Commercial Flights Are Experiencing 'Unthinkable' GPS Attacks
A Gulfstream G650 experienced full nav failure
A Boeing 777 experienced a 30 minute GPS spoofing encounter in the Cairo FIR (Flight Information Region)
An Embraer Legacy 650 enroute from Europe to Dubai had navigation failure.
New "spoofing" attacks caused total navigation failure have occurred in the Middle East for months, which is "highly significant" for airline safety. Spoofing is when a counterfeit radio signal is transmitted to a receiver antenna to counteract and override a legitimate GPS satellite signal.
According to Ops Group the activity is centered in 3 areas:Baghdad, Cairo and TelAviv.
In the present attacks even its back up system gets compromised. Making the aircraft virtually blind.The back up for the GPS is something called the Inertial Reference System or IRS.
Israel is scrambling GPS signals over most of its northern airspace to protect itself from Hezbollah missile strikes.

An AC-130J was observed over Iraq, airborne and holding station today.

It is believed to be able to penetrate up to 30 m of Earth or 6 meters of concrete. Additionally it also creates strong shock waves that could trigger collapses in Subterranean structures.
As per some media reports Israel has placed orders for GBU-72 from the US.
- Another means is to use Fuel air explosives (FAE). However even this can result in catastrophic collateral damage.

- the last way to deal with the tunnels is fight block by block. Destroying every entrance and rendering the tunnels unusable. This will be a time consuming and difficult process, allowing the advance to be delayed.

The Saudi leg of Anthony Blinken Secretary of State US, visit didn’t go as per plan.
