💰🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia makes big $$$ from Israel-Iran war
The war between Israel and Iran may become a BOON for oil-producing countries such as Saudi Arabia due to the ongoing increase in oil prices.
The Financial Times predicted that Saudi Arabia will likely try to use the unrest to capture a larger share in the global oil market.
Last month, JP Morgan's forecast showed Brent crude reaching $66 per barrel this year, Israel’s sneak attack against Iran caused the price to surge to $74 on June 13 (at some point during the day, this brand of oil traded as high as $78.5), a 7% increase in just one day.
This price surge may be a boost to Saudi Arabia as the International Monetary Fund in April estimated that the kingdom would need a high oil price (over $90) to balance its budget.
American economist Steve Hanke also warned that high oil prices, if sustained, will “cut” the US GDP growth and serve as “another nail in the coming US economic recession's coffin.”

Iran’s Navy stopped a British spy destroyer in the Sea of Oman that was intending to aid Israel in attacking Iran, Mehr news agency reported.
The British destroyer entered the northern Indian Ocean on June 13 in order to guide Israeli missiles into Iranian territory and was identified by the intelligence systems of the Iranian Navy, the report added.
The Navy’s combat drones forced the warship to change its course, preventing it from sailing further toward the Persian Gulf.

🔴More than 50 Israeli Air Force planes carried out an attack targeting an alleged “centrifuge production site” and “several weapons productions sites” in Iran, the Israeli military said.
🔴Warplanes also attacked manufacturing plants involved in the production “of raw materials and components” for assembling surface-to-surface and surface-to-air missiles, per the IDF.
🔴Israel struck Imam Hussein University in Tehran, with local media reporting active air defense in the Iranian capital.
🔴The IDF issued an evacuation notice for residents of Tehran’s 18th district, followed by explosions in Iran’s capital.
🔴As Tel Aviv repelled another wave of Iranian strikes, Israel’s Iron Dome again failed to intercept missiles from Iran, according to social media footage.
🔴Iran deployed its Fattah-1 hypersonic missile in the nighttime 11th wave of its attack, per the IRGC, claiming the weapon broke through Israeli air defenses and that it now has “complete control over [Israel's] airspace."
