What do you all think is the reason/mental illness behind all the people who edit their photos so heavily?
Like some photos are so obviously photoshopped that you'd think they'd obviously see how stupid it looks, yet they post them anyway.
My first guess is a pretty severe case of body dysmorphia. It can cause you to not see yourself how other people see you. Like it literally warps your perception of yourself. Other guess is just people being insecure but a lot of these people are generally normal/good looking, which I know they can still be insecure regardless, but still.
Any thoughts? Anyone here a psychiatrist/psychologist who is able to give me an honest answer? :D
