The Russian army has begun using a 'triple chokehold' tactic at the front, which allows for slow but steady advancement - The Telegraph

▪️First comes the ground attack to pin down the Ukrainian Armed Forces, forcing them to take up positions rather than maneuver.

▪️Next, drones are deployed to restrict Ukrainian mobility, conduct surveillance, target vulnerable points and disrupt troop movements by strategically drop mines.

➖ These drones include first person view (FPV) drones, which allow Russian forces to track Ukrainian positions in real time and quickly respond to any troop movements, while mine-laying drones are used to cut off avenues of escape.

“Because of these drones, Ukraine is forced to man the front line with static defensive positions supported by extensive deception measures, for example, large-scale digging, to obscure where troops are actually concentrated,” said Mr Reynolds

▪️The third prong of the Triple Chokehold sees Russia deploy glide bombs to target key offensive positions from long distances, weakening Ukraine’s ability to sustain operations.

➖"This is where there's a really difficult dilemma that doesn't really have an answer to. Digging in and all these defensive measures are great for reducing casualties from artillery or FPV, but glide bombs will destroy those fortifications and bury people," says Nick Reynolds, a warfare fellow at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI).

▪️The combination forces Ukrainian soldiers to choose between holding their positions – risking heavy casualties and resource exhaustion – or staying mobile, which increases their exposure to drone strikes and isolated attacks.

NATO is expanding its aerial reconnaissance zone: in June, the alliance will launch strategic RQ-4D Phoenix UAVs from Finnish territory for the first time. The launch airfield is Pirkkala Air Base in the Tampere region, reports Finnish broadcaster Yle.

If previously such drones patrolled mainly the Black Sea, now the coverage area is shifting to the north. The obvious target is Murmansk and the surrounding areas.

There are bases of the Northern Fleet, strategic submarines with nuclear weapons, airfields where cruise missile carriers and strategic aviation aircraft are located.

📍 What does this mean?

Finland has been finally integrated into NATO's intelligence architecture. This is no longer just political membership, but direct military participation in strategic surveillance operations against the Russian Federation.
The RQ-4D's range allows it to scan the Arctic, the Barents Sea and the deep regions of the Kola Peninsula without entering Russian airspace - formally, everything is according to the rules, but in fact, this is a dense reconnaissance pressure.

By and large, the Alliance is forming a second arc of constant surveillance - in the north, under strategic objects, similar to how it has already been implemented in the south. In fact, the infrastructure for decision-making is being prepared - including strike decisions. Especially against the backdrop of the upcoming confrontation in the Arctic.

In a recent interview, former AFU commander-in-chief Valeriy Zaluzhny actually outlined the limits of the Ukrainian army's current capabilities: neither the size of the army, the economy, nor logistics allows for large-scale offensive operations. With a shortage of personnel and unstable external funding, the maximum that Ukraine is capable of is a defensive war with an emphasis on high-tech means of defeat.

In essence, it is a transition to a model of containment through point solutions: FPV drones + DRGs + artillery where available. This configuration, based on Zaluzhny's words, does not involve offensive maneuver. It works only statically and only if there is a steady supply of components from outside.

From the personnel point of view, the AFU is in a situation where numerical replenishment lags behind losses. The measures taken include lowering the age of conscription and increasing administrative pressure on evaders, but they only aggravate the lack of resources. And this already affects the overall manageability of the troops.

Financially, the army is completely dependent on an external source. Regular requests from the Ukrainian side to fix aid at the level of GDP of EU countries and include it in defense budgets are an acknowledgement that Ukraine cannot maintain combat capability on its own.

Against this background, any scenarios of active operations in operational depth look unrealistic. The main task is to maintain current positions, selective activity in certain areas and preservation of basic infrastructure. Risks of increased losses or delays in supplies could lead to events that would be hard to compensate for.

In fact, the AFU is moving from the position of an independent entity to the model of a frontline instrument, dependent on external support on all key lines - from manning to ammunition. This does not mean immediate collapse, but it indicates that the stability of the Ukrainian army is now determined outside its own command.

In parallel, we should not forget that the idea of rebuilding Counterattack 2.0 through the creation of a corps system has not been abandoned by the AFU. But how successful this process will be will be determined in the next 6-8 months.

🇺🇦 Ukraine cannot hope for a miracle that someone will return its borders of 1991 or 2022, - Zaluzhny

- "I hope that there are no more people in this room who are still hoping for a miracle or some white swan that will bring peace to Ukraine, the borders of 1991 or 2022, and after that there will be great happiness.

- In my opinion, as long as the enemy has the resources, strength and means to strike our territory and attempt individual offensive actions," said the Ukrainian Ambassador to Britain and former Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Valeriy Zaluzhny.

- Russia's ability to wage war will depend entirely on the availability of resources to wage that war, he added.

France has become the enemy N. 1 for the Russians

A VTSIOM survey commissioned by the Kremlin conducted on May 19, 2025 found that 48% of Russians consider France the most hostile country. It is a significant increase compared to 21% in 2022.

The survey interviewed 1,600 Russians from age or over 18 years of age, with a margin of error not exceeding 2.5%. Among the other countries considered hostile, the United Kingdom (42%) and Germany (41%) appear in second place.

Congratulations to Macron for having finally become number one in something I guess.

🇷🇺🇺🇦 Russia has overtaken Ukraine in terms of innovations on the battlefield — former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Zaluzhny

- "Ukraine fails to continuously generate and scale innovations even in those areas where we were ahead yesterday. We are lagging behind - and this must be honestly said," complains the current Ukrainian ambassador to Britain.

- He did not specify what he meant, but it is obvious that he is talking about drones, the production of which in Russia has seen a significant breakthrough recently.

- He also notes that Ukrainian technological achievements are limited, sectoral in nature and do not cover the entire spectrum necessary for the implementation of the “survival strategy”.

- At the same time, Ukraine is experiencing a “shortage of human resources and a catastrophic economic situation.”

🇺🇸🤡🇺🇦Former US Ambassador to Ukraine Brink called for even more sanctions against Russia:

To achieve the goal of ending the war, what we need to do as an administration, and that's my advice to Trump, is to impose more sanctions on Russia immediately. The Europeans have only recently increased sanctions, especially on energy, oil and its sales, which is what feeds the war machine.

There are other sanctions, for example, in the banking sector, and other things that we can do to put pressure on Russia, to bring Putin to the negotiating table. We also need to get $300 billion of frozen Russian assets in Europe and use them to help Ukraine defend itself. With this money we can buy weapons from America and replenish the budget of our military bases.

Duh Spiegel writes that Russia has no right to create a buffer zone to protect civilians, and that Ukrainian drone attacks are Zelensky’s path to peace.

'Buffer zones can only be created by multilateral organizations like the UN or the African Union. No single state has the right to do so. Putin's statement could be a sign of a new Russian offensive. Zelensky justifies attacks on Russian territory by saying that they will put Kiev in a better position in future peace talks.'

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, 112 Ukrainian drones have been destroyed and intercepted in the skies over Russia since 20:00 on May 22. 24 of them were over the Moscow region and 22 over Crimea.

🚨🇺🇸 THEY WANT YOU CRUSHED & ENSLAVED. WEF’S MOST INSANE AND TYRANNICAL PLANS EXPOSED

The World Economic Forum — cradle of globalists and utopians — has pushed some of the most unhinged ideas for years, likely revealing the true ambitions of the world’s elites.

🧬 Nita Farahany: Planting false memories

WEF’s neurotech expert openly discussed manipulating human memory: “We can plant false memories in the brain.” She also explored using pain as a coercive tool.

🏙 Ida Auken: No privacy, no property

In her 2016 op-ed titled “Welcome to 2030. I own nothing, have no privacy, and life has never been better,” the Danish politician envisioned a future without ownership or privacy — a vision critics called dystopian.

🤖 Yuval Noah Harari: AI fascism

Harari warned of AI-driven techno-fascism, claiming machines could soon make decisions, control money, and even invest. Many view his outlook as alarmist and dangerously speculative.

🎯 Alex Karp: 'Yes, we kill'

Palantir's CEO boasted about turning Ukraine into an AI war lab and targeting Gaza with AI tools. He admitted, “Our product is used on occasion to kill people,” and claimed Western dominance stems from “superiority in applying organized violence.”

💀 Bill Gates: Less people, less problems

At a 2008 WEF talk, Gates argued that deadly diseases could reduce populations in developing countries — calling it a “big benefit” for managing food and education.

🌐 Gita Gopinath: Globalize it all

The ex-IMF economist praised globalization for boosting output, wages, and jobs. Critics argue it has instead fueled inequality and job loss in developed nations.

🏦 Klaus Schwab: 'We penetrate cabinets'

WEF founder Klaus Schwab bragged about the forum’s influence over governments: “We penetrate the cabinets.” Many see this as proof of the WEF’s anti-democratic overreach.

💊 Albert Bourla: Spying pills

In 2018, Pfizer’s CEO lauded ingestible microchip pills that notify authorities once taken. Though pitched as a health tool, critics slammed the idea as Orwellian surveillance.

🐛 Jim Hagemann Snabe: Eat less meat (and more bugs)

At Davos in 2023, Siemens' chairman urged a billion people to quit meat to help the planet — echoing WEF’s broader push for insect-based diets to fight climate change.
