The notorious hacking group Lapsus$ has announced its retirement on its clearnet website lapsus.bz.
The group claimed it achieved all of its goals, bypassed the security of multiple organizations, made millions, and is voluntarily ending its operations. It also mocked investigators and the FBI, and said there would be no further leaks or communications from its side.
UPDATE: The previously reported retirement announcement appears to have been posted by individuals impersonating Lapsus$ who are associated with another cybercriminal group TeamPCP. One of Lapsus$’s actual members has since confirmed that the group is not retiring.

Anthropic team announced today that starting July 20, its Claude Fable 5 model will be included as a standard feature in Max and Team Premium plans at 50% of usage limits. Pro and Team Standard users will keep access through usage credits and receive a one-time $100 credit to ease the transition.

Elon Musk has officially confirmed that X will make its entire platform codebase open source after the team completes reviewing it for security vulnerabilities.

Earlier today, domain registrar GoDaddy and .ME registry operator Identity Digital suspended Telegram’s t.me domain and placed it on serverHold status. However, t.me links within Telegram itself still work on some devices.
Telegram has now temporarily switched to telegram.me domains until the t.me domain is reinstated. Links in Telegram channels now display telegram.me/ instead of t.me/.
According to Identity Digital, the registry operator for .ME domains, the t.me domain was suspended due to OFAC-related sanctions and compliance requirements.

One of the most popular gift marketplaces on Telegram, @MRKT, has been exploited. According to reports, a bug allowed users to place offers on NFTs and after canceling an offer receive the full amount back to their balance.
That balance could then be used to purchase gifts, allowing users to buy all of the Plush Pepe gifts listed on the marketplace and even withdraw a large amount of funds from the platform.
The current losses are estimated to exceed $210,000 from the sale of Plush Pepe gifts alone.

Telegram will allow users to convert existing stickers into custom Premium emoji. To do this, users can open an emoji pack, tap the “+” button, and select “Adapt from a Sticker.”
Bots will be able to send Ephemeral messages directly to specific users, along with support for Ephemeral commands. These messages are only visible to the recipient, are stored locally, and cannot be forwarded or reacted to. However, users will still be able to report, copy, and translate them.
Telegram will introduce Communities, a new way to organize related groups and channels in one place. Communities will let users collect multiple related groups and channels into a single list, making them easier to manage and navigate. The feature is similar to folders, but is designed specifically for organizing related communities together.
🔥 FBI Seizes Wrong NetNut Domain During Takedown
Earlier today, Google’s Threat Intelligence Group, working alongside the FBI, DOJ, and other partners, disrupted the NetNut (also known as Popa) residential proxy botnet.
However, it appears the FBI and the DOJ seized the wrong domain during the operation. The FBI seized netnut[.]com, but the Internet Archive does not show that it ever hosted the NetNut proxy service, while netnut[.]io, the service’s primary domain, remains online.

ℹ️ What happened?
@fuhao and his partner @wuyanzu launched an automated escrow service called @Ubao. Recently, Fuhao claimed that his partner had scammed him and stolen funds from the project after losing a significant amount of money gambling. Community reports estimate the total losses at more than $400,000.
Following the incident, Fuhao announced that he would be temporarily taking a break from Telegram and shutting down the @Ubao project less than one month after its launch.

• Thalha Jubair, known online as “Earth2Star” and “Operator,” was a former administrator of Doxbin and was arrested on the same day as Owen Flowers in September 2025.
🚨 New Telegram Stars Exploit
A new exploit has been discovered in Telegram that allows Japanese accounts to purchase 10,000 Stars for just $1.50, even though the normal price is $150.
Shortly after the exploit was discovered, many Chinese users began mass-buying expensive gifts with Stars obtained through the bug.
However, most of the gifts and Stars are expected to be refunded once Telegram fixes the exploit. Many accounts that abused the exploit have already been deactivated, and using it could result in your account being frozen or permanently banned.

• Video game activity and games played

According to the court documents, the critical mistake was using a VPN to create the ngrok account used in the May 2025 Tiffany & Co. hack from the same Windows device associated with his GDID.
Although the account was created from a VPN IP address ending in .168, Microsoft records show that the same GDID (6755467234350028) accessed the ngrok signup page at the exact time the account was created, linking the hack to his personal social accounts.

A known Chinese investor @piya, says a scammer offered 450,000 USDT via OKPay to buy his 7-digit anonymous number. OKPay notified him that the funds had been received, but when he tried to withdraw them, the platform’s risk control team froze the balance and canceled the transaction after determining the funds were obtained illegally.
According to his post, some kind of exploit allowed the scammer to make the $450,000 appear as successfully received in his OKPay account, nearly causing him to lose his 7-digit anonymous number.
The hacker claimed to have stolen around $3 million through the exploit. OKPay CEO Huo Volcano said merchants’ small losses would be fully compensated and that the team is actively working on a fix.
