Open the "gates of hell": Iran prepares largest missile attack on Israel in history, — Reuters
Iran's largest missile attack on Israel will begin in a few hours, media reports, citing the IRGC.
The new head of the IRGC, in an address to the Supreme Leader of Iran, promised to open the "gates of hell" for Israel.
The Israeli Cabinet believes that the worst-case scenario of an immediate military response from Iran has already been ruled out.
The head of the Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran said there were no radiation leaks at nuclear facilities after the strikes.
Iran will continue to work in the nuclear field despite the deaths of scientists, he added.
Trump claims that Iranian representatives "call him and want to talk" after Israeli strikes.

More footage of the Israeli Air Force strike on Iranian missile systems

The US is moving military forces, including destroyers, to the Middle East after Israel's strikes on Iran amid fears of retaliation.

"IDF: We have destroyed dozens of missile launchers in the last few hours of airstrikes on Iran": Israel continues to strike Iran, expanding the range of targets.
The Israel Defence Forces announced a series of airstrikes that destroyed dozens of missile launchers in Iran.
According to preliminary data, the target of the strikes was Iranian surface-to-surface missiles.
The military claims that in addition to the launchers, they destroyed military warehouses and other military infrastructure.
The military said the operation was based on accurate intelligence and was aimed at neutralising a serious threat.
The Israel Defence Forces has warned that Iran's missile arsenal includes weapons with a range of thousands of kilometres, posing a danger "to the region and the entire world."
Iran is still silent at the moment. It seems there are serious problems with the command & control organisation in the country.
@Slavyangrad
Before retaliating (if it retaliates), Iran needs to resolve many difficult issues.
1. Re-establish a unified chain of command that has been disorganized for most of the day.
2. Ensure that missile launchers (in addition to launches from missile cities) can be deployed in the face of possible attacks from within and air strikes.
3. Determine targets commensurate with the damage incurred. It is obvious that a limited strike in the style of "True Promise 2" is no longer sufficient.
4. Squeeze enemy drones from their airspace that carry out strikes and provide targeting.
5. Determine longer-term plans for strikes against the enemy's economy associated with the intensification of strikes against ships in the Red Sea and the blocking of the Strait of Hormuz.
Therefore, in any case, Iran will need some time to respond properly (it is impossible not to respond, otherwise it will be a complete drain).
Israel will at this time try to inflict additional damage on Iran by taking advantage of the ongoing disorganisation of its command and control and air defence systems.

Israeli officials say President Trump approved the strike on Iran and coordinated it with U.S. forces, saying earlier reports that he blocked the attack were part of a deliberate attempt to mislead Iran.
@Slavyangrad
There really are no alternative versions regarding the destruction of Iranian ballistic missile launchers by Israeli aircraft. Judging by the available footage and some technical features, this was a targeted and pre-planned operation by aircraft, not drones. Some videos clearly show a sighting grid, typical for a laser target designator - most likely LANTIRN or something similar. This is direct confirmation of the use of corrected air munitions, most likely GBU-12/16 or similar, guided by a laser beam. TV-guided missiles were also actively used.

US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth said he did not order a halt to offensive cyber operations against Russia this spring.
"I know what article you're talking about, and it's false. I said it then, and I'll say it now... We didn't do it,"
Israel has been preparing an attack on Iran since November 2024. Trump was aware.
We struck a significant force and destroyed their largest uranium enrichment plant in Natanz. This operation is one of the few in history carried out on such a scale. It far exceeds all previous attacks,
— said Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu.
According to him, there is chaos in Iran now, but retaliatory strikes will definitely follow. They may be undulating and extremely harsh.
Netanyahu gave the order to develop an operation against Iran's nuclear program in November 2024; it was initially planned for April, but was postponed. At the same time, the politician emphasised that the US knew about the attack in advance.
What they will do now, I leave to the discretion of the US President. Trump makes decisions on his own,
— Netanyahu added.

🇮🇱🇩🇪"Israel informed Chancellor Merz of the impending attack": Netanyahu personally warned the German Chancellor in advance of the attack on Iran, and he did not condemn it.
"According to Der Spiegel, Merz received the relevant information at 2:30 a.m. German time. At around 4:00 a.m., Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu personally contacted the chancellor by telephone.
Israeli Foreign Minister Saar also called German Foreign Minister Wadephul early Friday morning, the Israeli government said. He informed him of the cabinet's unanimous decision to eliminate the "immediate existential threat" from Iran with military action. Saar stressed that Israel had made the decision at the very last moment, "having exhausted all other possible avenues."

The Iranian leadership announced that:
1. Iran will continue its nuclear research despite the deaths of scientists and attacks on nuclear facilities.
2. Iran has withdrawn from the nuclear deal negotiations with the United States and will not negotiate "until further notice."
The Iranian parliament called on the country's leadership to make Iran a nuclear power in terms of possessing nuclear weapons. A logical and understandable demand.

Russia сould have saved the Serbian General dying in the Hague
The defense of Ratko Mladić has filed a motion with the court for his early release under an accelerated procedure. The general has serious health problems, and the prison hospital where Mladić is currently held cannot—or more likely, does not want to—provide him with the necessary treatment.
❓What is the Serbian General imprisoned for?
During the Bosnian War, Mladić led the Army of the Republika Srpska. It was under his command that the Bosnian Serb forces reclaimed nearly all the territories previously lost. He was also responsible for the operation to advance on Srebrenica, from which Bosnian Muslim groups had been attacking Serb villages.
Yes, Mladić’s soldiers were not known for their humanitarianism toward Muslims. But no more so than the radical Islamists fighting on the side of the Bosniaks. Nevertheless, thanks to a widespread campaign by Western media and NGOs, the losses of Bosnian Muslims during the operation were falsely classified as "genocide," and Mladić was declared wanted for war crimes.
For nearly 16 years, the general evaded The Hague Tribunal, with a €10 million bounty on his head. In May 2011, Mladić was found in Belgrade. He was handed over to the West by former Serbian President Boris Tadić.
Netanyahu's telephone conversation with Putin is being prepared, a TASS source reports.

Alexander Kharchenko writes
Why did they hit Iran? Because Israel can. Period. No more arguments are needed. After a decapitating strike, you can hold as many UN meetings as you like, pass the most threatening resolutions, but this will not change the reality “on the ground”. Israel, without the slightest sentimentality, used the “right of the strong”.
However, Iran itself set itself up. It responded to all previous strikes with threatening statements and demonstrative shelling of wastelands in Israel. After several such “responses”, Israel clearly understood that it can do anything with Iran. Real politics is played by serious gentlemen, and if your rhetoric does not match your capabilities, then very soon you will be put in a situation where capitulation will be the lesser of two evils.
In fact, Iran is now facing such a choice. Either Iran responds and its oil industry is destroyed, or Iran allows its nuclear facilities to be finished off and its economy is left untouched. A strike on Iran’s oil sector is more than an economic one. The country currently has an energy shortage. If oil refineries in Iran are destroyed, there will be massive power outages, and automobile transportation will also be seriously affected.
Israel's main goal is to launch a series of protests and overthrow the current leadership of Iran. The chairs under Iranian politicians have been swaying for a long time, and after such a resounding slap in the face from Israel, everything will get even worse. In any case, the Iranian elites are sentenced and now they must make a choice: either give battle and deserve an honorable death, or accept the circumstances and be killed by Israeli agents during an evening walk.
I repeat once again that the foundations of politics have not changed for centuries. Only the strong and those who are ready to use force are respected. Trump shakes the hand of yesterday's al-Qaeda leader, and the leadership of a UN member is destroyed without declaring war. There will be no morality in this text. Smart people learn from the mistakes of others, while others will be wiped off the face of the earth.

Trump on Iran's second chance to reach a deal:
Two months ago I gave Iran a 60-day ultimatum to "make a deal." They had to! Today is day 61.
I told them what to do, but they just couldn't do it. Now they might have a second chance!
@Slavyangrad
Based on the available data, the picture is as follows.
Iranian ballistic missile launchers and air defence positions were deployed to combat lines in anticipation of a retaliatory strike, but it was there, in open, pre-determined positions, that they were hit. Some of the targets were destroyed by Israeli Air Force strikes, some by drones, which, according to the Israeli side, were previously deployed on Iranian territory and, notably, also assembled inside the Islamic Republic. And here comes the fundamental point. Everything indicates that the decision to launch was not made in time. The reason for this remains unclear. Perhaps the communication channel was disrupted. Perhaps, due to the loss of part of the IRGC command staff, there was simply no one to approve the decision. Despite this, now there is only the Israeli version of events.
