❗️Over 42,000 Cossacks have taken part in the Special Military Operation, 11 of whom were awarded the title Hero of Russia.

This was announced to TASS by Viktor Vodolatsky, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration, and Relations with Compatriots.

11 Cossacks from the SMO have been awarded the title of Hero of Russia, and over 100 others have received the Order of Courage.

Vodolatsky also added that approximately 18,000 Cossacks currently serve in volunteer units and within the Russian Ministry of Defense and continue to carry out missions in the SMO zone.

❗️A third accomplice in the assassination attempt on Russian spy chief General Vladimir Alekseev leased an apartment in his building

"54-year-old Zinaida S. was looking for an apartment in a residential complex on Volokolamskoe Highway to live near the general.

She managed to rent an apartment two floors above General Alekseev's. All this time, she was getting to know her neighbors and, at the same time, gathering information about the general's movements and finding out about access to the house."

She was the only one out of the three who managed to escape to Ukraine.

❗️The FSB published footage of the extradition to Russia of Lieutenant General Vladimir Alekseev's would be assassin.

The man was detained in Dubai with the assistance of partners from the UAE, the FSB reported.

The Investigative Committee of Russia reported that a Makarov pistol with a silencer was found at the scene of the attempt on General Alekseev.

The man who shot at General Alekseev, Korba, is a Ukrainian citizen from the Ternopil region of Ukraine. He arrived in Russia in December 2025 on the orders of the Kiev special services.

Korba's accomplice 65-year-old Viktor Vasin, lived in Moscow and, presumably, served in the Navy in the Soviet past — this is indicated by photos in social networks and resumes on job search sites. In addition, the killer's accomplice graduated from the Kemerovo Communications Troops School. Recently, he worked in the field of labor protection, fire and transport safety, and worked at a furniture factory.

✅They targeted the basis of Ukraine's energy system — substations and power transmission lines, Shmygal stated;

✅ A fire broke out at the site of the strikes in Rovno (in the photo). The city authorities warned about power outages and possible problems with water;

✅The mayor of Ivano-Frankovsk reported power outages. He urged residents to stock up on water;
