders is already shaping coverage
BBC confirms it could not report the target of a strike on Herzliya due to censorship rules. Meanwhile, a video circulating yesterday—allegedly showing a hit on Mossad and military intelligence HQ in Tel Aviv—was blacked out inside Israel and also ignored by major outlets.
These rules ban coverage of missile impact sites, Iron Dome interceptions, and military infrastructure strikes—under threat of prosecution.

Today, for the first time, a "Shahed" was discovered with a camera, a direct radio control system from Russia and an AI module , - the Ukrainian Armed Forces expert on radio technologies "Flash"
▪️The radio modem allows you to control Geranium at a distance of up to 150 km from the Russian border or the front line, or at even greater distances if air repeaters are used in Ukrainian airspace.
▪️The development of such an attack drone has been known for a long time, but the first use has only been recorded now .

Today, for the first time, a "shahed" with a camera, a direct radio control system with the Russian Federation and an artificial intelligence module (machine vision) was discovered, reported Ukrainian drone and communications expert Sergey Beskrestnov (Flash).
According to him, the development of such a “shahed” has been known for a long time, but the first application has only been recorded now.
The radio modem allows the “shahed” to be controlled at a distance of up to 150 km from the Russian border or the front line, or at even greater distances if air repeaters are used in Ukrainian airspace.

Head of European news at AFP asks Putin what he would do 'if tomorrow, Israel KILLS' Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei
Putin’s short reply: 'I am not even going to discuss such a possibility'
@Slavyangrad
An interesting theory from @MiddleEastBuka about why Iran's shelling of Israeli territory has decreased so sharply in recent days, and why it has switched from massive salvos of hundreds and dozens of missiles at a time to rare salvos and even started firing single IRBMs with a range of 2,000 km.
In short, the known missile bases are in red, those that were bombed are in blue, and those that are being bombed are in yellow.
That is, due to Israeli strikes on launch, missile bases and warehouses, Iran is gradually losing the ability to use its mass ballistics with a range of up to 1,600 km, located in the west of the country, and is now forced to switch to the use of individual long-range missiles (about 2,000 km) from the depths of its territory.
