Two days ago Anthropic discovered CVE-2026−98432 in Linux core and gained superuser privileges in roughly 50 minutes. Now every Linux distro (since 4.4) has to upgrade, many distros (including Ubuntu) were unable to react fast enough. Millions of servers are still not patched.
Originally a theoretical base for the this vulnerability has been discussed in October. The new model just proved it's possible and easy. It has been scored 9.8 (which is extremely high).
