قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ وَصَحبِهِ وَسَلَّمَ:
[ مَثَلُ الْمُجَاهِدِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ كَمَثَلِ الصَّائِمِ الْقَائِمِ الْقَانِتِ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ لاَ يَفْتُرُ مِنْ صِيَامٍ وَلاَ صَلاَةٍ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ الْمُجَاهِدُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى. ]
رَوَاهُ مُسْلِم
The prophet (PBUH) said,
"He who engages in jihad in Allah’s path is like him who fasts and spends the night in prayer, who assiduously recites Allah’s verses and does not slacken from fasting and prayer until he who is engaged in jihad in God’s path returns."
Narrated by Muslim.
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَصَحبِهِ وَسَلَّمَ:
( مَنِ اغْتَسَلَ ثُمَّ أَتَى الْجُمُعَةَ فَصَلَّى مَا قُدِّرَ لَهُ ، ثُمَّ أَنْصَتَ حَتَّى يَفْرُغَ اﻹمام مِنْ خُطْبَتِهِ ثُمَّ يُصَلِّي مَعَهُ غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْجُمُعَةِ الْأُخْرَى وَفَضْلُ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ ).
رواه مسلم
The Prophet (PBUH) said,
"however took a bath and then came for the Friday prayer and then prayed what was destined for him, then kept silent listening till the preacher finished the sermon, and then prayed along with him, his sins between that time and the next Friday would be forgiven, and even of three days more."

( يَوَدُّ أَهْلُ الْعَافِيَةِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حِينَ يُعْطَى أَهْلُ الْبَلاَءِ الثَّوَابَ ؛ لَوْ أَنَّ جُلُودَهُمْ كَانَتْ قُرِضَتْ فِي الدُّنْيَا بِالْمَقَارِيضِ. )
حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِي.
The Prophet (PBUH) said:
"On the day of resurrection, when people who have suffered affliction are given their reward, those who are healthy will wish their skins had been cut to pieces with scissors when they were in the world."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَصَحبِهِ وَسَلَّمَ:
( إِذَا مَاتَ وَلَدُ الْعَبْدِ قَالَ اللَّهُ لِمَلاَئِكَتِهِ:
قَبَضْتُمْ وَلَدَ عَبْدِي. فَيَقُولُونَ: نَعَمْ.
فَيَقُولُ: قَبَضْتُمْ ثَمَرَةَ فُؤَادِهِ.
فَيَقُولُونَ: نَعَمْ.
فَيَقُولُ: مَاذَا قَالَ عَبْدِي ؟
فَيَقُولُونَ :حَمِدَكَ وَاسْتَرْجَعَ.
فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ : ابْنُوا لِعَبْدِي بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَسَمُّوهُ بَيْتَ الْحَمْدِ. )
حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِي.
اسْتَرْجَعَ = قال: إنَّا للهِ وإنَّا إليه راجِعون.
The Prophet (PBUH) said:
"When a child of the slave (of Allah) died, Allah says to the angels: "Have you taken the fruits of his work."They reply: "Yes." So He says: "What did My slave say?" They reply: "He praised you and mentioned that to You is the return." So Allah says: "Build a house in Paradise for My slave, and name it 'the house of praise."

يُصِبْ مِنْهُ = يُقدِّرُ عليه المصائبَ ليَبتليَه بها.

"يُوشِكُ الأُمَمُ أَنْ تَدَاعَى عَلَيكُمْ كَمَا تَدَاعَى الأَكَلَةُ إِلَى قَصْعَتِهَا."
فقال قائل: "ومِن قلَّةٍ نحن يومئذٍ؟"
قال: "بَلْ أَنتُمْ يَومَئِذٍ كَثِيرٌ، وَلَكِنَّكُمْ غُثَاءٌ كَغُثَاءِ السَّيْلِ."
حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ رَوَاهُ أبو داود.
The Prophet (PBUH) said: "Nations are about to summon one another to attack you just like people invite one another to share their food."
Someone asked: "Will that happen because we will be few at that time?"
He replied: "No, you will be many at that time, but you will be scum like that carried down by a torrent."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَصَحبِهِ وَسَلَّمَ:
{ فَمَا يَبْرَحُ الْبَلَاءُ بِالْعَبْدِ حَتَّى يَتْرُكَهُ يَمْشِي عَلَى الْأَرْضِ مَا عَلَيْهِ خَطِيئَةٌ. }
حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ رَوَاهُ التِرمِذِي.
The Prophet (PBUH) said:
"A servant (of Allah) keeps facing affliction until he is left walking on earth without any sins."
Narrated by Tirmizi.
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ وَسَلَّمَ:
"إِنَّ النَّاسَ إِذَا رَأَوا الظَّالِمَ فَلَمْ يَأْخُذُوا عَلَى يَدَيْهِ، أَوْشَكَ أَنْ يَعُمَّهُمُ اللَّه بِعِقَابٍ مِنْهُ."
حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ رَوَاهُ التِرمِذِي.
يَأْخُذُوا عَلَى يَدَيْهِ أي يمنعوه من ظلمه.
The Prophet (PBUH) said:
"If people see an oppressor and do not stop him (prevent him from doing evil), it is likely that Allah will send a punishment that includes them all."
Narrated by Tirmithi.
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَصَحبِهِ وَسَلَّمَ:
"مَثَلُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فِي تَوَادِّهِمْ وَتَرَاحُمِهِمْ وَتَعَاطُفِهِمْ مَثَلُ الْجَسَدِ إِذَا اشْتَكَى مِنْهُ عُضْوٌ تَدَاعَى لَهُ سَائِرُ الْجَسَدِ بِالسَّهَرِ وَالْحُمَّى."
رواه البخاري ومسلم
The Prophet (PBUH) said:
"The believers in their mutual kindness, compassion and sympathy are just like one body. When one limb suffers, the whole body responds to it with wakefulness and fever."

"الْمُسْلِمُ أَخُو الْمُسْلِمِ، لَا يَظْلِمُهُ وَلَا يَخْذُلُهُ وَلَا يَحْقِرُهُ."

"A Muslim is a Muslim’s brother. He neither oppresses him, nor lets him down, nor despises him."

عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ الأَنْصَارِيِّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عنه قَالَ: جَاءَ رَجُلٌ بِنَاقَةٍ مَخْطُومَةٍ فَقَالَ: هَذِهِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ.
فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:
[ لَكَ بِهَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ سَبْعُمِائَةِ نَاقِةٍ كُلُّهَا مَخْطُومَةٌ. ]
رَوَاهُ مُسلِم.
مَخْطُومَةٍ = ذَلُولًا صالحةً للحَمْلِ والرُّكوبِ.
Abu Masoud Al-Ansari (May Allah be pleased with him) said that a man brought a muzzled she-camel and said, “This is to be devoted to Allah's path."
The prophet (PBUH) said to him,
"On the day of resurrection you will get for it seven hundred she-camels all of which will be muzzled."

عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال: جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إلى رَسولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّمَ فَقَالَ: دُلَّنِي علَى عَمَلٍ يَعْدِلُ الجِهَادَ.
قَالَ: [ لا أجِدُهُ. ]
قَالَ: [ هلْ تَسْتَطِيعُ إذَا خَرَجَ المُجَاهِدُ أنْ تَدْخُلَ مَسْجِدَكَ فَتَقُومَ ولَا تَفْتُرَ ، وتَصُومَ ولَا تُفْطِرَ؟ ]
قَالَ: ومَن يَسْتَطِيعُ ذلكَ؟!
رَوَاهُ البُخَاريُ
Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with him, said:
A man came to the prophet (PBUH) and said: guide me to a deed equivalent to jihad,
He (the prophet) said: "I can't find any".
"Can you, when the one going for jihad goes to it, enter your mosque, and pray non stop, and fast continously without break?."
The man said: and who can do that?

[ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ لاَ تَمَنَّوْا لِقَاءَ الْعَدُوِّ وَسَلُوا اللَّهَ الْعَافِيَةَ ، فَإِذَا لَقِيتُمُوهُمْ فَاصْبِرُوا وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ الْجَنَّةَ تَحْتَ ظِلاَلِ السُّيُوفِ. ]
رَوَاهُ البُخَاريُ
The Prophet (PBUH) said,
"O people! Do not wish to meet the enemy, and ask Allah for safety, but when you face the enemy, be patient, and remember that Paradise is under the shades of swords."

[ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ فِي يَدِهِ لَوْلاَ أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ مَا قَعَدْتُ خَلْفَ سَرِيَّةٍ تَغْزُو فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَلَكِنْ لاَ أَجِدُ سَعَةً فَأَحْمِلَهُمْ وَلاَ يَجِدُونَ سَعَةً فَيَتَّبِعُونِي وَلاَ تَطِيبُ أَنْفُسُهُمْ أَنْ يَقْعُدُوا بَعْدِي. ]
رَوَاهُ مُسلِم.
The Prophet (PBUH) said,
"By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, were it not that it would be too difficult for the Muslims, I would never have stayed behind from any expedition that went out in Allah's cause. But I could not find the resources to give them mounts and they could not find the resources to follow me, nor would they be pleased to stay behind if I went."

سُئل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وصحبه وسلم عن كثرة صيامه في شهر شعبان فقال:
( ذَلِكَ شَهْرٌ يَغْفُلُ النَّاسُ عَنْهُ بَيْنَ رَجَبٍ وَرَمَضَانَ ، وَهُوَ شَهْرٌ تُرْفَعُ فِيهِ الأعْمَالُ إِلَى رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ، فَأُحِبُّ أَنْ يُرْفَعَ عَمَلِي وَأَنَا صَائِمٌ.)
حَدِيثٌ حَسنٌ رواه أَحْمَدُ وَالنَّسَائِيُ
The Prophet (PBUH) was asked about his frequent fasting in Sha'ban, and he said:
"That is a month people do not pay much attention to between Rajab and Ramadan. It is a month in which deeds are taken up to the Lord of the worlds, and I like my deeds to be taken up when I am fasting."
Narrated by Ahmad and Al Nasaie.
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ وَصَحبِهِ وَسَلَّمَ:
{ إِنَّ مِنْ وَرَائِكُمْ أَيَّامَ الصَّبْرِ ، الصَّبْرُ فِيهِ مِثْلُ قَبْضٍ عَلَى الْجَمْرِ ، لِلْعَامِلِ فِيهِمْ مِثْلُ أَجْرِ خَمْسِينَ رَجُلا يَعْمَلُونَ مِثْلَ عَمَلِهِ ،
قيل يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَجْرُ خَمْسِينَ مِنْهُمْ ؟
قَالَ : أَجْرُ خَمْسِينَ مِنْكُمْ. }
حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ رَوَاهُ أبو داود.
The Prophet (PBUH) said,
"for ahead of you are days which will require endurance, in which showing endurance will be like grasping live coals. The one who acts rightly during that period will have the reward of fifty men who act as he does.
The hearers asked the Messenger, "the reward of fifty of them.? He replied: The reward of fifty of you".

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَصَحبِهِ وَسَلَّمَ:
[ يَقُولُ اللَّهُ سُبْحَانَهُ:
ابْنَ آدَمَ إِنْ صَبَرْتَ وَاحْتَسَبْتَ عِنْدَ الصَّدْمَةِ الأُولَى لَمْ أَرْضَ لَكَ ثَوَابًا دُونَ الْجَنَّةِ. ]
حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ رَوَاه ابن ماجة.
The Prophet (PBUH) said, Allah the Exalted says,
"Son of Adam, if you show endurance and seek your reward from me in the first affliction, I shall be pleased with no lesser reward than paradise for you."

عَنْ جَابِرَ بِنْ عَبْد الله رَضِيَ الله عَنْهُ قَالَ:
مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم بِيَاسِرٍ وَعَمَّارٍ وَأُمِّ عَمَّارٍ وَهُمْ يُؤْذَوْنَ فِي اللهِ تَعَالَى فَقَالَ لَهُمْ:
"صَبْرًا آل يَاسِرٍ صَبْرًا آل يَاسِرٍ فَإِنَّ مَوْعِدَكُمْ الْجَنَّةِ."
حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ رَوَاهُ الطبراني.
Abdullah Bin Jabir (May Allah be pleased with him) said that the prophet (PBUH) passed by Yasir, (his son) Ammar and (his wife) Um Ammar while they were being tortured in the way of Allah the Almighty, so he said to them:
"Patience, oh family of Yasir. Patience, oh family of Yasir, for your (promised) destiny is paradise."

عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أّبِي وّقَّاصٍ رَضِيَ الله عَنْهُ قَالَ:
قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ : أَيُّ النَّاسِ أَشَدُّ بَلَاءً ؟
قَالَ: { الْأَنْبِيَاءُ ثُمَّ الْأَمْثَلُ فَالْأَمْثَلُ }.
حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ رَوَاهُ التِرمِذِي.
الْأَمْثَلُ فَالْأَمْثَلُ = الأَفْضَلُ فَالأَفْضَلُ
Saad Bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) said:
"I asked: ‘O Messenger of Allah, which people are most severely tested?’
He said: ‘The Prophets, then the next best and the next best."

عَنِ البَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ رضي الله عنه قَالَ:
"أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِسَبْعٍ ، أَمَرَنَا بِعِيَادَةِ المَرِيضِ ، وَاتِّبَاعِ الجِنَازَةِ ، وَتَشْمِيتِ العَاطِسِ ، وَإِجَابَةِ الدَّاعِي ، وَإِفْشَاءِ السَّلاَمِ ، وَنَصْرِ المَظْلُومِ ، وَإِبْرَارِ المُقْسِمِ."
رواه البخاري ومسلم.
وَإِبْرَارِ المُقْسِمِ = فعل مَا أَرَادَ الحالف مِنْكَ ما لمْ يكُن اثماً.
Al Bara Bin Azib (May Allah be pleased with him) said:
"The Prophet (PBUH) ordered us to observe seven things. He ordered us to visit the sick, follow the funeral (of a dead believer), invoke the mercy of Allah upon one who sneezes (by saying 'May Allah have mercy on you' when he says 'Praise be to Allah'), accept the invitation, promote the greeting of 'peace be upon you', help the oppressed and fulfill the oath of one who takes an oath (as long as it is not a misdeed)."

"مَا مِنْ امْرِئٍ يَخْذُلُ امْرَأً مُسْلِمًا عِنْدَ مَوْطِنٍ تُنْتَهَكُ فِيهِ حُرْمَتُهُ وَيُنْتَقَصُ فِيهِ مِنْ عِرْضِهِ، إِلَّا خَذَلَهُ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فِي مَوْطِنٍ يُحِبُّ فِيهِ نُصْرَتَهُ."
حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ رَوَاهُ أحمد.
The Prophet (PBUH) said:
"If any of you deserts a Muslim in a situation in which his rights are being violated and his honour is being degraded, Allah the Exalted shall desert him in a situation in which he needs his support."

عن أَبي موسى الأشعرِيِّ رَضي اللَّه عنهُ أَنَّ رسول اللَّهِ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم كانَ إذا خَافَ قَوماً قال:
[ اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نجعلُكَ في نحورِهِمْ ، ونعُوذُ بِك مِنْ شرُوِرِهمْ. ]
حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ رَوَاهُ أبو داود
Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that when the prophet (PBUH) had any fear of an enemy, he used to supplicate:
"Oh Allah ! We put You in front of them, and we seek refuge in You from their evils."

عَنْ بُرَيْدَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عنه قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَمَّرَ أَمِيرًا عَلَى جَيْشٍ أَوْ سَرِيَّةٍ أَوْصَاهُ فِي خَاصَّتِهِ بِتَقْوَى اللَّهِ وَمَنْ مَعَهُ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ خَيْرًا ثُمَّ قَالَ:
[ اغْزُوا بِاسْمِ اللَّهِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ قَاتِلُوا مَنْ كَفَرَ بِاللَّهِ اغْزُوا وَلاَ تَغُلُّوا وَلاَ تَغْدِرُوا وَلاَ تَمْثُلُوا وَلاَ تَقْتُلُوا وَلِيدًا.]
رَوَاهُ مُسلِم.
لا تَغُلُّوا = لا تَخُونوا في الغَنِيمَةِ.
ولا تُمثِّلوا = لا تُشوِّهوا القَتلى.
Buraida (May Allah be pleased with him) narrated that when the prophet (PBUH) appointed a commander over an army or a detachment he instructed him to fear Allah himself and consider the welfare of the Muslims who were with him. He then said,
"Go forth in Allah's name in Allah's path and fight with those who disbelieve in Allah. Go forth and do not be unfaithful regarding booty, or treacherous, or mutilate the dead, or kill a child."

[ لاَ هِجْرَةَ بَعْدَ الْفَتْحِ وَلَكِنْ جِهَادٌ وَنِيَّةٌ،
وَإِذَا اسْتُنْفِرْتُمْ فَانْفِرُوا. ]
رَوَاهُ البُخَاريُ و مُسْلِم.
The Prophet (PBUH) said,
"There is no migration after the Conquest (of Mecca), but Jihad and sincere intention."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَصَحبِهِ وَسَلَّمَ:
[ لاَ تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يُقَاتِلَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ الْيَهُودَ فَيَقْتُلُهُمُ الْمُسْلِمُونَ ، حَتَّى يَخْتَبِئَ الْيَهُودِيُّ مِنْ وَرَاءِ الْحَجَرِ وَالشَّجَرِ فَيَقُولُ الْحَجَرُ أَوِ الشَّجَرُ: يَا مُسْلِمُ يَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ هَذَا يَهُودِيٌّ خَلْفِي فَتَعَالَ فَاقْتُلْهُ. إِلاَّ الْغَرْقَدَ فَإِنَّهُ مِنْ شَجَرِ الْيَهُودِ. ]
رَوَاهُ مُسلِم.
The Prophet (PBUH) said,
"The Last Hour will not come until the Muslims fight against the Jews, until a Jew will hide himself behind a stone or a tree, and the stone or the tree will say: 'O Muslim, there is a Jew behind me. Come and kill him,' but Al-Gharqad tree will not say so, for it is the tree of the Jews."

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنَ أَبِي أَوْفَى رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: دَعَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الأَحْزَابِ عَلَى الْمُشْرِكِينَ فَقَالَ:
[ اللَّهُمَّ مُنْزِلَ الْكِتَابِ سَرِيعَ الْحِسَابِ ، اللَّهُمَّ اهْزِمِ الأَحْزَابَ ، اللَّهُمَّ اهْزِمْهُمْ وَزَلْزِلْهُمْ. ]
رَوَاهُ البُخَاريُ
Abdallah Ben Abi Awfa narrated that the prophet (PBUH) invoked a curse on the polytheists at the battle of the Confederates, saying,
"O Allah, who hast sent down the Book and quick- taker of reckoning; O Allah, defeat the Confederates, shake them."
