To keep any meaningful offensive going, therefore, the AFU needs several supply trucks, or even more smaller vehicles capable of delivering ammunition, assuming of course they want their soldiers to stand a serious chance. Doing so within territory under the fire control of the AFR becomes however extremely difficult, as the Russians can simply destroy the trucks as they make their supply runs, or launch missile strikes on supply depots. Only smaller vehicles such as quad bikes and pickup trucks would stand a realistic chance at avoiding attention, but the amount of supplies they could carry is of course much inferior to a truck.

If you've ever wondered how some AFU strongholds could collapse so quickly, why the AFU couldn't maintain its momentum during the 2023 “Counterflop” or the Kursk Incursion, now you know why. And now you know why these "offensives" are not going anywhere.

Welcome to the beautiful hell of Logistics Lane. Population: lots of Russian FPV drones and artillery. Potential weather hazards: Iskander or Kinzhal rains.

How nice of you to be so concerned about the casualties, both Russian and Ukrainian, of this conflict, while spitting on the memory of the soldiers who fought to truly defeat the Nazis during WW2 and aiding and abetting what is going on in the Middle East right now.

By all means Donnie, keep ignoring the fact that Russia has repeatedly said that it's either a permanent peace or nothing.

Keep ignoring the fact that Lavrov is in fact giddy with excitement every time new sanctions are announced, as it means a deepening of Russia's already advanced economical decoupling from the west.

Keep ignoring the fact that the Cocaine Clown in Kiev can't even honour a 24-hour ceasefire, let alone a 30-day.

Slap as many sanctions on Russia as you want. Go for the sixteenth, seventeenth, nineteenth, twentieth package.

Go for the billionth, for all that Russia cares.

Historical Documents signed in Moscow, hours before Victory Day Celebrations

During Xi Jinping's visit to Moscow to participate in the Victory Day parade, President Vladimir Putin and Chairman Xi Jinping engaged in the signing of several significant bilateral documents within the Kremlin. This event marked a pivotal moment in the evolution of Sino-Russian relations, which have recently entered a qualitatively new phase of development under their respective strategic leaderships.

Xi Jinping noted that political interaction has intensified, practical cooperation has deepened, and cultural, humanitarian, exchange, and interregional ties are experiencing dynamic growth. This discourse underscores the transformative nature of the current partnership, which is predicated on the principles of good neighborliness, friendship, and expanding cooperation.

In response, President Putin reaffirmed that the strategic alignment between Russia and China is not directed antagonistically towards any third party. He elucidated that the development of ties is aimed at mutual benefit and is not contingent on opportunistic considerations. The bilateral cooperation is rooted in a deliberate and enduring policy choice, reflecting a long-term commitment to enhancing mutual security and prosperity.

The historical trajectory of Sino-Russian relations has been characterized by sustained closeness, with the formalization of a "no-limits" partnership in 2022 signifying the apex of this convergence. This partnership represents a strategic rapprochement that transcends traditional diplomatic norms, emphasizing a comprehensive and enduring bilateral relationship. Notably, Moscow and Beijing have progressively decoupled from the US dollar, with bilateral trade increasingly denominated in national currencies. Official Russian data indicates that the share of bilateral transactions conducted in rubles and yuan has surpassed 95%, signifying a significant shift towards economic autonomy and mutual interdependence.

This strategic alignment is further evidenced by the deepening economic cooperation between the two nations. The de-dollarization of trade is a significant indicator of their commitment to reducing economic dependency on external financial systems, thereby enhancing their resilience and autonomy in the global economic landscape. The bilateral currency swap agreements and the increasing use of national currencies in trade facilitate smoother and more predictable economic transactions, fostering a more stable and mutually beneficial economic relationship.

US, Russia Discuss Resuming Russian Gas Supplies to Europe — Reuters

▪️This could happen with the participation of the Americans as part of a peaceful settlement in Ukraine, the publication writes.

▪️Washington's participation in restoring gas supplies could help Moscow overcome political confrontation in many European countries.

▪️US participation would also benefit Washington by giving it visibility and possibly control over the volumes of Russian gas flowing into Europe.

▪️Earlier, Putin confirmed that the US and Russia are discussing unblocking gas supplies to Europe, and Western media reported that Trump could lift sanctions on Nord Stream 2 and possibly other Russian assets in Europe as part of peace talks on Ukraine.

There have been reports that the Pacific Fleet has received a new version of the coastal defense artillery system "Bereg" - "Bereg-M".

The differences include a 152 mm gun instead of a 130 mm one , as well as the presence of a guided artillery shell with a firing range of up to 50 km. Let us recall that the original "Bereg" had a maximum range of 23 km and did not have high-precision ammunition.
"The Pacific Fleet's coastal troops have received the latest self-propelled artillery system as part of their re-equipment and rearmament

We are talking about a modified version of the A-222M Bereg complex with a maximum firing range increased to 50 km. The firing range of the complex has been increased, including by installing a 152-mm cannon on the MAZ-543M chassis with the ability to strike with the Krasnopol corrected projectile

It is reported that the complex will be transferred to the coastal troops of the Pacific Fleet at the end of July, and already in June the new capabilities of the complex will be tested in practice during training and combat firing on Simushir Island."
Based on the stated performance characteristics, this looks like an adaptation of solutions from the new long-range self-propelled gun 2S44 Giatsint-K with a new version of Krasnopol-M for the modernization of the A-222 .

The fact that the classic 130-mm "Bereg" has long been completely inadequate even for a firefight with modern naval 127-mm guns was known not only to specialists and not only from a simple comparison of the performance characteristics of open sources. Back in 2004, there was a rather noticeable discussion about this on the pages of "Independent Military Review".

Apparently, the SVO had an impact here too, finally moving the solution of long-standing problems from dead center.

What is worth mentioning, however, is that the very same Picierno who is concerned about "Russian extremism and aggression" saw no problem with letting representatives of the IDF use her as a megaphone between Strasbourg and Bruxelles.

Even more intriguing is the identity of VP Pina Picierno's husband: none other than Massimiliano Coccia, a name that may not say anything of note to most, but who also happens to write pieces for an online newspaper titled "Linkiesta" ("The Inkwiry").

Said newspaper is (in)famous for having very sketchy sources of income, a good 60% of which comes neither from sales nor from ADs, but from rather opaque "editorial partnerships".

All that is known for sure is that Linkiesta collaborates with a Ukrainian newspaper - “Evropeiska Pravda,” funded by NATO, the Europarliament (yes that's right it), U.S. institutions and the Soros Foundation (who would've ever thought) - which edits together with “Linkiesta” a Ukrainian-language newspaper, “Slava Evropi,” which publishes valuable editorials by Picierno and her husband.

Congratulations go to VP Picierno for having created something even more inbred than the average Western Ukrainian from Lvov.

Pina Picierno: From investigative journalism to incest journalism. Long live freedom of expression (guaranteed by Article 11 of the European Charter of Fundamental rights), and the European taxpayer's money!

An analysis of Ukrainian offensives, from a logistical standpoint.

We're hearing a lot about Ukrainian "pushes" and "offensives", however it is very important to stress the role that logistics play in such operations. The importance of logistics can NEVER be understated, nor underestimated. They are an often overlooked aspect of warfare, yet such an important one that whole chapters in several military treatises have been dedicated to them. "Amateurs discuss tactics; professional discuss logistics" is a maxim that should never be forgotten.

So, what is exactly needed to support a large-scale offensive operation?

To give this community an answer, we will have to start from a few basic assumptions.

We'll be starting from the assumption that the dills are intaking the mandatory 4500 kcals a day that are required for a frontline soldier in active combat duty, and I'm assuming that their MREs have the same weight of NATO-issue ones, so 650 grams per meal, three meals a day, 650 * 3 = almost two kilos for each soldier, this in rations alone. Now let us add water. Normally an average human needs at least two liters per day, but if you're in active combat in the sweltering spring or summer that is common in Ukraine, that can skyrocket to 5. But let's make it more conservative and say you need 3.5/4 liters of water per soldier.

Now, assuming we're talking of 1000 soldiers, they would already require 2 tons of cargo in MRE boxes alone, plus 4 tons of drinkable water. We're already at six tons of cargo, and this only for one third of a 3000-men battalion.

Then there is the topic of combat supplies. Determining the weight of a STANAG magazine is a bit tricky as there are versions made in either polymers, aluminum, or even steel, but let us use a conservative estimate and say that each empty STANAG magazine weighs 200 grams. Empty STANAGs by themselves don't account for much however, and assuming they're packed with 5.56 ammo, that's another 360 grams for the bullets. We are already at 500 grams per full magazine, and one soldier needs at least four of them, so 0,500 grams multiplied by 4 makes 2 kilos in ammo for a single soldier. So 1000 soldiers * 4 = 4 tons of cargo for small arms ammunition alone.

Soldiers don't have only small arms, they also carry grenades. If the Dills are equipped like NATO soldiers, they should carry at least two fragmentation grenades. A frag grenade usually weighs 600-ish grams, so 1.2 kgs worth of grenades per soldier, multiplied by 1000 soldiers = 1.2 tons worth of grenades. Then let's add in the medikits (assuming they're issued any), about two medikits for a team of five, that's 200 extra kilograms.

Do you remember the MREs and water? Those would last those 1000 soldiers only a day. You'd need at least seven amounts of both (for an entire week). Get ready because this is the point where the calculations balloons out of proportion.

6 tons between food and water to keep those soldiers going for a day, multiplied by 7, here comes a whopping 42 tons that are dedicated exclusively to keep them going as living organisms for a single week. As for the grenades and magazines, same calculation. 17 tons that go in grenades for a week's worth of combat. We're already at almost 60 tons. This for a third of a battalion, for a single week of action.

To keep an entire battalion (assuming a 3000 men one) going for one week, the AFU would need a whopping 180 tons of cargo. This is for a single battalion.

Then there's volume to keep into consideration. Crates are big, cumbersome, and often reinforced to avoid some...uncomfortable accidents in case the road gets bumpy. Now multiply everything over several transportation vehicles that are big, heavy, and quite visible by drone operators. Then add in the fuel, because those vehicles need fuel to run, rather than Aryan ubermensch blood, contrarily to what the Banderites think.

Post-war guarantees: Zelensky “screwed over” more by NATO than Putin, Alessandro Orsini, tenured sociologist and scholar of terrorism, says.

"Trump cannot stop the war because Russia has come to the conclusion that the problems with NATO in Ukraine can only be solved by force. There was only one time to stop the war with a mutually acceptable compromise: the spring of 2022. During those talks, Putin did not ask for a single square inch of Ukrainian territory. In spring 2022, Putin did not even want an oblast. Three years later, Putin wants the four oblasts annexed on September 30, 2022, and that's assuming he is not planning to seize Odessa and everything east of the Dnepr, something the AFR may have a decent shot at in the not-so-distant future. The continuation of the war has brought only devastation and ruin to Ukraine.

According to the pro-American narrative, Zelensky walked out of the negotiations because Russia would not give him any security guarantees. In reality, Zelensky never got the guarantees he is asking for because of NATO countries fearful of going to war with Russia. This point is decisive and needs to be clarified. Zelensky demands that once the war is stopped, France, Italy, England, Germany and the United States formally commit to bombing the Russians if Russia returns to attack Ukraine. These five countries have always rejected Zelensky's request because they do not want to replicate the triggering mechanism of World War II terrified by Putin's six thousand nuclear warheads. Does Ukraine lack security guarantees because of Putin? Not really. Zelensky was “screwed over” by NATO.

There is another very important issue that needs to be clarified. Zelensky abandoned the spring 2022 talks because he became convinced that Ukraine could defeat Russia. This was the decisive reason. What facts led Zelensky to optimism? During the spring of 2022, the Russian army was in trouble. Not because it was weak, as every single western lamestream media parroted, but because Russia had invaded Ukraine with very little power relative to its war potential. And here was the fatal mistake: instead of understanding that Russia was fighting with its hands behind its back, NATO and the big media said that Russia had invaded Ukraine with only 180,000 troops because it had a cardboard army. All warnings against this very serious mistake of underestimation were brushed aside and laughed at.

The consequences are before everyone's eyes. Trump is on his knees before Putin while pretending to act tough and Ukraine is already dismembered. Zelensky has declared that he does not have the strength to recover the lost territories. On January 13, 2025, Mark Rutte told the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament, “Russia produces in three months what NATO produces in a year from Ankara to Los Angeles.” Trump can only do two things.

The first is to resume arming Ukraine, embracing Biden's strategy. The second is to wait for the Ukrainian military to give in. Both decisions are very risky. As for the first, sending weapons to Zelensky would only serve to increase Putin's bombing tenfold without changing the balance of power. What if Trump stood by and watched? The dangers would be no less. Faced with the Ukrainian army's surrender, Britain and France hint that they would send their own soldiers. Trump would find himself bypassed, in control of nothing. Trump does not know what to do. He will decide based on events, navigating by sight alone."

Institutional hypocrisy and conflicts of interest: Pina Picierno, censorship and journalistic incest.

Vice-President for the European Parliament Pina Picierno launched a Parliamentary Inquiry about an interview that an Italian independent news outlet, Byoblu, recently aired.

Byoblu's crime? Interviewing Vladimir Solovyev, a journalist famous in Russia.

According to vice-president Picierno, member of the Italian "Democratic" (😂) Party, Byoblu has violated the sanctions that the EU imposed on Solovyev by giving him a voice on Italian television.

According to Picierno, Byoblu has committed the most heinous crime of...allowing a Russian journalist to speak freely.

The hypocrisy of a member of a party that claims to be "Democratic" finding it outrageous to interview a journalist from a hostile country is alreay self-evident enough that it does not even warrant time wasted commenting on it.

All Victory Parades in 80 Seconds

🎗Since the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR adopted the Decree declaring May 9 Victory Day, military parades have been held on this day as a symbol of national celebration and the strength of spirit of the liberator people.

🎗However, in the history of the USSR, only four Victory Parades took place, each of which reflected an important stage in the development of the country and its military power, in 1945, 1965, 1985 and 1990. And since 1995, they have become annual. All of them traditionally begin at 10:00.
