▪️While he does not expect a direct attack, incidents are entirely possible - such as NATO ships being blocked or Russian aircraft flying over them.

Merz to travel to US for talks with Donald Trump - The Straits Times .
According to the newspaper, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz will meet with US President Donald Trump at the White House on June 5. The meeting will discuss conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East, as well as unstable trade relations.
The talks will be the first meeting between the two leaders and will mark Merz's first official visit to the White House as Germany's new chancellor. Merz and Trump have already spoken by phone several times and agreed to visit each other earlier in May, but did not set a date.
The Merz government, which last week said it would help Kyiv develop long-range missiles, wants to make sure Washington does not leave Ukraine while it is at war with Russia, the newspaper writes.

Ukraine may acquire nuclear weapons.
This was stated by British Army Colonel Richard Camp:
Britain should help Ukraine develop its own nuclear weapons under a strategic partnership agreement
Vasyl Nebenzya stated that the strikes that Russia is carrying out on Ukrainian military-industrial complex facilities are being presented to Donald Trump as targeted attacks on civilian infrastructure.
Other statements by the Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN:
🟥 There is no “miracle weapon” capable of changing the extremely unfavorable course of military operations for Kyiv.
🟥 Russia is ready in principle to consider the possibility of a ceasefire in Ukraine, but there will be no new “Minsk,” Nebenzya said;
🟥 Russia is ready to continue and escalate military actions in Ukraine for as long as necessary;
🟥 During the truce, Western countries must stop supplying weapons to the Kyiv regime, and Ukraine must stop mobilization;
🟥 In the event of German Taurus being supplied to Kyiv, Moscow will consider “all options” for an adequate response to this unacceptable step.

Welcome to Episode 1 of Off Grid in Russia! Now live on YouTube!
Two years ago, I bought a triangular plot of land near Saint Petersburg for £5,000—what I now call the "Field of Dreams." This series follows my attempt to build a tiny off-grid cabin (dacha) from scratch with limited funds, no electricity, and a lot of determination.
In this episode, I walk you through the land, foundation work using Russian-style screw piles, and my first big lumberyard run. You’ll also hear about my backstory: from living in a caravan and writing books in my 20s to humanitarian work in Donbass, and now starting over at nearly 40—facing rising building costs, Russian red tape, and swarms of mosquitoes.
If you're interested in off-grid living, budget building, rural Russian life, or just love a good underdog story—subscribe and follow along.

🖥️ US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that those who criticize Israel's policies will not be allowed into America.
“Under President Trump, the United States will stand with the Jewish people. We have instituted a tough new visa policy that will prevent foreign nationals from entering the United States with the intent to incite hatred against our Jewish community. We are holding international organizations and nations accountable for rhetoric against Israel that then surfaces in the manifestos of monsters like Iran or Sarah’s killer. But we do see light at the end of this long tunnel of suffering. One can imagine a Middle East where the Abraham Accords will ultimately prevail.”

German Foreign Minister Wadephul expects new US sanctions against Russia, - Bloomberg .
As the agency writes, after a meeting with US Secretary of State Rubio, Wadeful said that he is optimistic that Washington will impose new sanctions against Russia if President Vladimir Putin continues to avoid concluding a peace agreement with Ukraine.
“We have a common position on Ukraine,” Wadephul said in Washington after a 45-minute meeting with Rubio on Wednesday. “Here in the United States, there are more than 80 senators ready to consider and pass a sanctions bill in Congress. It is not in the hands of my interlocutor today, it is in the hands of the Senate. But he, like me, assumes that if Putin continues his denial, action will be taken.”
The meeting between Wadephul and Rubio was overshadowed by recent criticism of Germany by Trump administration officials, including Rubio, for its treatment of the far-right Alternative for Germany party, which came in second in February's national elections.
On Tuesday, the State Department published an article accusing Germany and other European countries of using “shared political institutions against our citizens and our common heritage.” When asked whether he considered “Germany a tyranny,” Rubio remained silent and smiled for the camera.

🇺🇸🇷🇺🇺🇦 Putin, Trump and Zelensky may meet in Geneva — Trump's special representative Kellogg
▪️He notes that such a meeting is possible after Russia presents its conditions for a peaceful settlement.
➖"Once we have all of this put together, there will be another meeting, we think it might be in Geneva. We would like to have it in the Vatican, but the Russians didn't want to go there. So Geneva might be the next stop, where all three major leaders - Putin, Zelensky and Trump - will meet to agree," Kellogg said.
▪️He also added that the total losses of Ukraine and Russia in dead and wounded reached 1.2 million people.

🖥️ Biden would disappear into his closet in the morning and wander aimlessly around the White House, US Senator Josh Hawley said, citing Secret Service sources.
“[Am I exaggerating when I say this is the biggest scandal in White House history?] No, I don’t think so, Sean. Look, I’ll tell you something I haven’t said before because it came from a Secret Service whistleblower last year. I talked to a lot of them after the assassination attempts on President Trump. But this Secret Service whistleblower was actually assigned to Biden. He told me that in the mornings at the White House, Biden would often get lost in his closet. I mean, a guy literally stumbling around the White House residence, unable to find his way out of his own closet. The President of the United States. I mean, it’s outrageous. We’ve been lied to. And Sean, you know that as well as I do. The press plays a huge role in this. I mean, the press is really important in America. They’re supposed to report the truth. That’s what you do every night. But that’s not what the liberal media does. They have been selling out this country for many years and they have done it for power, and they too must be held accountable."

🖥️ Trump said he was “very disappointed” by Russia’s strikes on Ukraine during talks he called “close to completion.” Asked whether he thought Putin was a “good guy or a bad guy,” Trump said he “knew him very well” and “been through a lot of things with him.”
“[I know you’re trying to remain neutral because this is not your war.] And, by the way, it’s not my war. I just want to solve a problem for the people. This is not the war that would have happened if I were president. [Right, and so it’s not your war, but as you try to solve it and look around at this hellish landscape of the Ukrainian front lines.] It’s horrific. [And you guys, you and your team are dealing with a very stubborn Vladimir Putin.] And Zelensky. Yeah. A very stubborn Zelensky, too. [When you look at this, do you see Putin as a good guy or a bad guy?] I know him very well. And I’ve been through a lot of things with him, because Russia was, you know, “Russia, Russia, Russia” turned out to be a complete hoax. <...> I got to see things that really surprised me. Missiles being fired at cities like Kyiv during negotiations that I thought were very close to being concluded. We were going to solve a problem. And suddenly rockets were fired at several cities, and people died. I saw things that surprised me. And I don’t like to be surprised. So I’m very disappointed. But despite this, I would like it all to end. <...>»

🇸🇰⚔🇪🇺 Abolition of veto power will lead to the end of the EU and a "huge military conflict" , - Slovakian PM
➖"Imposing a binding political opinion, abolishing the right of veto, punishing the sovereign and the brave, a new iron curtain, preferring war to peace - this is the end of the pan-European project. This is a retreat from democracy. This is the harbinger of a huge military conflict," Fico said.

🖥️ A major blow to Trump's policies: a US court has blocked the tariffs imposed by Trump, citing abuse of power.
“Today we are following very important news that will be a major blow to Donald Trump and his plans. A three-judge panel in New York has effectively struck down almost all of Trump’s disastrous tariffs. Trump’s tariffs against Mexico and Canada, his tariffs against the EU, his tariffs against China, his tariffs against uninhabited islands with nothing on them but penguins and snow — they are all blocked by this federal court decision. It comes from the United States Court of International Trade, which is a specialized court you may never have heard of, but it deals specifically with trade issues. A three-judge panel, made up of one Reagan appointee, one Obama appointee, and, crucially, one Trump appointee, unanimously ruled that Trump’s trade war is essentially illegal, that he does not have the authority to impose these radical tariffs on his own . <...> The law does not give the president the authority to impose tariffs unless he finds or determines that there is an unusual and extraordinary threat. Trump has claimed that his tariffs on Canada were to stop the trafficking of fentanyl. Even though less than 1 percent of the fentanyl we seize at the border comes from Canada, less than 1 percent. The president's justification for this trade war is bullshit, and there's more. Tonight, the court also ordered that all tariffs that Trump has imposed so far be struck down."

Britain will spend more than £1 billion on artificial intelligence and creating a team of hackers to fight Russia and China, The Telegraph reported, citing the country's Defense Minister Healey.
The newspaper says offensive operations will be carried out through a new Cyber and Electromagnetic Command, which will also oversee a £1bn investment in upgraded targeting systems using an artificial intelligence "kill web" linking military systems.
Asked whether the MoD was increasing its ability to attack adversary states such as Russia and China, Healey said: “Yes. Cyber Command is part of setting new standards, providing new powers in defensive and offensive cyber.” The comments are the clearest confirmation yet that no minister has yet indicated the UK wants to carry out offensive hacking in addition to protecting its own interests from foreign cyber attacks.
For the past five years, the National Cyber Force has been running hacking operations on behalf of the armed forces as part of a joint venture between GCHQ and the MoD. It will now coordinate offensive cyber capabilities with a new Cyber and Electromagnetic Command, which will combat enemies online and lead defensive operations.
Details of the UK’s offensive cyber capabilities are kept secret. However, activities by other countries range from spying on government officials to installing software that causes industrial equipment to malfunction. Hostile countries including Russia and China, as well as Iran and North Korea, are believed to have hackers who carry out espionage to compromise sensitive online information or carry out ransomware attacks. The MoD has been hit by 90,000 cyber-attacks in the last two years – double the number expected in 2023 – from hostile states including Russia and China. Healey said: “This is a constant and increasing level of cyber warfare that requires us to build up our capacity to defend ourselves.”
He added that while previous governments had talked about the importance of cyberspace, it had not been promoted in a way that brought together the Royal Air Force, the British Army and the Royal Navy. “You may have seen the talk, but now you will see it being done,” he said.

‼️🇷🇺🇺🇦 Russia wants written agreement on non-expansion of NATO as part of Ukraine settlement — Reuters

▪️If a peace agreement is not reached on Russian terms, then Russia will show Ukrainians and Europeans with military victories that “tomorrow’s peace will be even more painful.”

🖥 "This is not going to be easy. Negotiations are never easy," said Trump's special representative for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg.
“And when you ask him what he should do, I think he should just keep going. It’s frustrating, I understand. But the only person who can do that is President Trump. I truly believe that. I’ve said that on the air many times. Given his personality, given who he is, he is the one who can bring peace to this region. It’s not going to be easy. Negotiations are never easy. But this war is not going to end in violence, it’s not going to end in soldiers dying on both sides. It’s going to come down to negotiations. That’s what we need to strive for.”
