What you need to hear—and you will certainly not hear it from your Israeli friends—is that Palestine exists, its people exist, and its cause is alive. Many around the world support it, especially in America, where protests have condemned the policies of the U.S. President.
U.S. policy has brought nothing but total destruction—not only in Palestine but throughout the world. Successive U.S. administrations have played a destructive role in many regions, pouring oil on the fires of conflict to intensify destruction and human suffering.
Palestinian Christians—and all our people—call on you, as you enter the Old City of Jerusalem under heavy Israeli protection, to be more just and fair.
Do you know that the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, which you will visit tomorrow, and also Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the city of Jerusalem as a whole are off-limits to Palestinians? You crossed oceans to reach Jerusalem, while a Palestinian who lives just half an hour away by car cannot reach the city because of the military checkpoints, gates, and walls that block his way.
Do you know that the war of extermination in Gaza has created massive destruction and a human tragedy beyond imagination—and all with the blessing of the U.S. administration and its allies?
I call on you to radically change your policies in our region. The peace we seek cannot come through supporting Israel and its wars and criminal policies against the Palestinian people. Peace is built on justice and respect for human rights. Peace cannot be built on the ruins of the Palestinian people or through conspiracies against their just cause.
Your President, during his recent visits to Jerusalem and Sharm el-Sheikh, did not mention Palestine at all—as if it does not exist on the map. But Palestine does exist on the map; it only does not exist in his mind, distorted by the influence of the Zionist lobby that controls the government of the United States.
They tell us that America is a land of democracy and freedom—but it is not so. When a racist Zionist lobby controls decision-making and policies, it means that America itself is under a hidden occupation, even if it claims to defend democracy and human rights.
Your position on the Palestinian people and their just cause is what allows us to determine whether you are truly Christian or not. Return to your humanity and to true Christianity. Do not ignore the oppression suffered by the Palestinian people or their longing to live in freedom, dignity, and peace.
Yes, we are for peace, and we pray for peace. Tomorrow you will hear the priests of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre emphasize the concept of peace—but our peace is not a peace of surrender. It is a peace of freedom, dignity, and liberation from occupation—a peace that preserves the dignity and humanity of the Palestinian people.
I hope my message reaches you and is not withheld by those around you who do not want you to hear the voice of truth and justice, but rather the voice of distortion and misinformation.
We pray for you, for your President, and for all rulers of this world so that they may work to lift the injustice from our people—who deserve life, not death; freedom, not continued occupation and slavery.
Remember, as you enter the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, that this holy place reminds us of the triumph of life over death, good over evil, and love over hatred and racism.

🇺🇸❌🇷🇺 — American relations with Russia have sharply deteriorated.
Today, the United States Department of Treasury imposed sanctions on Russia's two largest oil companies, forcing American individuals and companies to stop doing business with them and freezes their assets in the United States. The Department of Treasury cited their belief that Russia was not committed to peace as the reason behind these sanctions.
This follows a previously announced Trump-Putin summit in Budapest being cancelled, with today Trump saying it "didn't feel right" to visit Putin; reportedly a call between Marco Rubio and Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov went sour earlier in the week.
Trump also denied a Wall Street Journal report that US approval for long-range Ukrainian Tomahawk missile strikes was given, but said in the same post that the US didn't have anything to do with Ukraine's missile strikes, leaving it ambiguous.

🇺🇸❌🇨🇦 Trump cancelled trade negotiations with Canada after he was told by the Ronald Reagan Library that someone posted an ad showing a video address of Reagan from November 1988 talking about the Canadian Federal elections and Canada’s trade relations with the US.
Besides claiming that the video was posted without the consent of the Ronald Reagan Library, Trump also claimed the video was misquoting Reagan and was posted to mock him and his trade policies.
The reality is quite different. In April 1987 Reagan shared his thoughts on tariffs saying:
“Throughout the world, there's a growing realization that the way to prosperity for all nations is rejecting protectionist legislation and promoting fair and free competition. Now, there are sound historical reasons for this. For those of us who lived through the Great Depression, the memory of the suffering it caused is deep and searing. And today, many economic analysts and historians argue that high tariff legislation passed back in that period, called the Smoot-Hawley tariff, greatly deepened the depression and prevented economic recovery.
You see, at first when someone says, let's impose tariffs on foreign imports, it looks like they're doing the patriotic thing by protecting American products and jobs. And sometimes for a short while, it works, but only for a short time. What eventually occurs is, first, homegrown industries start relying on government protection in the form of high tariffs. They stop competing and stop making the innovative management and technological changes they need to succeed in world markets.
And then, while all this is going on, something even worse occurs. High tariffs inevitably lead to retaliation by foreign countries and the triggering of fierce trade wars. The result is more and more tariffs, higher and higher trade barriers, and less and less competition. So soon, because of the prices made artificially high by tariffs that subsidize inefficiency and poor management, people stop buying.
Then the worst happens. Markets shrink and collapse, businesses and industry shut down, and millions of people lose their jobs. The memory of all this occurring back in the 30s made me determined when I came to Washington to spare the American people the protectionist legislation that destroys prosperity. Now, it hasn't always been easy. There are those in the Congress, just as there were back in the 30s, who want to go for the quick political advantage, who risk America's prosperity for the sake of a short-term appeal to some special interest group, who forget that more than 5 million American jobs are directly tied to the foreign export business, and additional millions are tied to import”.

🇵🇸☦📞🇺🇸 — On the occasion of the upcoming visit that U.S. Vice President JD Vance will carry out tomorrow to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, Archbishop of Sebastia of the Greek Orthodox Church Atallah Hanna, has addressed this open letter to him, calling him to meet and hear Palestinains Christian voices and to stop supporting the Israeli oppression as it contradicts with Christian values:

The love we hold onto and proclaim is the very love preached by the One who triumphed over death through His Resurrection in the very place you will visit tomorrow.
I address you in the language of love, faith, and humanity, not in the language of politics and interests which you will hear from the Israeli politicians you will meet. We are not politicians, nor will we ever be, but we believe in the values of truth, justice, and defending the oppressed. We hope that your visit to the Holy Tomb will allow you to receive some of the light that shone from this empty tomb to dispel the darkness of this world.
There are rulers in this world whose vision and conscience have been blinded by interests, and they turn a blind eye to the injustices suffered by our Palestinian people. Among them is the President of the United States, under whom you serve as Vice President. You boast of your Christianity, yet anyone who listens to your statements and positions notices that you are far removed from Christianity and its values, which call us to defend the oppressed and the afflicted.
The aim of my letter is not to condemn you—that is not our task—because there is a just Judge in heaven before whom we will all stand one day, and He will ask each of us: What have you done for your brother?
My message is meant to remind you—as you visit the holiest site in the Christian world—of your Christian, moral, and human responsibilities: to reject oppression, tyranny, occupation, and injustice.
How can a Christian ignore the suffering of the Palestinian people, especially after what has taken place over the past two years in Gaza, where a war of extermination is being waged?
You will remain in Jerusalem for three days, yet we have not heard that your schedule includes any meetings with Palestinian figures so that you may hear what Palestinians have to say about themselves, rather than what is said about them by the Israeli side, to whom you have dedicated your entire visit, meeting them and listening only to their narrative.
It is unreasonable that you come to Jerusalem and Palestine without hearing what Palestinians have to say about their suffering, pain, and fears—especially Palestinian Christians—whose blessed and historic church you will visit tomorrow. It seems, however, that you will be surrounded by security personnel to prevent anyone from saying anything that might disturb you or your hosts.
In the Church of the Holy Sepulchre there will be a number of church leaders, priests, and monks who will clearly tell you that Jerusalem longs for peace, and so does our Holy Land. But the peace we seek is a peace based on justice and respect for human rights.
What I tell you is this: it is not within your authority to ignore the existence of the Palestinian people. It is sad and painful that you have come to this Holy Land for a purpose that is not holy—to show support for the occupation and its oppressive policies against the Palestinian people.
You have flooded us with speeches about peace, yet you have done nothing for peace. On the contrary, you have ignored Palestinian rights and legitimate demands. When Palestinians suffered a new Nakba in Gaza over the past two years, you supported it, and your weapons killed many Palestinians—making you partners in this crime.
