🌍 🌡 The region that is fast becoming unlivable is the most heavily populated region of Africa, and it is already a zone of great instability. Just because the Aid era has ended does not mean that this can be put in a box. There is not a lot the West can do about it. But one thing it can do is arm-twist the oil sheikhs who are destabilizing the region.

🇺🇸🇮🇱⚔️🇮🇷 President Trump told PM Netanyahu in December he would back Israeli strikes on Iran’s ballistic missile program if no U.S.-Iran deal is reached, sources tell CBS.

Two months later, CBS News has learned that internal discussions between senior figures in the U.S. military and intelligence community have started to contemplate the possibility of supporting a fresh round of Israeli strikes on Iran.

American deliberations have focused less on whether Israel could act than on how the United States might assist, including the provision of aerial refueling for Israeli aircraft and the delicate matter of securing overflight permission from countries along the potential route, said two other U.S. officials with knowledge of the matter.

🇫🇷⚡️- Within only 48 hours of organization, a gathering initiated by the students union Cocarde Étudiante and Parisian nationalists in the memory of Quentin took place this afternoon in Paris.

With a few hundred people present, the most notable part of this tribute was a rare right-wing unity.

Members of the Cocarde, National Rally party, Reconquête party and other identitarian and nationalist groups put their differences aside to honor Quentin's legacy and denounce antifa violence.

Éric Zemmour and Marion Maréchal stood along members from the RN party despite years of animosity.

Les Républicains (center-right) were not present despite being invited.

✈️ 🇺🇸 🇳🇬 The first batch of 200 U.S. troops to be deployed to Nigeria has arrived in the country. They are currently tasked with establishing basic infrastructure and operational security alongside their Nigerian allies.

U.S. personnel are also responsible for ensuring the steady delivery of ammunition and equipment to the Nigerian Army, which will likely consist primarily of munitions for the Nigerian Air Force (NAF).

Additional U.S. Air Force transport flights are expected to continue landing at three distinct locations in Nigeria. Two of these are almost certainly the Kainji and Maiduguri Airbases, with the latter being prioritized.

Nigerian officials have insisted that U.S. troops deployed in Nigeria are there only to provide training, advice, and intelligence analysis.

🇺🇸 🇻🇦 🇻🇮 Steve Bannon, a former White House adviser to US President Donald Trump, discussed opposition strategies with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein against Pope Francis, with Bannon saying he hoped to “take down” the pontiff, according to newly released files from the US Department of Justice.

Messages sent between the pair in 2019, released in the massive document dump last month, reveal Bannon courted the late financier in his attempts to undermine the former pontiff after leaving the first Trump administration.

“Will take down (Pope) Francis,” Bannon wrote to Epstein in June 2019. “The Clintons, Xi, Francis, EU – come on brother.”

Rome and the Vatican have been important for Bannon. He set up a Rome bureau when he ran Breitbart News and has been involved in trying to establish a political training “gladiator school” to defend Judaeo-Christian values not far from the Eternal City.

In his messages with Epstein, Bannon references “In the Closet of the Vatican,” a 2019 book by French journalist Frédéric Martel that lifted a lid on secrecy and hypocrisy at high levels of the church. Martel created a storm with his book by claiming 80% of the clergy working in the Vatican are gay, while exploring how they keep their sexuality secret.

Bannon’s desire to make a film out of Martel’s book saw him lose an ally in the Vatican. Cardinal Raymond Burke, a prominent conservative critic of Francis, said: “I am not at all of the mind that the book should be made into a film.”

When Bannon shares with Epstein an article about the Vatican condemning “populist nationalism,” Epstein quotes John Milton’s biblical poem “Paradise Lost,” when Satan has been cast out of heaven.

“Better to reign in Hell, than serve in Heaven,” Epstein tells Bannon.

Democrats just forced a partial government shutdown after they refused to pass appropriations for DHS unless the White House agreed to their demands to hamstring ICE.

This is a preview of what is to come in 2027. As it stands, Democrats are able to block legislation in the Senate despite being in the minority with 47 seats because of the 60-vote threshold to bypass the filibuster. Imagine what they can achieve with an outright majority in the House.

What happens when House Democrats force a total government shutdown over ICE or any other Trump admin policy? There is literally no way to proceed. Not to mention, the investigative powers of the House which allow them to subpoena, depose, hold public hearings, and convene committees.

I don't think people realize that once we lose the midterms, the Trump administration is effectively finished. By June, the 2026 legislative session is mostly over and Trump has actually said he doesn't need another budget reconciliation bill. If they are unwilling to bypass the filibuster then it's already over.

As I said in 2024, Trump never had a full 4 years, he had a little less than 2 years to act quickly and ambitiously before this inevitability. It took until June to get the funding in the BBB, took another 6 months for that money to "hit" DHS, and no w in February they are slowing down rather than speeding up.

They had 2 years to go all in on tariffs, deportations, executive orders, DOGE... but due to their own incompetence and sloppiness, each of these initiatives quickly fell apart. Liberation Day was reversed in a week, DOGE undone in a few months, deportations never happened and took a year to be abandoned.

Once Dems win, all of this becomes more difficult if not impossible and they will certainly impeach not just Trump but other members of the admin too. Our "presumptive nominee" who the GOP prematurely foisted upon us will go down in flames with the admin too, unable to distance himself.

🛢 🇨🇺 🇺🇸 A Bloomberg analysis of satellite data shows that much of Cuba has gone dark this year due to the Trump's oil blockade

It’s now a waiting game between Washington and Havana to see who blinks first. Trump argues the regime is so weak it will collapse on its own and is severing all sources of external support to speed the process. Díaz-Canel has indicated he’s open to negotiations with the US, but not about the country’s one-party system of government.

From rural towns to provincial capitals and Havana itself, everyday Cubans are living under increasing duress as a result. While the regime survived the collapse of the Soviet Union in the 1990s through similarly aggressive belt-tightening and stoicism, it could still import fuel to keep the lights on.

Not being able to do so this time, Bustamante said, represents “a very significant blow that will severely strain an already severely strained electric grid.”

🇨🇳🤝🇮🇷 China’s Eyes, Iran’s Fist: PLA’s Satellites & IRGC’s “Kill Chain”

China’s satellite network provides Iran with 24/7/365 coverage and real-time updates: SIGINT, terrain mapping, telemetry; radar, optical, and infrared all-weather/day & night imaging, allowing Iran to precisely strike Israeli and U.S. targets. No China, no “boom, boom, Tel Aviv!”

“Kill chain” is the sequential process used to identify, track, and destroy threats: Find, Fix, Track, Target, Engage, Assess. The six stages fall into two classes: “eyes” and “fists.” China provides the eyes; Iran provides the fists. China’s satellite network delivers full spectrum “Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance” (ISR) coverage that Iran’s tiny satellite fleet cannot. Absent PLA’s eyes, IRGC punches in the dark.

Integration of Iranian military systems with Chinese ISR systems began at least a decade ago. Iran’s migration to BeiDou satellite navigation system—alternative to U.S.-controlled GPS—is instructive. Migration began in 2015. Commentators gushed that Iran “ditched” GPS for BeiDou in the Twelve-Day War, but developing technological architecture was conditio sine qua non for migration. Iran established ground stations (2015–18); received BeiDou–2 (pre–2020) & –3 (post–2020) tech and training; upgraded military and civilian software and hardware to utilize BeiDou’s encrypted signals. Migration was completed in 2025.

China and Iran do not admit to ISR cooperation; both side issue vague statements about “technical cooperation,” etc. But there are logical means to establish the “eyes and fist” arrangement. Noor-2 is nearing decay, leaving Noor–3 as the sole confirmable military sat that is active. The orbital paths of Khayyam and Pars–1 show low coverage of the Middle East. Both are in sun-synchronous orbit (consistent sunlight) at 97.4° and 97.5° inclinations, respectively, imaging in daylight the same locales in the Middle East at the same time each day (2–3 passes per day per sat; 10 mins per pass per sat). This is insufficient.

Iran requires persistent, full-spectrum (eyes & ears) coverage—not just during the Twelve-Day War, but every day—that its sats cannot deliver. Iran, as discussed, lacks GEO SIGINT sats, very high-resolution optical imaging, IR, geolocating, terrain mapping, advanced SAR, multispectral and hyperspectral technologies; proliferated architecture (LEO constellations, as noted, deliver multilayered “no hide” coverage).

The coverage that Iran needed in the Twelve-Day War could only have come from China. Russia, apart from its own distractions, has no proliferated architecture and few LEO sats in its inventory to share

It is improbable that Iranian ISR drones penetrated Israeli airspace during the war, or that Iranian radar systems located dynamic targets by themselves (pre-war intel is virtually useless once assets are relocated). Yet, Iranian missiles found relocated targets and struck them accurately (we witnessed IDF batteries get blasted frequently). That happens only with real-time data and precise geolocation. Launches by Iran or Yemen of one or two ballistic missiles were designed to bait air defenses into activating radars, allowing an ELINT partner to “find and fix.” Yemen, derided by Israel for “missing” targets, assuredly did a lot to help IRGC and PLA map the multi-layered (sea and land) air defense network protecting Israel, and acquire detailed electronic fingerprints.

In 2024, volunteers from the SuperPAC Real Texans for Justice hit the streets to protest Colony Ridge—a massive development that used shady, predatory tactics to flood Liberty County with over 50,000 largely illegal immigrants. Without any say from the area's mostly White residents, their communities were suddenly overrun by foreigners, bringing cartel activity, drug crime, and chaos, while Texas officials looked the other way.

Protests, awareness campaigns, and relentless pressure have begun to turn the tide, forcing scrutiny and action. In 2026, that persistence delivered results: The State of Texas secured a $68 million settlement against the developers for breaking the law, with much of the money boosting law enforcement in the area.

Make no mistake, this is only a step. We want them gone. The work continues. The leader of the RT4J SuperPAC joined the board of NOVA, and many original Colony Ridge protesters now volunteer with NOVA for pro-White advocacy.

⚠️🇻🇪 Delcy Rodríguez eliminates Chavista missions (social programs -Welfare Spending-) and foundations via decree

The acting president, Delcy Rodríguez, ordered the immediate abolition of several Chavista missions and foundations operating from Miraflores, after signing decree 5.248 published in the extraordinary Official Gazette 6.985. The measure eliminated entities that had been living off the public budget for years.

Among the liquidated bodies are theRobert Serra Homeland Youth Mission Foundation and the Presidential Office of Special Plans and Projects, structures that managed millions of dollars without oversight. Also eliminated were Propatria 2000, José Félix Ribas, and the Bolivarian Revolutionary Movement of the Active Reserve.

The most sensitive blow was the disappearance of the Strategic Center for Security and Homeland Protection (Cesppa), the body responsible for monitoring, classifying, and censoring "sensitive" information for the Chavista regime.

Only the Socialist New Frontier of Peace Mission partially survived after being transferred to the Foreign Ministry.

🌎 🇺🇸 🌐 Marco Rubio was once seen as ill-suited to an “America First” agenda. Now he’s one of Trump’s most powerful advisers — and is trying to make neocon ideas MAGA-friendly.

The president’s National Security Strategy, released on Dec. 4, marked a turning point. Its renewed focus on the Western Hemisphere provided an explicit rationale for military operations against alleged drug traffickers in the Caribbean and eastern Pacific, alongside a broader naval buildup. By unveiling a “Trump Corollary” to the Monroe Doctrine — an unmistakable echo of Teddy Roosevelt’s own hegemonic revision of James Monroe’s 1823 set of principles for the region — the NSS also appeared to signal a return to an older ethos of nation-building, or at least the nation-shaping of Republican days past. The January capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, followed by Trump’s assertion that the US would “run” Venezuela for the foreseeable future, underscored that the shift wasn’t just rhetorical.

The pivot has corresponded with Rubio’s rise, and he now functions as a sort of load-bearing joint between rival instincts in the administration — nationalist retrenchment on one side, forceful displays of military superiority on the other. Rubio has proven unusually adept at translating Trump’s impulses into a foreign policy that both camps can recognize as their own. Many observers credit him with shaping the NSS’s regional focus, and he’s reportedly a principal architect of the Maduro operation — an effort that neatly aligns Trump’s domestic priorities and penchant for spectacular displays of force with Rubio’s own longtime campaign to confront communist regimes in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Whether this MAGA-friendly strain of neoconservatism can last is another question.

The maximalist language of the NSS is also an obvious pretext for larger interventions of the sort Rubio has long been an advocate — interventions that go beyond what is necessary to address Trump’s own priorities, and beyond the Western Hemisphere, notably in Iran. But more important are the actions taken after the NSS was released. Maduro’s capture is a case in point: a realization of Rubio’s goal of toppling regional dictators and a return to the sort of foreign entanglements Trump has consistently advocated against.

Whether the Venezuela operation is seen as a success or failure, Rubio’s influence is likely to wane. A success — measured as stability and a reduction in suffering for the Venezuelan people — would embolden his own presidential ambitions, meaning a possible departure by early 2027, so he can take a victory lap and distance himself from an administration that’s likely to be under public and congressional pressure. A failure would cost him influence, if not his job.

The neocons paired a belief in the power of military force with a set of ideological commitments about democracy, authoritarianism and America’s role in the world. Rubio hasn’t entirely dropped that vision, but he’s tried to recast it as something MAGA-shaped. And he’s gambled that such a compromise can succeed so long as he has a seat at the table to stave off the president’s worst impulses. Few would defend the neocons’ legacy, but absent Rubio’s influence we are likely to be left only with adventurism, largely unchallenged within the administration and unmoored from any doctrine.
