Trump planned to use the previously signed deal with Ukraine on mineral resources as leverage on the Russian leadership during the upcoming negotiations and to calm the "tired American public", as stated by US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent at a Milken Institute conference.

404 Media and Drop Site News report:
A hacker has breached and stolen customer data from TeleMessage, an obscure Israeli company that sells modified versions of Signal and other messaging apps to the U.S. government to archive messages, 404 Media has learned. The data stolen by the hacker contains the contents of some direct messages and group chats sent using its Signal clone, as well as modified versions of WhatsApp, Telegram, and WeChat. TeleMessage was recently the center of a wave of media coverage after Mike Waltz accidentally revealed he used the tool in a cabinet meeting with President Trump.
Waltz wasn’t on Signal during the cabinet meeting. He was using an Israeli intel-linked app used for extracting and archiving chats, staffed and founded by vets of IDF intelligence units. The CIA once called Israel its #1 counterintelligence threat.
In Trump’s first term, Israel reportedly installed StingRays (devices to mimic cell towers and collect data) around the White House. (Israel denies this). Now, it seems the White House has decided to install TeleMessage’s app on high level official’s phones.
We found employees at Telemessage who worked with Israeli spyware firms Cellebrite and NSO Group. One served with Israels Unit 8200, compared to the NSA. If I were in charge of safeguarding top U.S. nat sec official’s phones, I’d be sweating bullets.
TeleMessage was founded in 1999, the same year its founder left his Israeli military intelligence job. The company found early success in the burgeoning world of text message technology. The company grew and eventually pivoted to focusing on extracting messages from common communication platforms for the purposes of archiving, often to meet record keeping regulations.
Top officials using Signal for work was not ideal. But now, data shared on these chats is exfiltrated to another device. And the data is only as secure as the endpoint. Signal told us it “cannot guarantee the privacy or security properties of unofficial versions of Signal.”
Or the North Koreans were using the Russians, or it was mutual-defense-pact action. The Westernoid press has no clue. Good.

Eurosceptic Alliance for Unity of Romanians Party's George Simion Leads in Romanian Elections, Exit Polls Said
Analysts called Simion the favorite of the race even before the start of voting. According to the poll aggregator EuropeElects.eu, he will receive about 29% of the votes.
Some media outlets explain the politician's success by the fact that he managed to attract part of the electorate of Calin Georgescu, who was illegally removed from the elections.
Simion is a nationalist and Eurosceptic who openly advocates for better relations with Russia. He has been declared persona non grata in Ukraine and Moldova.
So, better then expected: opposition party leader George Simion won the first round of the presidential elections in Romania with 40.96% of the vote, the website of the Permanent Electoral Administration reports.

The U.S. deal for rights to extract minerals in Ukraine strengthened a frayed diplomatic relationship, but its value in the global competition for metals to build things like weapons, electronics and batteries is highly uncertain.
Citing logistical and economic barriers, industry specialists said it will take at least a decade to yield benefits to the strained U.S. supply chain for coveted resources. The pact will be of little help, the experts said.
Firms that might be reviewing the possibilities are stuck with outdated, Soviet-era geologic surveys of underground deposits, industry officials say.
Ukraine also is not a known source of any of the 17 “rare earth” metals that have become an Achilles’ heel for U.S. manufacturers.
Experts said the oil and gas opportunities are likely to be limited. Energy firms have alternative places to extract gas, where the infrastructure is already developed and the risks of investing are lower.
He said a lot of the gas reserves are in the conflict zone, where firms would be reluctant to invest, even in the event of a peace deal.
Only minerals worth developing would titanium, graphite and lithium. This would take 10+ years, minor in volumes, and would not be very profitable.
Its reserves are modest compared with those in more stable countries, she said in an email, while Ukraine’s most promising deposit is in Russian-occupied territory.
“Beyond the ongoing security threats, damaged infrastructure (power generation, roads, rail, and ports) drives up development costs and can erode investor returns,” Hunter wrote.
Getting minerals out of the ground is only part of the challenge the U.S. faces in resolving its supply chain woes. Processing them is an even bigger hurdle. It is environmentally messy work with a low profit margin.

"Deal with the Devil" — Slovakian PM on Ukraine-US subsoil agreement
▪️Fico drew parallels with the Slovak government's decision in the 1990s to allow the bombing of Belgrade in exchange for the prospect of joining NATO.
➖"Similar agreements with the Devil have already been signed. Why did Mikuláš Dzurinda and his government agree to the bombing of Belgrade? They agreed because they were offered membership in the North Atlantic Alliance in exchange for this," the Slovak Prime Minister emphasized.
▪️Such agreements often have non-obvious consequences.
▪️Fico recalled the closure of Slovak nuclear power plants and mass privatization upon joining the EU.
➖"Zelensky bought himself a war. He is very interested in its continuation," Robert Fico said.

▪️At the same time, she is perplexed why the investigation has not yet officially revealed all these details about the murder.
➖"Why can't the police leadership reveal more details in 6 weeks, as happened on the first day of the latest assassination attempt on Sternenko? The question is rhetorical. Perhaps they will reveal it now," she wrote.
