BREAKING: Bloatware is coming to Nothing smartphones
While announcing the new Nothing OS 4.0 Open beta for Phone 3a series, Nothing Co-founder Akis said that:
Moving forward, on select non-flagship devices, we’ll start including a carefully considered selection of third-party partner apps and services that don’t disrupt the Nothing OS experience you love. These are apps most people install on day one, like Instagram.
Nothing Phone 3 is selling in India at Rs. 27,000 (~ 300$) down from almost 900$ launch price.
Phone 3 lost like 67% in just 4 months officially lmfao and people who bought it 4 months earlier paid like 600$ XDDDDDDD
My condolences to all those who get scammed and this is what you get for buying a Nothing Phone at launch price and believing Carl Pei words wherein claimed "we won't decrease the price 🗣🗣🗣"
Took just 4 months to decrease its value by 67%. None of modern smartphone as lost its value this fast officially!

Nothing Phone 3 price in India further deteriorates due to less sales. It is officially available to purchase for Rs.40,000 (~450$) without using any bank offer or any exchange offer.
Phone 3 was launched in July for Rs.85,000 (~950$) and when the sale started on 23rd September, it came down to Rs. 50,000 (~575$) and now after 1 week of sale, the price is further decreased by Rs.10,000 (~120$)
Never seen a modern flagship smartphone lose 50% value officially in 3 months and all those who exchanged their old devices to get it at this price have been scammed successfully 🥀

A nothing user shared his experience about using Nothing Phone 3a Pro on reddit, wherein, he complained about the issues he faced with the camera and how the glyph interface is just a gimmick for him.
Instead of helping him, Nothing moderators on reddit deleted his thread arguing he was "impolite"

Nothing Phone 2a Bootloader Exploit Working
A new exploit called Fenrir targets the Nothing Phone 2a, CMF Phone 1 & other MediaTek-powered devices. It takes advantage of a flaw in how the phone starts up, allowing full control over the device before Android even loads. Even after waiting for 1 month, Nothing ignored the developer's bootloader vulnerability report affecting CMF Phone 1 and Phone 2a and thus developer made it exploit public.
When you power on your phone, it goes through several steps to make sure everything is secure and untampered. This is called the secure boot chain. Each of these steps is trusted only if the previous one verifies it.
1. BootROM – The first code built into the chip. It loads the next part.
2. Preloader – Loads the next component, called bl2_ext, and normally checks it.
3. bl2_ext – This runs at the highest privilege level (EL3) and is supposed to check everything else.
4. TEE (Trusted Execution Environment) – Handles secure operations like fingerprint data and encryption.
5. GenieZone – A MediaTek component that manages access to the secure system.
6. LK / AEE – Boots the Android operating system and handles crash logging.
7. Linux Kernel – This is Android. The phone is now fully booted.
This exploit abuses a flaw in the MediaTek boot chain. When the bootloader is unlocked (seccfg), the Preloader skips verification of the bl2_ext partition, even though bl2_ext is responsible for verifying everything that comes after it. So if bl2_ext it's not verified and can be modified, it compromises the entire secure boot process. The exploit modifies a function called sec_get_vfy_policy() inside bl2_ext, making it always return "0", so an unverified bl2_ext running at EL3 now happily loads unverified images for the rest of the boot chain.
Additionally, the included PoC also spoofs the device’s lock state as locked so you can pass strong integrity checks anywhere while being unlocked. Someone even managed to pass Basic, Device and Strong integrity on LineageOS for Phone 2a without rooting, spoofing, using pixel fingerprint or leaked keybox.
Vivo X80 Pro is also vulnerable & it has a more severe version of the flaw, as it fails to verify bl2_ext even with a locked bootloader. You can read more about the usage of exploit here:

Nothing Downgrades Phone 3 Display PWM Rating
PWM, known as "pulse width modulation," is a technology used by brands to rapidly turn the display on and off to trick your eyes into thinking the screen's brighter or dimmer. It's this flickering that can cause grueling problems for people who are PWM sensitive. Some people can suffer from eye straight, headaches, dizziness, a sense of vertigo, nausea, and a whole host of other uncomfortable feelings.
When Nothing Phone 3 was announced, its specifications page mentioned that the phone features 2160Hz PWM rating. The higher the PWM rating, the lesser is the flickering at low brightness and the better it is for your eyes.
Now, a Nothing spokesperson confirmed to Android Central that the retail software release of the Phone 3 features a PWM rate change. The company states the device's rate has changed from 2,160Hz to 960Hz to improve its screen's picture quality at low brightness.
What more funny is that, Nothing is actually scared as it will affect their sales. Thus, Nothing have not written any mention 960Hz PWM in phone 3's technical specs page and even removed the 2160Hz PWM parameter on that page. So, this change was only announced to the reviewers instead of the general public.

Well, it appears Carl Pei was forced to eat cement as a child and never could afford good glue in manufacturing
Ear 2 is plagued by the same issues and it would appear it's only a matter of time before they start failing en masse too. (Mine started coming apart lol, repasted before it fully separated)
Check if your Ear 2s are starting to get a gap in either of the buds.

Nothing Team scammed their loyal Nothing Phone 1 and Phone 2 users.
When the sale started, just a week ago, Carl Pei advertised that Phone 3 will be available for around Rs.35,000 to users who exchange their Phone 1 and Phone 2. Nothing advertised it so much such that they even pushed the offers through System notification on Phone 1 and Phone 2
So people utilized that offer and exchanged their Phone 1 and Phone 2 devices just to find that one week later, the same Phone 3 could be purchased for the same price without exchanging their old device.

Nothing Faked kernel upstreaming for Phone 2a
Nothing Phone 2a users opened an issue on GitHub requesting the Nothing company to release the Kernel Source release for Nothing OS 3.2 (Pacman-V3.2-250620-1021) and stop violating the GPL2 license
Nothing eventually did it 🎉🥳
However, all Nothing did was to rename the version in the Makefile to match the 3.2 kernel and did not actually merge anything from it. Thus, they faked upstreaming the kernel.

They even made false claims in one of their comments on this issue arguing that they did the upstreaming correctly, which the Nothing team has deleted now shamelessly. They claimed that the kernel has been "updated" to 5.15.167 for the august update but after checking the kernel image from a boot.img of the june update (Pacman_V3.2-250620-1021), this is proven to be false since the kernel got updated to 5.15.167 since this version
Only after some people posted it on twitter & spammed the issue section with fake upstreaming, Nothing eventually fixed it by actually doing the upstreaming.

Other companies watermark their images, so they can have aesthetics and showcase how good their phone camera is.
Nothing knows they can't compete so they just take images from professional cameras and pass it off as their phones (in blind tests, 90% of the time Nothing Phone 3 lost to OP13 on twitter lol)

Phone 3 was initially launched for Rs. 80,000 (~925$) in India and now after 1 month, it is available for Rs.55,000 (~625$) with barely 2 weeks of usage and in perfectly mint condition with full 1 year warranty, bill box and all stuff. Still no one buying it tho 😂
