🇦🇺🇷🇺 Blogger Simeon Boikov (@AussieCossack) – a chance to walk free

Simeon Boikov, who has been living in the Russian Consulate for almost three years, wrote on his channel that his case now has a real chance of being resolved through the Royal Prerogative of Mercy.

This opportunity appeared after Father Alexis Rosentul was finally convicted of child sexual abuse. In 2022 Boikov publicly named Rosentul and revealed details of his crimes at a time when the court had granted the offender name suppression (anonymity).

For breaking the suppression order, Boikov was sentenced to 10 months in maximum-security prison – an unprecedented punishment in Australian legal history for this type of offence. He was released on parole after serving only four months.

Shortly after his release, a pro-Ukrainian activist attempted to attack Boikov in central Sydney. The activist ran into Boikov’s outstretched arm, fell over and sustained no serious injury. Despite clear video evidence showing Boikov merely raising his arm in self-defence, the incident was classified as assault causing bodily harm. Many believe the entire episode was a deliberate provocation designed to have Boikov’s parole revoked and send him back to jail.

To avoid re-imprisonment, Boikov sought sanctuary in the Russian Consulate in Sydney, where he has remained ever since.

It is worth noting that Boikov’s original imprisonment coincided with the 2022 Australian federal election, during which he was running a highly active and outspoken media campaign that clearly irritated the authorities. A coordinated media smear campaign was launched against him at the same time, so the political motivation behind his prosecution remains a live question.

At the start of 2025, Russian-Australian community members proposed including Boikov in a prisoner swap that would have exchanged Australian mercenary Oscar Jenkins (convicted in Russia for fighting as a foreign combatant) for Boikov and the Korolev husband-and-wife team, who have now been detained for 18 months without even being charged. For reasons that are still unclear, the swap proposal went nowhere.

The charges against Boikov have not been withdrawn, so he still technically faces punishment. Given the unusually harsh treatment he has already received from prosecutors and the courts, the severity of any future sentence remains uncertain.

Boikov’s current hope rests on the Royal Prerogative of Mercy, which allows the Crown to grant a pardon or reduce a sentence when exceptional circumstances exist. The formal petition for mercy is being lodged by New South Wales Legislative Council member John Ruddick.

Находящийся в Генконсульстве РФ около 3-х лет Бойков на своём канале пишет, что ситуация имеет шанс разрешиться через т.н. Королевскую прерогативу на помилование.

Это стало возможным после того, как обвинительный приговор за насилие над детьми получил священник А. Розентул. В 2022 г. Бойков публично озвучил его имя и некоторые подробности дела, тогда как суд держал данные преступника в анонимности.

За это Бойкова наказали 10-месячным заключением строго режима - такого прецедента в австралийской истории ранее не было. Но он был отпущен условно-досрочно через 4 месяца.

Однако вскоре в центре Сиднея на него пытался напасть проукраинский активист, но наткнулся на выставленную руку Бойкова и упал без серьёзных повреждений. Это квалифицировали как нападение Бойкова с причинением телесных повреждений активисту, хотя есть чёткое видео как именно развивались события.

Не исключено, что история с тем "нападением" вообще была спланированной провокацией, чтобы вернуть Бойкова в тюрьму. Чтобы избежать повторного заключения Бойков и отправился в Генконсульство РФ, где и находится по сей день.

К слову, первое заключение Бойкова в тюрьму совпало с выборами в Австралии, а блогер развернул тогда активную медийную деятельность, что сильно раздражало власти - против него развернули медийную травлю. Поэтому, вопрос политизированности его преследования вполне актуален.

В начале 2025 г. общественники предлагали включить Бойкова в схему обмена австралийского боевика О.Дженкинса, осуждённого в России за наёмничество, на самого Бойкова и чету Королёвых. Последних вот уже 1.5 года держат в заключении без обвинительного приговора. Но история с обменом заглохла - непонятно по чьей причине.

Обвинения до сих пор не сняты и он должен понести наказание. Какое - вопрос, с учётом, что обвинение и суд ранее относились к Бойкову жёстко.

Сейчас надежды Бойкова связаны с т.н. Королевской прерогативой на помилование, которая может разрешить ситуацию с учётом всех обстоятельств. Ходатайство подаёт член парламента Нового Южного Уэльса Джон Раддик.

A referral to the Court of Criminal Appeal for a fresh whole-of-case review would almost certainly result in the assault conviction being overturned on self-defence grounds, with all associated warrants quashed.

Simeon Boikov entered the Russian Consulate to protect his right to a fair defence; he remained there as new evidence steadily vindicated his actions.

Today, with a convicted paedophile behind bars because of his courage, and clear video proof of self-defence in the only physical incident, Boikov’s petition for the Royal Prerogative of Mercy stands on bedrock.

Australia has a proud tradition of correcting injustices when the full facts emerge. For Simeon Boikov – whistleblower, journalist, husband, and father – that correction is now within reach, and the prospects for a full pardon and a return to freedom have never been stronger.

If the NSW Parliament passes an urgent motion for the Attorney-General to recommend the Governor General gives a rare pardon to the Aussie Cossack he could be free to see the birth of his first son.

NSW Parliament member John Ruddick is leading the charge.

Aussie Cossack has two outstanding warrants that need to he pardoned on a NSW State level.

1. To serve the balance of the custodial 10 month sentence in maximum security prison as an NSI EHR inmate.

2. To face sentencing for the self defence incident against a pro-Ukrainian protestor since being already convicted guilty in absentia.

These are the only two warrants. Both should be pardoned in view of the exceptional circumstances and strong humanitarian considerations.

When you search “Simeon Boikov” on Google, the very first thing it tells you is that he is an “Australian extremist”.

Boikov has never once been charged or prosecuted for any extremist activity – this is pure propaganda and reputational sabotage.

That alone is grounds to sue Google.

And whose bright idea was it to slap the “extremist” label on him in the first place? Could it be Australia’s very own version of Roskomnadzor – the eSafety Commissioner?

I’d bet on it, especially since Telegram also removed his channel from search results.

⚡️November 16, 2025 – After nearly three years of effective confinement in the Russian Consulate-General in Sydney, Australian activist and journalist Simeon Boikov – better known as “Aussie Cossack” – stands on the threshold of a historic resolution.

Once vilified by parts of the establishment media, Boikov has been dramatically vindicated in the most significant case that first drew heavy legal punishment against him, while compelling evidence supports his claim that the remaining charges stem from a legitimate act of self-defence.

With fresh moral and evidentiary grounds, a petition for the Royal Prerogative of Mercy now represents not just a viable option, but the strongest and most principled pathway for Boikov to return to normal life.

⚡️The Rosentool Vindication: A Courageous Truth-Teller Proven Right

In 2022, Boikov deliberately breached a suppression order to publicly name Archimandrite Alexis Rosentool, a senior figure in the Australian diocese of ROCOR as a child sex offender. At the time Boikov exposed Rosentool’s crimes – crimes the courts imposed the heaviest sentence ever handed in Australian history for this type of offence: 10 months imprisonment.

Boikov served four months in maximum-security custody as an NSI EHR inmate (National security interest extreme high risk inmate) before being released on strict parole.

In June and August 2025, Rosentool was convicted on all counts of multiple historical child sexual abuses spanning decades and sentenced to 19 years imprisonment.

Video footage – livestreamed by Boikov himself and still publicly available – shows a Ukrainain activist aggressively approaching Boikov, shouting in his face, and physically lunging toward him in an apparent attempt to knock the phone from his hand or strike him.

In a split-second reaction, Boikov extended his arm to protect himself and create distance. The assailant lost balance on the steps and unfortunately fell backwards, sustaining minor injuries.

Boikov immediately called the incident “self-defence” on camera, and every independent review of the footage confirms the older man was the initial aggressor.

Despite this, Boikov was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm (later proceeded as common assault). The charge also triggered a parole revocation from the earlier Rosentool-related sentence, leading to the current warrants when Boikov sought consular protection to prepare a proper defence.

Framed honestly, the incident was a textbook example of reasonable force used to repel an unprovoked confrontation. No weapon was involved, no punches were thrown, and the injuries were accidental consequences of the aggressor’s own momentum. In any fair reassessment – particularly before the Court of Criminal Appeal – self-defence would be upheld, and the conviction quashed.

⚡️Three Years of De Facto Punishment

Since December 2022, Boikov has lived in prolonged diplomatic confinement – now approaching 1,080 days – combined with the four months already served in harsh maximum-security conditions for the now-vindicated Rosentool disclosure, the Aussie Cossack has endured punishment vastly disproportionate to the charges.
