Well... Umm, you don't.
You go to diagnostics - > sockets
That should display all active connections and ports in pfsense. Then you have to deduce the free ones from that information
A more reliable method is to configure your FTP server to use Passive Mode with a defined port range and set corresponding port forwarding rules in pfSense. This setup is generally more firewall-friendly and secure.
I'm not sure why or how you'd go about with active mode, sorry. I'd think that'd be insecure.
How can I forward port 21 for IIS service in pfsense 2.7.2 without using Passive Mode?

Or by dns, but you can’t easily block things as categorically as that as your probably hoping
The company develops the playbook(s) and configs they need, and then roll them all out at once.
Having a single technician config each system or VM individually is unrealistic.
So by this logic deployment of pfSense isn’t any easier or harder to do than any other deployable OS

Version snort I downloaded the PF version 4 from the People of May in the Bod Play repository. When I download the rolls from the site, they are only activated on the site because they are version 3. Has the roll list been updated for version 4? I have version 4 inside.

You clearly haven’t heard of an ansible playbook or a terraform deployment.
Modern deployments of pfSense (and others) are automated and pre-configured in ‘playbooks’ which set up a companies virtual infrastructure
Ubuntu consolé and you need setup all the fw rules manually, pfsense all with GUI, you don't need to worry about fw rules most of the time.
