The article reveals an apparent leaked minutes document that suggests that the trade association, "BIO", held a meeting in April to work to undo the confirmation of Kennedy by the duly elected US Senate as well as a plan to use conservative groups to delegitimize Sec. Kennedy and MAHA within the MAGA movement. They view Sen. Cassidy as key advocate for this project and have earmarked two million dollars for this lobbying effort.

Monoclonal antibodies versus vaccines:
Monoclonal antibodies are laboratory-made proteins that mimic the immune system’s ability to fight harmful pathogens, such as viruses or bacteria. They provide immediate, passive immunity by directly binding to specific targets, like a virus, and neutralizing them. This offers quick, short-term protection or treatment. Monoclonal antibody products used for treatment or prevention. They do not contain adjuvants. Second generation monoclonal antibodies stay in circulation for about six months, and provide longer lasting effects.
Their effects are temporary. Once the monoclonal antibodies are broken down and cleared from the body, the protection fades. They do not “teach” the immune system to recognize or remember the threat for the future.
Vaccines are preparations (often containing a piece of a virus, an inactivated virus, or a weakened live virus) that stimulate the immune system to mount a response. Vaccines provide active immunity by “training” the immune system to recognize and remember a pathogen.
Vaccines are thought to provide long-lasting protection, because they create immune memory, although this isn't always the case
To conclude:
Monoclonal antibodies act quickly but only offer temporary protection or treatment, without teaching the immune system to remember the threat. Unlike vaccines, monoclonal antibodies do not activate the immune system, reducing risks of autoimmune or inflammatory responses.
Vaccines are intended to build lasting immunity - or at least that is the idea...

"...Sanders’ pen pal from across the aisle, Bill Cassidy, has also been a staunch opponent of Kennedy’s efforts at reform. This may be explained by the fact that once Cassidy assumed the role of chairman of the HELP committee in 2023, he rapidly received a windfall of Pharma contributions, as evidenced by the April 2023 STAT news article entitled, “Pharma executives shower Bill Cassidy with Campaign Cash.” According to Open Secrets, Cassidy received over $290,000 from pharmaceutical Political Action Committees in 2023-4.
While Cassidy was harshly critical of Kennedy during the Senate confirmation, and while he insisted on Kennedy having monthly meetings with him once confirmed, Cassidy ultimately voted in favor of Kennedy to lead HHS. However, in other vital respects, Cassidy has continued to obstruct Kennedy’s work.
Cassidy teamed with another Republican Senator on the HELP committee, Susan Collins of Maine, to effectively block Trump and Kennedy’s nominee for CDC Director, former Congressman David Weldon, from even coming before the committee. (Weldon has deep knowledge of the problems surrounding the vaccine approval process.) Ultimately, Weldon’s nomination was withdrawn on March 13.
Thanks to Cassidy, Trump’s replacement nominee to lead CDC, Susan Monarez, still awaits confirmation hearings, which according to the HELP website, are scheduled for June 25, 2025, more than 3 months after Cassidy forced the Weldon nomination to be pulled, and ironically on the same day as the upcoming and much-anticipated ACIP meetings. Multiple other key HHS positions remain unfilled to date due to similar Senate delays in the confirmation process."

Public service announcement- I want to be clear on this point. - The current position of the CDC is basically that if an adverse event after the mRNA products is not in their databases, then it did not happen. And if the frequency of the reporting does not occur within the necessary time window AND does not meet their statistical cut off criteria for significance, then it is not vaccine associated. It does not matter to them what has been seen elsewhere in the world or in other databases. And by the way, no second guessing or peer review of their analyses or conclusions are allowed.

Dr. Kulldorff @MartinKulldorf challenges the status quo at ACIP, demanding a deep dive into the overloaded childhood vaccine schedule and questioning routine newborn hepatitis B shots. Is it time to rethink vaccine policies for our kids?
At a recent ACIP meeting, Dr. Martin Kulldorff outlined the vital role of work groups in shaping vaccine policy. Comprising experts nationwide, these groups analyze vaccines, diseases, and safety, guiding ACIP recommendations.
Eleven groups are currently studying chikungunya, COVID-19, HPV, RSV, and more. Kulldorff stressed capturing both majority and minority views to ensure robust decisions, with new work groups soon to be formed.
Kulldorff called for a new work group to evaluate the cumulative impact of the childhood and adolescent vaccine schedules, which surpass those in many developed nations.
Citing a National Academy of Medicine report, he urged research on vaccine interactions, ingredient loads, and timing. Another work group will review vaccines not reassessed in over seven years, reinstating a neglected ACIP practice.
Key topics include the universal hepatitis B vaccine at birth, which Kulldorff questioned for newborns of hepatitis B-negative mothers, given its primary transmission modes.
The MMRV vaccine, linked to febrile seizures, may also be reconsidered, as most pediatricians favor separate MMR and varicella shots. Alternative MMR vaccines and religious objections were also flagged for review.
Kulldorff emphasized evidence-based medicine, urging collaboration with CDC scientists to optimize public health. The ACIP meeting underscored a commitment to rigorous science and open dialogue to refine vaccine policies for individual and societal benefit.
