🍻 St. James' Park is trialling brand-new Box Bar self-serve pint stations for tomorrow's massive clash against Aston Villa in three seperate locations! You'll find the tech units set up through Access 1, Access 10, and Bar 1892. 🏟️
🤞 Fingers crossed this finally puts a dent in those brutal concourse queues. The big hope here is that everyone gets served way faster, meaning we can get straight back out into the stands and terraces where we belong and need to be! 🏁
🏃♂️💨 No more of that frustrating, constant trickle of people missing the start of the second half because they're stuck waiting in lines.
🗣️ We need to be bang on it tomorrow from minute one to build that proper St James' Park atmosphere. Let's get behind the lads, roar them on, and grab a massive three points! 💪🔥
Will you be giving the self-serve taps a whirl tomorrow?

15 home games without a clean sheet for #NUFC
Concede against #AVFC tomorrow and it's a new club record 😩
Bazoumana Touré is reportedly being watched by @Arsenal_london and @Manchester_United...
Is this another Yankuba Minteh situation? #NUFC
🚨 Newcastle United have today launched another adidasoriginals collection, with this one featuring the retro 1983-1988 crest.

Matthias Jaissle on Joelinton and Dan Burn:
"We need to manage it really carefully. We missed them so much. Joe has had more training compared to Dan and the next steps for both of them is to give them more game time. For Dan it will most likely be too soon to get that starting position already as he's just trained a couple of times but for Joelinton it could be a bit different."
Matthias Jaissle on Coventry defeat:
"We made too many individual mistakes, so these things we need to avoid otherwise you get punished in this league. Even though we're a young squad we need to learn fast. This is the message now to the players. As individuals but also as a group, to avoid these things, and then I'm sure we'll be back on the right track straight away."
Matthias speaks to the media ahead of Saturday's visit of @Aston_Villa to St. James' Park 🗣️

Wishing former Newcastle United left back Olivier Bernard a very happy birthday today! 🥳🎂

🏴 🗣️ Dan Burn on the Coventry disaster-class:
"We've gone from having one of the oldest squads last season to one of the youngest. People now see that you can't have an off night at any point because teams in the Premier League will punish you."

🇩🇪 Matthias Jaissle has given an update regarding the fitness of four key players a lot of people have been asking to start on Saturday, with the boss saying it will be a while before they can be at their best and playing 90 minutes.
“Unfortunately, the match minutes were really limited [for Burn, Dedic, Joelinton and Osula against Coventry]. We need to be smart because we had so many injuries already, so we followed the advice."
“We took the guys to the limit of what they could do. I am happy that they are back but it will take another couple of weeks before they are physically back to their best again.”
With that in mind who are you picking to start against Villa? 🤔

Newcastle United have gone 16 consecutive matches WITHOUT a clean sheet. ❌
This is the longest run without a clean sheet in Newcastle United HISTORY. 😳
A superb stop from Horníček down to his right to keep out Barkley's strike 🧤
[0-1] 74'
We could have won the league if not for FFP/PSR 😁

🗣️ Alan Shearer on #NUFC:
"It's not acceptable in any home or away game to lose how they did against Coventry....but they won't get away with that at home with 52,000 fans there."
"Jaissle needs a result massively."

Matthias Jaissle on Tino Livramento and Jacob Ramsey:
"With Tino we need to be cautious and we don't rush him. We know about his injury situation and history but we're optimistic in the next few weeks we can bring him back step by step.
With JJ it's a bit different. He's making progress. Hopefully next week he can join in partially in training and then we can build it from there."
Matthias Jaissle on Matias Fernandez-Pardo:
"Young lads coming to the Premier League need that adaptation time. Of course, you don't have that time in the Premier League so the development and adjustment needs to be as fast as possible.
I'm glad that we're seeing him in situations where he's bringing the principles on the pitch and creating the chances. I think it's just the goal missing now to give him the confidence back. He's an amazing player and has so much potential."
Matthias Jaissle on Bazoumana Touré and Anthony Elanga:
"Bazo seems to be much better, we're happy for that. It didn't look that way during the match. He's progressing well in the last few days so hopefully he's able to join the group on Saturday."
"Unfortunately Anthony's been out for many weeks so now it's the process to bring him back slowly but surely in a smart way. Hopefully next week he's about to train again, at least partially, and then we can reintegrate him step by step."
🚨 🤕 🇨🇮 TOURÉ INJURY UPDATE!
Bazoumana Toure is thought to have avoided serious injury after he was forced off in the closing stages of Monday's 4-1 defeat at Coventry.
Heavy blow to his lower leg but nothing of major concern.

🗣️ Nobody wants to be overly negative or jump into knee-jerk complaining, especially during a transitional season, but it is hard to sugarcoat what we are seeing on the pitch right now after a worrying 4-1 defeat away at Coventry City. Conceding eight goals across just two away games at Leeds and Coventry simply is not sustainable or acceptable for a club of our stature.
⚽️ Liam Kennedy broke it down brilliantly over on Inside NUFC, pointing out that while having a footballing philosophy is important, we are currently failing at the absolute basics of defending and game management, meaning a pragmatic shift might be urgently needed to steady the ship.
🛡️ That lack of defensive stability was compounded by a catalogue of costly individual errors from players like Hornicek, Botman, and Joelinton, which repeatedly handed momentum right back to the opposition during crucial moments of the match.
🧠 Beyond the technical mistakes, the team is currently lacking cohesion, character, and leadership, with far too many passengers going missing during that difficult first half.
📈 Transition is certainly a reality for us right now, but it can never be used as an excuse for poor standards, a lack of effort, or dropping the competitive edge that this shirt demands.
💬 The criticism from the fanbase right now is not about being toxic; it is about caring deeply and expecting immediate changes from the manager before this alarming trajectory gets completely away from us.
