The download speed on the system directly connected to the fiber optic modem is 300 Mbps, while users who access the internet through this connection and the pfSense server have a maximum download speed of only 20 Mbps. Please advise on what could be causing this issue.
The version 2.7.2 has a challenge with captive portal service. i encountered related problem few months ago. untill i decided to use 2.7.0 that actually work smoothly

If you didn't made any changes on system-》routing, the gw monitor is trying to ping your router gw and if you typed another IP in "monitor IP" in any case is not reacheable, them if you tested and works, them go and disable to monitor the gw, Will go green and now test again, my 2 cents.

hey folks, just discovered a thing here, don't know if its a bug or that ill have to enable some option. I'm upgrading my server and I had to use my backup router for a few devices that were using the internet. Upon powering on my server (which has pfsense on a VM with passthrough) I noticed that i could not access the devices that were connected to it. I did some troubleshooting and arrived at the gateways page and there was no gateway (because the WAN cable wasnt connected) upon pluggin in my WAN i noticed that I could connect to my devices on my LAN .. is there any way I keep my connection to my LAN devices without having to have the WAN plugged in?

You need to block domain . Ip will block will not help as there are multiple IP

Hi everyone, I'm new here testing pfsense 2.7.2
I wanted to setup a captive portal for my wifi Access Point but currently facing some issues with redirecting users to the login page, also when users are redirected to the login page it is always showing the LAN ip in this form (http://192.168.x.x:8002/index.php?zone=myzone) where 192.168.x.x is the LAN ip, and accessing (http://myhostname.mydomain.local:8002/index.php?zone=myzone) always redirect to the LAN ip form URL http://192.168.x.x:8002/index.php?zone=myzone
Sometime users are just "Connected, no internet" and no portal page or sign in form proposed by pfsense even if they get correct DNS and IP from DHCP, sometimes it tries to open the portal login page but give "503 service temporarily unavailable"
I tried to enable the HTTPS Protocol in captive portal settings but apparently it needs a valid certificates I think and since I don't own a domain name from internet I don't know if it is possible for an internal domain
