قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَصَحبِهِ وَسَلَّمَ:
{ هَلْ تُنْصَرُونَ وَتُرْزَقُونَ إِلا بِضُعَفَائِكُمْ. }
رَوَاهُ البخاري.
The Prophet (PBUH) said,
{ You gain no victory or livelihood except through (the blessings of) the poor amongst you. }

( وَاعْلَمْ أنَّ فِي الصَّبْرِ عَلَى مَا تَكْرَهُ خَيْرًا كَثِيرًا ، وَأَنَّ النَّصْرَ مَعَ الصَّبْرِ ، وَأَنَّ الْفَرَجَ مَعَ الْكَرْبِ ، وَأَنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا )
حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ رَوَاهُ أحمد.
The Prophet (PBUH) said,
"Know that there is much good in being patient with what you detest, victory will come with patience, relief will come with affliction, and with the hardship will come an ease."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَصَحبِهِ وَسَلَّمَ:
[ طُوبَى لِعَبْدٍ آخِذٍ بِعِنَانِ فَرَسِهِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ، أَشْعَثَ رَأْسُهُ مُغْبَرَّةٍ قَدَمَاهُ ، إِنْ كَانَ فِي الْحِرَاسَةِ كَانَ فِي الْحِرَاسَةِ ، وَإِنْ كَانَ فِي السَّاقَةِ كَانَ فِي السَّاقَةِ ، إِنِ اسْتَأْذَنَ لَمْ يُؤْذَنْ لَهُ ، وَإِنْ شَفَعَ لَمْ يُشَفَّعْ. ]
رَوَاهُ البُخَاريُ
السَّاقَةُ = مُؤخِّرةُ الجَيشِ.
The Prophet (PBUH) said,
"Paradise is for a servant who holds the reins of his horse to strive in Allah's Cause, with his hair unkempt and feet covered with dust: if he is appointed in the vanguard, he is perfectly satisfied with his post of guarding, and if he is appointed in the rearward, he accepts his post with satisfaction; (he is so simple and unambiguous that) if he asks for permission he is not permitted, and if he intercedes, his intercession is not accepted."

[ مَا يَجِدُ الشَّهِيدُ مِنْ مَسِّ الْقَتْلِ إِلاَّ كَمَا يَجِدُ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ مَسِّ الْقَرْصَةِ. ]
حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِي.
مَسِّ الْقَتْلِ = ألم القتل.
The Prophet (PBUH) said,
"The martyr does not feel the pain of being killed, except as any one of you feels a pinch. (by a bug)"

[ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَوَدِدْتُ أَنِّي أَغْزُو فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَأُقْتَلُ ثُمَّ أَغْزُو فَأُقْتَلُ ثُمَّ أَغْزُو فَأُقْتَلُ. ]
رَوَاهُ مُسلِم.
The prophet (PBUH) said,
"By the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad, I wish I could fight in Allah's cause and be killed, then fight and be killed, then fight and be killed."

عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ:
( قَالَ رَجُلٌ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ قُتِلْتُ فَأَيْنَ أَنَا ؟
قَالَ: [ فِي الْجَنَّةِ. ] فَأَلْقَى تَمَرَاتٍ فِي يَدِهِ ، ثُمَّ قَاتَلَ حَتَّى قُتِلَ. )
رَوَاهُ البُخَاريُ.
Jabir the son of Abdullah (May Allah be pleased with them) reported, a man, said to the Prophet (PBUH) during the battle of Uhud:
"Tell me where I shall be if I am killed". When he (PBUH) replied that he would be in Paradise, the man threw away some dates which he had in his hand and fought until he was killed."

[ إِنَّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ مِائَةَ دَرَجَةٍ أَعَدَّهَا اللَّهُ لِلْمُجَاهِدِينَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ، مَا بَيْنَ الدَّرَجَتَيْنِ كَمَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالأَرْضِ. ]
رَوَاهُ البُخَاريُ.
The prophet (PBUH) said,
"In Paradise there are a hundred grades which Allah has prepared for those who fight in His Cause; and the distance between any two of those grades is like the distance between the heaven and the earth."

[ وَمَنْ جُرِحَ جُرْحًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَوْ نُكِبَ نَكْبَةً فَإِنَّهَا تَجِيءُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كَأَغْزَرِ مَا كَانَتْ لَوْنُهَا لَوْنُ الزَّعْفَرَانِ وَرِيحُهَا رِيحُ الْمِسْكِ. ]
حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ رَوَاهُ أبو داود.
The prophet (PBUH) said,
"if anyone is wounded in Allah’s path or suffers a misfortune, it will come on the day of resurrection as copious as possible, its colour saffron and its odour musk."

[ مَنْ قَاتَلَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فُوَاقَ نَاقَةٍ فَقَدْ وَجَبَتْ لَهُ الْجَنَّةُ وَمَنْ سَأَلَ اللَّهَ الْقَتْلَ مِنْ نَفْسِهِ صَادِقًا ثُمَّ مَاتَ أَوْ قُتِلَ فَإِنَّ لَهُ أَجْرَ شَهِيدٍ. ]
حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ رَوَاهُ أبو داود.
فُوَاقَ نَاقَةٍ = مِقدار الوقتِ بينَ الحَلْبَتَيْنِ.
The prophet (PBUH) said,
"If anyone fights in Allah's path as long as the time between two milkings of a she-camel, Paradise will be assured for him. If anyone sincerely asks Allah for being killed and then dies or is killed, there will be a reward of a martyr for him."

[ لَنْ يَبْرَحَ هَذَا الدِّينُ قَائِمًا يُقَاتِلُ عَلَيْهِ عِصَابَةٌ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ حَتَّى تَقُومَ السَّاعَةُ. ]
رَوَاه مُسلِم.
The Prophet (PBUH) said,
"This religion will continue to exist, and a group of people from the Muslims will continue to fight for its protection until the last Hour comes."
Narrated by Muslim.
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ وَ صَحْبِهِ وَسَلَّمَ:
[ لَغَدْوَةٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَوْ رَوْحَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا. ]
رَوَاهُ البُخَاريُ ومُسلِم.
الَغَدْوَةُ و الرَوْحَةُ = المشيَ في سَبيلِ اللهِ صباحاً ومساءً.
The Prophet (PBUH) said,
"Leaving (for Jihad) in Allah's cause in the morning or in the evening (will merit a reward) better than the world and what it contains."

"No man whose feet become dusty in Allah’s path will be touched by the fire (of Hell).”

The Prophet (PBUH) said,
"He who dies without having gone or thought of going out for Jihad in Allah's cause, will die while being guilty of having one of the qualities of hypocrisy.”

"مَن سأَلَ اللهَ الشَّهادةَ بصدقٍ ، بلَّغه اللهُ منازلَ الشُّهداءِ ، وإنْ مات على فِراشِه."

The Prophet (PBUH) said:
"He who sincerely asks Allah for martyrdom, Allah will make him reach the ranks of martyrs, even if he dies on his bed."

( مَنْ جَهَّزَ غَازِيًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَقَدْ غَزَا ، وَمَنْ خَلَفَ غَازِيًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ بِخَيْرٍ فَقَدْ غَزَا. )
رواه البخاري.
The Prophet (PBUH) said:
"He who equips a fighter in the way of Allah is like one who actually fights. and he who looks after the family of a fighter in the way of Allah in fact participated in the battle."

عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ يَقُولُ:
[ وَأَعِدُّوا لَهُمْ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ مِنْ قُوَّةٍ ، أَلاَ إِنَّ الْقُوَّةَ الرَّمْيُ أَلاَ إِنَّ الْقُوَّةَ الرَّمْيُ أَلاَ إِنَّ الْقُوَّةَ الرَّمْيُ. ]
رَوَاهُ مُسلِم
Uqabah Ben Amir narrated, I heard the prophet (PBUH) recite when he was on the pulpit
"Against them make ready your strength to the utmost of your power. Beware, strength is shooting, beware strength is shooting, beware strength is shooting."

[ أَلا أُنَبِّئُكُمْ بليلةٍ أفضلَ من ليلةِ القدرِ؟ حارِسُ الحَرَسِ في أرضِ خَوْفٍ لعلَّهُ ألّا يرجعَ إلى أهلِهِ. ]
حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ رَوَاهُ النَسائي.
The Prophet (PBUH) said,
"Shall I not inform you of a night better than Laylat Al-Qadr? A guard in a land of fear, perhaps not returning to his family."

[ لَيْسَ شَيْءٌ أَحَبَّ إِلَى اللَّهِ مِنْ قَطْرَتَيْنِ وَأَثَرَيْنِ ، قَطْرَةٌ مِنْ دُمُوعٍ فِي خَشْيَةِ اللَّهِ ، وَقَطْرَةُ دَمٍ تُهَرَاقُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ، وَأَمَّا الأَثَرَانِ فَأَثَرٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ، وَأَثَرٌ فِي فَرِيضَةٍ مِنْ فَرَائِضِ اللَّهِ. ]
حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِي
The Prophet (PBUH) said,
"There is nothing more beloved to Allah than two drops and two traces: A teardrop shed out of Allah's fear, and a drop of blood shed in Allah's cause. As for the two traces: A trace resulting in Allah's cause, and a trace resulting from one of the duties that Allah made obligatory."

[ مَا أَحَدٌ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ يُحِبُّ أَنْ يَرْجِعَ إِلَى الدُّنْيَا وَلَهُ مَا عَلَى الأَرْضِ مِنْ شَيْءٍ ، إِلاَّ الشَّهِيدُ ، يَتَمَنَّى أَنْ يَرْجِعَ إِلَى الدُّنْيَا فَيُقْتَلَ عَشْرَ مَرَّاتٍ ، لِمَا يَرَى مِنَ الْكَرَامَةِ. ]
رَوَاهُ البُخَاريُ و مُسْلِم.
The prophet (PBUH) said,
"No one who enters paradise will want to return to the world and have anything in the earth except the martyr. He will wish to return to the world and be killed ten times because of the honor he sees."

عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عنه قال:
قَامَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ قُتِلْتُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ تُكَفَّرُ عَنِّي خَطَايَايَ ؟
فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:
[ نَعَمْ إِنْ قُتِلْتَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَأَنْتَ صَابِرٌ مُحْتَسِبٌ مُقْبِلٌ غَيْرُ مُدْبِرٍ. ]
رَوَاهُ مُسلِم.
Abu Qatada (May Allah be pleased with him) narrated that A man rose and said,
"Tell me, Messenger of Allah, if I am killed in Allah’s path will my sins be covered up?" The prophet said, "Yes, while you are showing endurance, seeking your reward from Allah, facing the enemy, not running away."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَصَحبِهِ وَسَلَّمَ:
[ لِلشَّهِيدِ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ سِتُّ خِصَالٍ ، يُغْفَرُ لَهُ فِي أَوَّلِ دَفْعَةٍ مِنْ دَمِهِ ، وَيُرَى مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ ، وَيُجَارُ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ ، وَيَأْمَنُ مِنَ الْفَزَعِ الأَكْبَرِ ، وَيُحَلَّى حُلَّةَ الإِيمَانِ ، وَيُزَوَّجُ مِنَ الْحُورِ الْعِينِ ، وَيُشَفَّعُ فِي سَبْعِينَ إِنْسَانًا مِنْ أَقَارِبِهِ. ]
حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ رَوَاهُ ابن ماجه.
The prophet (PBUH) said,
"The martyr has six things (in store) with Allah: He is forgiven from the first drop of his blood that is shed; he is shown his place in Paradise; he is spared the torment of the grave; he is kept safe from the Great Fright; he is adorned with a garment of faith; he is married to (wives) from among the wide-eyed houris; and he is permitted to intercede for seventy of his relatives."

[ تَضَمَّنَ اللَّهُ لِمَن خَرَجَ في سَبيلِهِ ، لا يُخْرِجُهُ إلَّا جِهادًا في سَبيلِي ، وإيمانًا بي ، وتَصْدِيقًا برُسُلِي ، فَهو عَلَيَّ ضامِنٌ أنْ أُدْخِلَهُ الجَنَّةَ ، أوْ أرْجِعَهُ إلى مَسْكَنِهِ الذي خَرَجَ منه ، نائِلًا ما نالَ مِن أجْرٍ ، أوْ غَنِيمَةٍ. ]
رَوَاهُ مُسْلِم.
تَضَمَّنَ اللَّهُ = أوجب الله تعالى له الجَنَّة.
The prophet (PBUH) said,
"Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, has guaranteed to the one who goes out in His cause, 'and he does not go out for any other purpose except Jihad in My cause and faith in Me, believing in My Messengers, but he is guaranteed that I will admit him to Paradise or I will send him back to his dwelling from which he set out, having acquired whatever he acquired of reward or spoils of war."

[ مَثَلُ الْمُجَاهِدِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ كَمَثَلِ الصَّائِمِ الْقَائِمِ الْقَانِتِ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ لاَ يَفْتُرُ مِنْ صِيَامٍ وَلاَ صَلاَةٍ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ الْمُجَاهِدُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى. ]
رَوَاهُ مُسْلِم.
The prophet (PBUH) said,
"He who engages in jihad in Allah’s path is like him who fasts and spends the night in prayer, who assiduously recites Allah’s verses and does not slacken from fasting and prayer until he who is engaged in jihad in God’s path returns."
Narrated by Muslim.

The Prophet (PBUH) said,
"The one who fights for Allah’s word to become Superior, is striving in Allah’s Cause."

[ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لاَ يُكْلَمُ أَحَدٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ يُكْلَمُ فِي سَبِيلِهِ إِلاَّ جَاءَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَاللَّوْنُ لَوْنُ الدَّمِ وَالرِّيحُ رِيحُ الْمِسْكِ. ]
رَوَاهُ البُخَاريُ ، ومُسلِم باختلافٍ يسير.
يُكْلَمُ = يُجرح.
The Prophet (PBUH) said,
"By He in Whose Hands my soul is! Whoever is wounded in Allah's Cause and Allah knows well who gets wounded in His Cause will come on the Day of Resurrection with his wound having the color of blood but the scent of musk."
Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim with slight difference.

The Prophet (PBUH) said,
"Fight the polytheists with your wealth , lives and tongues."

[ الشُّهَدَاءُ خَمْسَةٌ الْمَطْعُونُ ، وَالْمَبْطُونُ ، وَالْغَرِقُ وَصَاحِبُ الْهَدْمِ ، وَالشَّهِيدُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ. ]
رَوَاهُ البُخَاريُ و مُسْلِم.
المَطعونُ = الَّذي يَموتُ في الطَّاعونِ.
المَبطونُ = مَن مات بِداءِ البَطْنِ.
صاحِبُ الهَدْمِ = الَّذي ماتَ تَحتَ الهَدْمِ.

"There are five types of martyr:
one who dies of plague, one who dies of abdominal disease, one who is drowned, one who is killed by falling building on him, and the martyr in Allah’s path."

[ ثلاثةٌ لا ترى أعينُهم النَّارَ: عينٌ حَرستْ في سبيلِ اللهِ ، وعينٌ بكتْ من خشيةِ اللهِ ، وعينٌ كفَّتْ عن محارمِ اللهِ. ]
حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ رَوَاهُ الطبراني.
The Prophet (PBUH) said:
"Three eyes will not see hellfire. An eye that kept guard in the cause of Allah, An eye that wept out of fear of Allah And an eye that abstained from looking at the prohibitions of Allah."

عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عنه أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَ بَعْثًا إِلَى بَنِي لِحْيَانَ مِنْ هُذَيْلٍ فَقَالَ:
[ لِيَنْبَعِثْ مِنْ كُلِّ رَجُلَيْنِ أَحَدُهُمَا ،
وَالأَجْرُ بَيْنَهُمَا. ]
رَوَاهُ مُسلِم.
وَالأَجْرُ بَيْنَهُمَا = الغازي و من خلفه في أهله ، شركاء في الأجر.
Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) told that prophet (PBUH) sent a force to Bani Lihyan who were a section from Hudhail,
"saying that one out of every two men should be sent and the reward (will be divided) between the two men."
Narrated by Muslim.
