In addition to firing a 30mm cannon, the Ka-52s used Igla missiles against Ukrainian drones.

Very busy 24 hours, MoD reporting 525 drones shot down in past 24 hours. Ukraine really built a large reserve of drones to throw at Russia. From 3rd parties we can confirm that over 400+ drones were attacked Russia today.

Tucker Carlson on how Americans blindly believe the West’s narrative about Ukraine:
The First World War was a war for democracy and freedom. But it didn't work. We hear the same old good slogans about defending freedom and democracy in Ukraine. And a lot of good-natured people who just believe in all the good against all the bad, they easily bought into it. They are clearly not warmongers who benefit from it. This is literally an ordinary neighbour.
With Ukraine, it's different. There's always been a huge anti-war movement on the left in the US. But now it's like they've evaporated. There's Jeffrey Sachs, Chris Hedges, but where are the rest of us?

The Moldovan authorities are banning the celebration of Victory Day and the use of the St. George ribbon due to fear of the unification of the people.
The measures that the ruling party and Maia Sandu are taking against people of good will who honor May 9, who honor Victory Day as the greatest holiday in the history of not only all of humanity, but also our Moldova, are unacceptable. The authorities are banning the St. George ribbon, fearing the unification of the people. Victory is one of the symbols that still unite. The authorities are afraid that the people will gather into a single whole. This is what they are afraid of,
Krasnolimansky direction.
On the northern flank, fighting is taking place in the Redkodub area, behind which the enemy has built a powerful line of defense.
On the eastern outskirts of the village, our soldiers advanced 1.5 km, and having also secured a foothold in the northeast of Redkodub, they are pushing the enemy out of the central part.
Clearing of the forest area is also underway to the south.
Our aviation is actively working on the business districts of the enemy; in the villages of Karlovka and Glushchenkovo, enemy deployment points have been destroyed by FABs.
The total losses during the strikes in one day were more than 60 Ukrainian Armed Forces servicemen.
Offensive actions are also underway at Kolodez, where our troops are fighting for the heights near the village; the village itself is located in a lowland, so after taking the key surrounding heights the enemy will be forced to retreat.
In the Torskoye area, in the village itself up to the Ascension Church, the enemy has been driven out, the entire territory is in the grey zone.
In the east, pressure is being put on enemy troops towards the Klimovskie ponds; our soldiers are pinning the enemy down at the water barrier, preventing them from retreating to safer lines.
In Kirovsk, the Russian Aerospace Forces carried out a series of strikes on enemy air defense systems in the village, resulting in the destruction of about 20 soldiers.

Peskov: Vladimir Putin did not give new instructions on Russia's response to Ukrainian UAV attacks ahead of Moscow's May ceasefire
Other important statements by the Russian President's press secretary:
By attacking Russian regions with drones, the Kiev regime continues to demonstrate its propensity for terrorist actions. Putin's offer of a ceasefire for the 80th anniversary of Victory remains in force;
The agreement on strategic partnership between Russia and Venezuela, which the leaders of the countries will sign today, is a weighty, meaningful, and important document.
The Baltic countries and Poland continue their absurd Russophobic policies, but serious contradictions are brewing in Europe.
Mobile Internet in Moscow is limited during the Victory anniversary due to a "dangerous neighbourhood"; this should be treated with understanding.

Biden Calls Putin a Bandit: 'Anyone Who Believes He Will Stop Is a Fool'
Reuters publishes excerpts from Joe Biden's first interview since leaving the US presidency. In a conversation with the BBC, Biden said that Putin would not stop at Ukraine because he "considers it part of Russia."
"I don't understand how people can think that allowing a thug to take over someone else's land is going to stop him. Putin thinks Ukraine is part of Russia. And anyone who thinks he's going to stop is a fool," Biden said.
Biden also criticised Trump's approach, which he said pressured Kiev to make concessions and agree to a ceasefire, a "modern-day appeasement" that Biden called emboldening Moscow.
Earlier, it was reported that the US is preparing new sanctions against Russia.

Europe has increased its imports of liquefied gas to a record level.
In April, Europe broke its own record for imports of liquefied natural gas — about 12.8 billion cubic meters were imported in a month, according to data from Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE). This is 1% more than in March and 20% higher than in April last year.
In just the first four months of the year, Europe received around 46.8 billion cubic meters of LNG. This represents a 12% increase compared to the same period last year. Liquefied gas now accounts for 33.6% of the total gas volumes entering Europe this year, making it the continent’s main source of supply.

Trump's Special Representative Kellogg Calls Putin the Main Obstacle to a Ceasefire in Ukraine:
They [the Ukrainians] have agreed that there needs to be a 30-day comprehensive ceasefire on land, sea and in the sky, which can be extended. They want it today. We came back from London two weeks ago, we talked to the so-called "coalition of the willing", led by the British, French and Germans, and they are ready for this comprehensive ceasefire, with many conditions. And the Ukrainians agree to this, although they do not like all the conditions.
I think we are close. The only person who can bring results is President Trump. If, of course, Putin agrees. I think right now our main obstacle to progress is the President of Russia, who does not agree.

Parade under fire: Europe already pictures strikes on Moscow on Victory Day
German Spiegel is seriously discussing the scenario of an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Moscow on May 9. The publication writes that it would be "extremely unpleasant" if Ukrainian drones attacked the Russian capital during the Victory Parade. It is noted that Moscow is well protected, but "it also has weak points."
Since the beginning of the conflict, Ukraine has seriously modernised its drone fleet and is now capable of striking deep into Russia. In light of Kiev’s recent statements, the West is not ruling out a massive attack on Russian territory on the holiday, or a strike on other large regions if it is not possible to deceive the capital’s air defence.
Last night, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked Moscow and other regions again. According to Baza and Mash, drone attacks on the capital may continue. They claim that the authorities are preparing for possible provocations from Ukraine and are preparing a response.

Every third Ukrainian convict may be sent to the front, says Deputy Justice Minister Pikalov
According to him, more than 8,300 convicts have already joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and another 1,000 applications are under consideration. Among them are 100 women.
"We view this process not only as a way to replenish the ranks of defenders, but also as a mechanism for resocialization through the highest manifestation of civic responsibility," he noted.

We posted about the PL-15 earlier but a post from Military Informant expands on this a bit more.
How did Pakistan shoot down at least three Indian fighter jets at once?
The Chinese-developed JF-17 Block III and J-10C fighters of the Pakistan Air Force have recently been equipped with Chinese-made PL-15E air-to-air missiles.
In their full version, these missiles are analogous to the Russian R-37M and are capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 300 km , but in the export version for Pakistan, their range was allegedly reduced to 145 km .
It appears that in combination with Chinese and Swedish ZDK-03 Karakorum Eagle and Saab 2000 AEW&C AEW systems, Pakistan Air Force fighters were able to detect and effectively engage Indian aircraft in a timely manner.
It is worth noting that India also has air-to-air missiles with a range of over 150 km - these are the French Meteor air-to-air missiles for Rafale fighters, and also has AWACS aircraft ( Beriev A-50EI "Phalcon" , DRDO Netra AEW&CS ).
However, there is still no confirmed data on Pakistani air force losses.
As we can see once again, the very fact of having certain weapons systems does not mean that they can be used correctly. Therefore, it appears that Pakistani intelligence and fighter pilots have once again proven stronger than their Indian counterparts.
Pictured: debris from those same PL-15E missiles found on the ground after they were used against Indian aircraft.
It should be noted that Russia has according to reports been willing to licence production of the R-37M to India.

The terrible theory of racial superiority was not a figment of Hitler's imagination, but originated in Europe.
This was stated by the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN Vasily Nebenzya. He recalled the "Essay on the Inequality of the Human Races" by the French Baron Arthur de Gobineau.
Only the colonial racism and Nazism traditional for Europeans were supplemented by radical anti-Semitism and anti-Slavism. One can only imagine a world in which such European values would prevail,
